If your Facebook ad account has gotten banned even though you're pretty sure you've done nothing wrong, don't worry, you're not alone. This is happening to a lot of people right now.

Sadly I have had 2 business manager accounts permanently restricted in the last 4 months. Each account was warmed up with all the best practice tips from the like of yourself and Andrew Southworth, different bank cards, 3 weeks of 5 - 10 bucks a day engagement campaigns etc. The only thing I noticed is that when I increase the amount of ad sets run from 1 to 2/4 my account was flagged. My ad spend never went over $15 a day. The biggest problem is there is no alternative advertising method that is this effective, FB owns the market. If I could take my ad spend else where I would.

It wouldn’t bother me that Facebook was “winning” in advertising except for this. At least in the old days, if you advertised with someone, you got to talk to an account representative. This opaqueness is reprehensible. You are their CUSTOMER. Other people are losing jobs but Facebook clearly isn’t replacing them.

@@tomdupreeiii Facebook are perpetually unhelpful, a list of good practice procedures from them would help no end. Seems like guess work as to what triggers restrictions. Thanks again for all your info.

My account got shut down 4 days ago, for policy violation and I never did anything wrong and never violated any policy. And all of a sudden I come across this video.
I am currently in the process of verifying my business, sent all documents, IDs etc and waiting for results. Very strange that this big social companies have become so big you have to beg them to take money from us. There is something going wrong with the whole world, last I remembered the sellers used to try to convince buyers to part with their money and in the world we live in sellers are banning buyers for no valid reason at all and buyers are reduced to begging sellers to take their money for free (for no actual product delivery).
did you get your results? FB is asking for stuff i dont have. it doesnt make any sense. im not a legit business, but we can still legally do business as a sole proprietor.
@@tordy4963 I had submitted my documents a few days ago. Even their process of verification is not so good. They pulled up some records related to the business name from internet, instead of going to company registrar and other valid sources to verify the business. I could not edit these records or make corrections so had to enter all the correct data again, which meant a lot of additional evidence was needed to be submitted. Now its been a while and I have not had a response back yet.
From what I had seen in their verification process I dont feel their business process takes into account the sole trader scenario unless you have a website and email on that website domain. If you dont have a company, dont have a website that shows up in the facebook search and no email on that website domain, you may not pass their validation from what I noticed.

My account was suspended last Thursday right when we were about to launch a new song. This account has been running ads on and off for over 5 years so it is definitely warmed up. The only thing I can think of that might have triggered it was adding another Instagram account since it was going to be an ad campaign split between the two artists who made the song.
Anyway, first time with facebook support they said verify your business. Turns out, you need business documents not just your personal documents. I don't have that, not a registered business. Business verification was denied. So I went back to support chat and I got someone useful who said they are passing the issue up to a specialist to review. This is supposed to be solved by tomorrow they said. We'll see.

Last week I was promoting an artist of my roster and her Ad account was disabled with no reason. She is a super emerging artist, we created her social media accounts just 1 month ago and she only got 250 followers on both FB and IG. She is posting 3 times a week on IG, 2 times a week on FB and 2-3 times a day on Stories. Her Ad account was new BUT I always run awareness, engagement or video views campaigns before running a conversion campaign. So, in this case I was running a video views campaign and a parallel conversion campaign retargeting only the 95% custom audience from the video views campaign. It’s the first time in my life I see an Ad account managed by me blocked... It’s unbelievable

@@tordy4963 I do not recommend creating a new one because Facebook will think you want to elude its security block. To unlock there are always instructions, sometimes FB ask you an ID doc or stuffs like that. This time I just had to request manual verification and wait. I suggest to open a ticket with a FB operator so you can request updates on your case

Tom, my ad account has been shut down for the past two weeks. It's been a disaster. Ive been trying to verify my business. Tried to merge my ad account with a new business account. With the ios14 situation, you have to verify your domain. The only way to verify your domain is with a verified business account through fb. I don't know why no one has mentioned this. Andrew said to merge your existing ad account with your new business account. I did that and got flagged and disabled immediately. Trying to verify my 'business' even though im a sole proprietor like most of you all..has been a total pain.

I need help with my disabled ad account, do you offer this service?
Hi Tom, I was actually running two ads (10$ each per day, Conversion Ad). And suddenly my ads were disabled, and Im being requested to verify my business account in Facebook in which Im required to submit legal company papers. Im a music producer, so I do not own a legal company with papers. So i don’t know how to verify my business account. According to Facebook, once I verify my business account I will be able to enable my ad account again.

@@sebastianngulube2458 I waited awhile and they eventually marked the account suspension as a mistake on their end. I did verify myself as a business first which also took awhile. I didn't need any official documents though. Took about a month in total. I bothered the support chat people every few days. They will tell you the same stuff every single time but it might have helped. Hope that helps.

@@sebastianngulube2458 Hey so I'm assuming you know where the business verification area is. I just added my drivers license and a bank statement pdf with my current address.
any advice if they disable your account and ask for you to "verify your business"? This is for an independent artist I'm working with who doesn't technically have a registered business with the state, just trying to promote music.
I would definitely go through the steps to verify if you can. You'll need to fill out some information and potentially work through some educational materials to bring your account back into good standing, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

Dude, I have just been closed down. I can see now that I did everything the wrong way. I created my artist page on Facebook and from day one I ran 2 campaigns and after that I got permanently blocked. Just like that. Opened a new facebook page, will try to stick to your tips this time.
BTW. Is it better to start a facebook account and then add a new artist page or I can use my old account (which is not restriced btw) greets

Im so confused i started a page, uploaded reels that was it, i have no notifications, i cant get in touch with someone, then i seen that its said restricted for 24hours, I think it was because i didnt have 2 factor auth on and i was switching from the page to my normal Facebook. So i wait 24 hours to the minute and i try again and it worked, then i tried another video this time didnt work. I don't have that same notification saying time frame, just that its restricted again. Can anyone help me, i have one ad running and its fine still active and going. I have no idea why this is so complicated and i there is no one to contact on facebook at all, I have it linked to an Instagram account as well but thats running fine and i can still upload there

Tiktok organic has taken market share and is not slowing down. Short content is blowing up.

Hi Tom this happened to me. I’ve been absolutely devastated. My new single absolutely flopped because of this problem. I also have a notification on my Instagram saying that ads are disabled on there too so I can’t even promote posts on Instagram. I’m not sure what the solution would be here. I’ve been told I’m not getting my ad account back by Facebook. I have a personal ad account still available. Am I right in thinking I can make a new business account for that ad account and re connect my Instagram too it??
This has truly put me off working with Facebook. It’s been the best way to promote my music but it’s caused me so much upset this past few week I’m not sure I can go through it all again worrying if I’m doing something wrong

If you're using a pixel, then yes, I'd recommend warming up your account.

If you click the help icon in your ads manager there should be a set of prompts to get you to the support chat.
