Ragnar has other qualities that command his respect. He thinks outside the box and does whatever it takes to win. People love to follow winners because they feel like theyre on the right path. He forgives those close to him but not after theyve felt his wrath. This works both ways though since it made an enemy out of Rollo but a close friend and extremely loyal follower in Floki. Ragnar is not fearless, but rather shows no fear in the face of danger. He controls his emotions and harnesses his fears which intimidates and defuses.
“Most of what you think of as your need to express yourself is to merely offset your insecurity. Here you realize that everything you say has value or should have value. Even when you are being light hearted, you want it to be a meaningful experience without trying to create the meaning. Here you become more natural. You become more like the natural world, which is silent and still except when things are happening. The person who is still and silent has great depth and often evokes respect from others, particularly if his or her silence is born of Wisdom.” A quote from a book titled Wisdom from the Greater Community, Volume II. True and show that you mean it and will not let them move you
Wasn't their some tip from Odin's wisdom which said speak no more than necessary and never speak when you would not gain from doing so?
That is the only reason why one should speak, every story you tell needs to be lesson to someone.

I was searching for this video 2 months ago but didn’t find any. Finally Ragnar's charisma 😎
That "I & MY" scene in the bed is exactly how you get women to instantly lose attraction to you even if you've been together for years.
Impregnating another woman is one of the fastest ways to encourage your lady to leave you
@@elarvo7363 yea that's the main reason here. I think his statement has been over analysed.
I gained alot of respect from my foreman I've talked about my ambitious goal of losing weight through intermittent fasting, paying off my debt by work overtime constantly living paycheck to paycheck and working hard
One more thing I've noticed, Mr lothbrok does and says what you least expect him to do or say. He literally does the exact opposite of what you expect
Brother you got some really good advices here. I swear I’ve watched this video few times just to memorize as much as I can.
When you are calm in a space where people are worried they will automatically respect you and consider you the leader
1:00 I like how Ragnar ignores them instead of saying thank you. He is saying, without actually saying it, that it is normal for him and nothing special.
This was a really good one. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to see more videos involving period pieces. Perhaps a character from Downton Abbey or Boardwalk Empire!
that " I WIN" in paris gives me goosebump everytime,, look how his voice changes there
I'd like to point out how leaving a shield wall will break the entire wall and cause harm to everyone in it.. nvm keep talking charlie love you k bye xx
😶for real? Even if it's a large wall
BKhunga It takes time and effort to repair the hole caused by someone leaving the shield wall, plenty of time for the opposing force to strike.
In shield wall, ragnar tended to stay in the back of the shield wall anyway, so it's not really cause harm especially when he's needed more at the front of the shield wall. He usually did this when the wall start to break or a new formation is needed
Part of what they trained for was replacing people who died. They were plenty adept at replacing people in the wall.
@@x099534 Dying on the spot is not the same as simply leaving the formation ;)
There is reason riot cops NEVER EVER do that and old Romans punished such behavior with capital punishment.
These 2 guys are killing it with these videos. Both so good
You can decode IVAR THE BONELESS . HE'S ALSO A MAN FROM WHICH WE CAN LEARN.
Ohhh yesss.
Aye aye!!
Dude I love your timing,I just started watching Vikings!!
i was waiting for when youd make a video about ragnar!!! TOP 2 after TOMMY SHELBY
ragnar is literally immortal, even 1100 years after his death his stories are still told in the form of a series
Helps that the actor was amazing
I have always wanted to lead a Viking army and now i have the tools. thank you ✌🏼
Great video ... I struggle with prolonged eye contact for whatever reason but I will work on that now knowing that’s viewed as weak
Ya when I lived in a rough area and some stranger gives me a dirty look or starts something with me I make sure to look them in the eye until they look away first
command respect read this
1) be self dependent financially emotionally and every other aspect
2) always try to be a provider in as many aspect as possible
Hey man, love your channel are really like all your videos. If I may suggest, I would like you to examine Christain Bale's Batman and his personality as both Batman and Bruce Wayne.
When fear is used as a tactic against you, it is usually the ones wielding this tactic against you who are afraid. To act as one in the face of fear in denying the enemy the reaction of base emotion is terrifying to the enemy and emboldens your allies.
10:07 Engineer without a bachelor's degree seems interesting. I wonder which world he is living in.
especially one living in the Netherlands.
Living in America and not in rough circumstance, where most people try to be courteous. Makes practice of being like Ragnar pretty hard.
“Ragnar has compassion”
* shows a scene where Ragnar strangles an old man to death *
Thanks for covering Ragnar. Such a great character. Lot to learn.
“When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everyone will respect you.”

BIG respect for you about the spoiler alert through s04. I just begin watch it till s02. Keep up the good work.
I’m just curious, Charisma university is $99.50 a month for 6 months, that adds up to approximately $600. I have seen many links and ads saying “pay here and change your life” How is one certain this is a real deal
Such a good question!
love how it goes from some friendly advice on how to be respected to a sales pitch not cool man not cool
"Cut my bonds and give me the sword."
"Would you deny me the right to enter Valhalla?"
Travis Fimmel should get an Oscar for this amazing good acting as Ragnar.
With a name like Ragnar, he's already got skills.
Respect is earned and not demanded
I would love to see you do a charisma breakdown on Marilyn Monroe.
Ragnar also had something else going for him, he was played by an exceptional actor.
The fact that you aren't where you want to be, should be enough motivation.
It should but it's far from being enough to many of us
What if I don't want to be anywhere?
Ragnar is not fearless, but rather shows no fear in the face of danger. He controls his emotions and harnesses his fears which intimidates and defuses.
“Most of what you think of as your need to express yourself is to merely offset your insecurity. Here you realize that everything you say has value or should have value. Even when you are being light hearted, you want it to be a meaningful experience without trying to create the meaning. Here you become more natural. You become more like the natural world, which is silent and still except when things are happening. The person who is still and silent has great depth and often evokes respect from others, particularly if his or her silence is born of Wisdom.”
