I've watched several other rescues Matt has done on this hill and every time my chair got a pucker in the center of it. This was no exception! 😱 I even had my wife watch and she just turned around and left shaking her head after just a couple minutes!
No shame in calling for help Trey, especially with such a beautiful looking dog. You, your dog, and your Jeep got a chance to wheel another day with nothing but a tale of terror to tell!

It cracks me up because most of my driveway looks like that, and some sections you simply can't walk up or down without putting your hands down, and an 80 year old man that could be Ed's brother drives up and down it twice a month in a stock ford f250 bullnose pulling a tandem axle utility trailer with a water tank on it. It's nuts what we get used to!

When it snows, 35s and lockers are about the only thing that makes it up to the property. For everyone saying the customer could have driven the Jeep out of there the truth is that the Jeep was able to be driven. But that doesn't mean the guy should, could, or would have done it. Even for experienced off road drivers, there are situations that aren't safe or advisable without a spotter. It can make a huge difference at times if a tire is going to drop another 2 or 3 inches before hitting ground or another 5 or 6 inches. The customer, his rig, and his dog are all safe to wheel another day, and there is no guarantee any of that would be true if he just went for it.

You had multiple shots of the same position where from one angle it looked like handycap ramp but from the better angle revealed it to be as steep as a flight of stairs. Wow! I'd seen the previous rescue videos of this spot, but had never truly appreciated just how precarious it was until seeing this one! The drone footage totally revealed the actual steepness and danger of this spot. I had a couple of incidents of true "pucker factor" while watching this! The drone footage really made this a unique video! I'll be there next week, but will stay in the more moderate areas of Sand Hollow.

Yea I was thinking that too. Or maybe the drive gear on the starter isn't retracting and bearing has let go. 🤷
*EDIT* ha, just seen the owner has mentioned it. It was a loose rad fan 😅. We weren't even close 😂

I am 80 years old. Matt around 50 is claiming to be an old man. RUBBISH! He is just a little out of shape. That is no disgrace. But he is not permitted to join the Old Man's club yet. Maybe in 20 years I'd cut him some slack. Although that track up-hill to the Radio Tower, IS a LITTLE steep.
Love watching the videos. Keep 'em coming. John Q. Public mistakes driving, is our entertainment!
