Today we took off on a short overnight camping trip to Cherokee national forest in the Ranger. We started our trip in the Dahlonega area in Georgia and adventured out from there.
Overlanding Cherokee National Forest was a blast and minus the mud pit we put ourselves in, Cherokee is a great place to get into overlanding or camping in general.
The Ranger with the new Eibach front and rear suspension made for a much improved ride over the stock suspension that I had on the truck the first time we went to Cherokee.

Got a dually that I've been taking offroad with my brother that has a k1500 single cab. I'm trying to put together an old ranger so I don't have to take the big truck. Lets go driving sometime. So far we've done a lot of forest service roads in Tellico and all the way over to cades cove, also Witt rd. the other day. Might try hurricane creek this weekend.
throw away that chain and get a good tow strap. Check out Matt's recovery rope
He likes those kinetic straps. Those are pretty hardcore and I don’t know if they’d work it tight spots. But they’re pretty rad and functional.

I would recommend rough country as the best “budget” lights. I have them on my old Tacoma and they are awesome. Thanks for watching man !
I may get some. I just got a rough country 2.5 level. I heard you mention that. I remember you transitioned to a 3inch lift with eibach suspension. That may be something I do one day. I’m just not sure this ranger is my long term truck. I keep getting this creeping hope to buy a 2021 F-150 fx4. Then do some stuff to that truck. Ill keep watching your adventures.
And don't worry, you get stuck down there and I'll pull ya out, my 4R doesn't know the word "stuck" 🤘🏻

You havent been to real mud then, every 4x4 can get stuck in proper mud

get rid of the chains! get a proper recovery strap or rope. You can also safely air down to 15 psi and wont pop a bead. 25 psi almost doesnt do anything for traction. People get beadlocks to air down from 8 to 5 psi.
my receiver hooks would agree with you on the chains lol. That all I had at the time and was the only way to get out of there lol.
I just got my Fx4. I wonder if the Fx4 shocks would handle that washboard stuff any better than just the regular shocks. I doubt there’s much difference in them other than there’s a “FX” sticker on them.
You have the rear locking diff on your Ranger?
I do but only use it when I really need it lol. I don’t know why but sometimes I forget about it.

Eibach pro truck kit. 3.5 inch lift front with 1 inch block in rear. Yes 33 inch tires.
