Thank you for the feedback. I left the engine sound in several clips. There was a lot of wind noise and dog barking going on so I felt the music would help. Something special about adding music to video in my opinion. Thanks again.
Thank you! It was much easier than enlarging the door. Just kidding.. The first time I had to do that I actually used a floor jack and then had a little "collapse" as soon as I hit the driveway threshold. Those dollies are much safer. Thank you for watching!! Checkout the other videos.
On my channel there is an entire build series for both of my cabovers. Original flatheads, Dakota / Durango chassis. After you watch those other videos let me know if you have any other questions
Thank you so much for the genuine comment! I’m getting ready to upload another video showing the 39 and the 42 together for the first time ever. Please subscribe!
The oldest vehicle ive ever driven was a city owned 1965 IH flat bed truck - that was originally built as a high wall trash hauler with a 10ft long x 7ft wide bed- it was converted to a long wheel base step side pick up truck with the outside rims and tires removed- it was powered by a IH 345 hp V8 without turbo gasoline engine - tune ups were " fun " it had a duel point distributor and 4 barrel carb. and tuned headers and glass pk mufflers- the cops loved us lol - at least once a week i got pulled over for loud mufflers and illegal city stickers on the doors- but it was a legal city truck lmao
I'm sure if they made something similar today they would sell well , no need to change year in year out , so in twenty years it would still look the same and development costs kept to a minimum .
Rather hear the engine than that "music".

What a beauty 😍
@@mikewinkelman7015 thank you!
@@ChadDrake4185 nice ride how much 😀👍
@@fredburnsiv1230 Ha! haven’t considered parting with it yet.
Very nice 39..love those old vintage trucks...
Thank you!
Needs a vintage looking headache rack on the back
I agree. I’m gathering barn wood now to build some side rails and a headache rack.
Good job for sure =)
Thank you!
that is one sweet ride! nice job bringing it back to life!
Thank you very much

Nice seeing old bits of kit being given a second chance and bought back to life. Love the 'patina' on the cab. 🙂
Thank you! I love the patina as well. Checkout the patina on my 42 cab in the other videos. I built them both in my little 2 car garage.
This is sweet, love to see an old beauty get to drive again
Awesome mate 🤘
Nice truck,a great blend of old and new technology,my dad used to tell me about when he drove similar Ford COE trucks for my great grandpa before WWII
Thank you for preserving some of the greatness of the American automotive industry. Plus, it's just dang cool!
Thank you for the comment. That inspires me even more!! Thanks again!! Chad…
Rolling jewel ✨
Well done, looks great.
Thank you!
Love. Them. Trucks. Need. A. 454
That is super cool. I love ford cabovers
Very creative way to gain clearance to exit the garage!

Great way to move it.
Thank you. Too heavy to push!
@@ChadDrake4185 You're welcome bud. She's a nice piece of machinery. I bet she'd pull apart a house.
Very cool!!

What chassis?
The 39 is on an 02 Durango chassis.
Gm 22 inch wheels?
Yes
Nice looking truck. Seems well put together without all the gawdy, rat rod, fake patina crap. I will have to check out your build story.
Thank you, and you’re right…. There is no fake patina on either of my trucks. Check out the other videos. More to come!
Why no details, What motor(flat-head ?), What chassis mods, etc ?
On my channel there is an entire build series for both of my cabovers. Original flatheads, Dakota / Durango chassis.

@@ChadDrake4185 Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.
I live and breathe GM but that thing is so freaking gorgeous and probably one of a very small handful still in existence even I'd love to own it 👍

Nice! What finish did you use on the body work?
I use a thin coat of 1/2 mineral spirits and 1/2 linseed oil mixed.

That’s great stuff. Thank you for sharing that memory!
I'd like to take something like that and turn it into a flatbed tow.😄
Same here. I'd love to have a rollback with a winch.
It needs a 429 Cobra jet with the works under the cab
Gotta lower it in the front it looked too good
I'm a "stock height" type of guy
Your neighbors are not going to like it sitting outside...You should sell it to me😎
They especially didn’t like me building them outside!!
I'm sure if they made something similar today they would sell well , no need to change year in year out , so in twenty years it would still look the same and development costs kept to a minimum .
I like the idea!
@@evognayr What was the reason , passenger safety I presume .
Too bad we didn't get to hear the engine run! (too much feed back from the music)
Sorry wrong channel. I thought someone actually restored one.
Nope… not on my channel. I’m not bolting on foreign parts and I’m not making these trucks shiny. Took them 80 years to look like this.
Please do not paint the cab body. It looks great as is. It is like a living fossil from America's past history.
I absolutely agree! Neither will be painted. Ever. Checkout my other videos and let me know how you like the 42 cab. Thank you!
Hola desde República Dominicana sumamente hermosa ese camión antiguo Me encantan su forma su Estilo se ve genial
Gracias! Me encanta su forma también!
It would be nicer without the crap music
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take that into consideration. Did you try watching it muted?
@@ChadDrake4185 no as I thought there might be some commentary
