Revisiting My Unknown Stamps Folder
Вставка

- I have a folder for stamps I failed to identify from the last couple of years. I tried and gave up, then put them in this folder. Luckily, I am better at identifying stamps these days and have another go at them. I only go through half of them in this video and will do a follow-up episode to finish off the leftovers. This was fun! I hope you all enjoyed the search!

Note that the perfs in Scott are not exact as actual perfs may be 13.8 for example (see Stanley Gibbons catalog for some perf listings like this) so Scott would list this as 14 so it wouldn’t match up with your perf gauge.
I enjoyed the wrestling match between you and the Tibet stamp. 😀 I also learned a lot during the process about finding a stamp in a catalogue and identifying it. Not so simple! Thanks again for an enjoyable episode with something to learn.
😄 Glad you enjoyed!
Hi Kyle, the first item you showed is an airmail label from Israel. The inscription is in Hebrew and French, and it is probably an airmail label from the 1960s
Thanks!
Your first stamp is written in Hebrew. It says in Hebrew:Doar ivry. in English:Israeli post. The second one at 2:00 is, I believe, Persia, or Iran.
Yes, it looks Iranian
IT MAY WELL BE A FIRST PRINT WITH THE INKING HAND WRITTEN ON BACK FOR APPROVAL ON BACK SIGNATORY FOR COLOUR PRINT ETC LIKE SILK SCREENING THANKS.
IM ENVIOUS AT YOUR EQUIPMENT FLUMOXED.

I just installed colnect identifier and it's not free
I've been using it for free for about a year now. You just have to deal with ads unless you want to upgrade to the premium version.
@@KylesStampsYeah, I get it now. It brought up an unidentifiable stamp from Faridkot India state. Kool!
@@dennisferguson9129 I ended up buying the premium since I use it so much. Sometimes it is quite valuable to me!
