Most of those are serious books for serious philatelists. I'd definitely recommend a Stanley Gibbons Part 1 catalogue if you collect GB and British Commonwealth stamps AND READ THE INTRODUCTORY PAGES! Nearly every question asked by collectors is answered in those pages at the front. It would be useful to hear your views on SG vs Scott vs Michel vs Yvert...a World Cup of stamp catalogues? Some collecting areas are also served by wonderful one country catalogues too such as Heijtz Falkland Islands handbook.

Yes. This is good advice. If anyone collects African stamps then please check out Africastamps (after looking at our website first, of course!) who are knowledgeable and well respected in the area.

Your video was recommend from UA-cam. I come from Germany and it was really interesting to hear some recommendations from UK on areas you do not find a lot in Germany. One recommandation from my side: You can show the cover of each book in the video, so it is far easier to recognise if someone is interested in the book. It is not a must, but gives the video a higher quality.

Great video, Andy and Vincent!! I actually have a copy of THE QUEEN'S STAMPS by Nicholas Courtney that sits among my modest collection of philatelic literature. It's definitely one of my favorites!! BTW. I've been collecting stamps for 42 years since the age of twelve and I've enjoyed every moment of it!! :) :) :) :)

Superb books regarding books of stamps With wide range of information But I still prefer Stanley Gibbons collection of 1970 magazine 1969 each monthly magazines it gives insight of wide range of Auctioneers that disappeared over time Black-and-white print and as color was coming in on television and magazines and books
