I think he could pull it off. I actually enjoyed his Thor movies, but that said, I don't compare them to Star Wars because they are wildly different. To me, he seems to put passion and true interest into the work he does. I'd give him a shot.
I am really not sure! I loved JoJo Rabbit and Ragnarok also but Love and Thunder was definitely a miss for me. I guess we will see if this really moves forward! If so I do not think it would be earlier than 2027 anyway. Thanks for this video.

Taika is just the breath of fresh air Star Wars needs. His movie will actually be about something instead of just being a series of callbacks to every TV show in the franchise. There's been enough navel-gazing in recent years.
I can agree while disagreeing. A breath of fresh air sounds good, but an overly comedic marvel style Star Wars movie would be disastrous. If he kept more of the JoJo rabbit style with less eccentricity it could work but…it’s a big but.
If the script is good and the studio keep a eye on him, so he doesn't go too far off track, he'll be fine. But if the script sucks and the story lame, it won't matter who they get to direct it.
I think he would be able to direct a Star wars movie. But not writing and directing. I think that's where he would start getting into his style of comedy and humor. If Jon and Dave wrote the story and Tikka directed probably would be better than anything JJ KK and Ruin Johnson have ever done

Taika is a good director when he isnt sniffing his own farts. His first films like Boy, What we do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople are all good. IF the script is good, then he might do a reasonable job. But his ego is a bit too much these days and he isnt fan friendly. So he might be a Kiwi, but I do not support him doing Star Wars. I think he will fuck it up and I dont swear very often.
If he directs anything that's got ton of Ewokes I'm ok....otherwise....I'm tired about the drama one second scene cut by a 5 years old fart joke completely erasing the drama that had been built for which he is now getting recognize. That said I like the episode 8 and IG11 so...he can that we know. I just don't want any more mama jokes in star wars. Also very like Thor Ragnarok. But too much of a good thing is not a good thing is what I'm saying.(about the humor use)

Depends. FtloG I hope the industry learns their lesson that one person should not be given free reign on a movie. Genius still needs collaboratives that challenge and inspire each other. This brings out the best of each individual's talents.
