  • This is a rather random video that I didn't really have a plan for so I just wing it. I discuss my issues with the US stock books that I had created. Then we look at encased postage stamps which I wish I could afford and have always wanted. Finally we look at a small album of stamps from Bangladesh!
Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe if you enjoy my content!

I use older card files metal or wood for my us and forgien stamps that aren't in my books, UT it works for me. I think there are easy and harder ways to store but what works for you is what makes you happy😊 stamps rock

So sorry to hear about your rough 14 days. However, spending time with your stamp collection brings peace. Stock cards are absolutely the way to go. I've got empty vario pages in binders too. Thankfully only 2 small binders.

Yeah if I were ever intending to keep large stock again I would do stock cards for sure.

Hello Kyle! First, aawwww, I am so sorry you had to endure fraud with your money, and all the crap coming with it, apart from the financial implications. I sincerely hope it was the end of it!!! I get very angry at thieves stealing from honest, hard working people, including fraud. It is something to make one throw up. I have NO time for it, even if someone wants to give all kinds of excuses for it. Wow, I should not get going. ... Your experience with how you stored your US duplicates is hugely valuable to learn from. Nothing as precious as learning from experience. Thanks for sharing. Somehow I did not get into catalogue numbers yet, and sort of still disregard them. I largely use year(s) of issue and the title of stamps for sorting etc. Probably stupid of me and probably because I could not afford proper catalogues yet. ... I am sure you already thought of many different ways - but did you contemplate yet to sell packets with mixed "common" US stamps? Or something similar, or is it not worth it? ... Those stack of cards from which you got the card for your grandmother are BEAUTIFUL! The way your used the washi tape and the seal are so special and artistic. Thanks for mentioning my name! Made me feel very important. :))))) ... First time I heard about encased postage stamps. Strange concept. ... And the cherry on the top of a very enjoyable random video ... the stamps. Thanks for the nice visit! Take care!!!!

Hah, so you hate fraud as much as me!! 😄Glad you can benefit from my experience with those binders! Indeed I did consider just US packets but I ended up deciding on mixed because it was easier to throw everything into one tub. From past collections I just had SO much extra mixed stamps that I thought to myself, "What am I actually going to do with this stuff?". I contemplated lots of things but fell on grab bags, one that I was actually a fair deal and something I'd be happy to buy myself. I wouldn't know about washi tape without you and I thank you for that. I got into trying to make the coolest letters I could at some point and when I saw you use it I thought that was brilliant. I'm glad you enjoyed the video Charnie, thank you so much!

Wells Fargo has a bad reputation. I would never bank there. Vario pages are not cheap but shipping cost is what gets you. I still need some one pocket black ones. Encased stamps are interesting but since you have to damage the stamp to encase it I have never considered them. It is nice to hear that you still have your Grandmother around. My Grandparens passed away when I was very young and my parents when I was in my early 20's so it is nice to hear when people still have them around. I like your tools for sealing a letter. I used to do that many, many years ago for special letters but I just used a match to drip the wax on th envelope before affixing my seal. I collect up through 1969 and Bangladesh got its independence from Pakistan in the early 70's so it is beyond my collecting range but it is nice to see stamps that I am not familiar with. Bangladesh should be easy enough to get a complete country. Rotary International is an organization that helps people around the world. Many countries have issued stamps for Rotary. The Romanian boy is King Michael who ascended the throne when he was 5 years old after the death of his Grandfather and the renunciation of his father. Just an FYI, the 4 postage due stamps at the end are from The Netherlands.

I forgot that I ended up buying Vario pages in bulk packs from eBay which helped with the cost a bit. I am glad grandma is still around, it's a shame we all have to suffer the loss of the ones we love. I've seen the Rotary Club on stamps many times but never bothered to look them up. It figures they were something special considering how many times they get referenced on stamps. Thanks for the info Robert.

Hi, from Bangladesh, in here, i can tell you one thing for sure. Us, German, western stamps are more available than the Bangladeshi onces in local philately markets. 😂
And specially commemorative stamps are hardly used outside of capital Dhaka, only definatives. So thats why commemorative used stamps are hardly found. Most in mint condition from philately Bureau or dealers.
Currently our registered letter is the cheapest in world. Costs like 10 taka(0.08$) domestic. Thats why most of our stamp value are 10 tk(after 2012)

Are you using a debit card for ANYTHING? Debit cards should never be used for anything you can use a credit card for. I cut up debit cards when sent to me because they are a direct line to you bank accounts whereas as you can very easily and quickly clear a fraudulent transaction from a credit card and simply get a new card sent to you.

I pretty much live out of my credit cards and never use my debit card. Most of the time I forget I even have one. Although, I do have many services that hook up directly to my checking account like bills, etc. I agree the credit card fraud is bearable, this is the first time some one has gotten into my checking account and it has been a total shitshow trying to get everything secure again. I hope my problems are over at this point.
