My views do not represent the views of any company that I've mentioned in my video. Please do note that if I talk about a UK firm, counterparts in other countries are not always the same.
I love how your communication skills. You are well articulated..
Thanks Zoe!!
I have watched so many CV videos on UA-cam that I wasn’t sure about watching this one. I actually never thought of putting hyperlink to the email. Thank you Kajol!

Such an informative one! Thanks Kajol! You perfectly ran us through all the resumes & showing what works and doesnt work but can you give us like a summary of do’s and don’ts from all the resumes that you reviewed? I mean just as a suggestion, perhaps a final checklist once we prepare the resume you know, I think that could add more value too:) Your videos are So So So helpful! And knowing how busy you’re through ig, girl you really working your ass off! Appreciate your videos coming out EVERY SINGLE week without fail👏🏽 Nothing can beat your consistency🤩 not even the UA-cam algorithm lol💪🏽
I'll do a video on a checklist - can't do everything in one video hehehehe :P
Three coffees later Kajol 😹 mine is very bright and bold. These tips are so helpful. It’s made me reconsider what exactly is so unique about all of my points. Thank you!
You are honestly the bestttt!!! Send it across for me to review for any other roles you go for x

@@KajolPhadnis I am a consultant haha IT Consultant ;)
Great video Kajol!
0:25 If applying in the UK or US yes. For Europe however it is expected to include a photo, etc.
Thanks for clarifying! Very helpful to know :)
Loved this! :)
I think a great video might be talking about how to get into consulting - what grades, extra-curriculars and work experience to do in your university years so your CV has quality content for when you apply. So like the step before writing the CV.
This is one that covers some of it: ua-cam.com/video/FAN9PTnY3R4/v-deo.html that I made :) Hopefully it helps Za!
@@KajolPhadnis Thank you so much, you're the best! :)
Soo interesting, absolutely love the detail you went into!! Thank you soo muchhh Aunty K! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you - I thought I didn't get into much detail HAHAHA but glad it helped 😊
This is from a UK/ USA viewpoint.Timestamps in the description box above. Btw, one of the leading CV writing companies in the UK - Purple CV, just reached out to me - if you're interested to have a look, check it out here: purplecv.co.uk/cv-writing?wpam_id=357
Hi Kajol, great CV review, very helpful but could you please advise what to state on my CV being a stay at home mum, getting back into work. Should I state, Mother, stay at home mum, homemaker or something else? appreciate your feed back
Such a useful video!! Thanks Kajol!
thank youuuu Ranveer 😇
Excellent insights Kajol
Thank you so much for this one!
Wow, some of these comments are surprisingly rude. Thank you for the advice, happy to offer mine for harsh criticism in the next video haha
send it across kajol@igniteconsulting.net
PS thanks :)
Lovely kajol , you’re so cool , My CV passed McKinsey screening but I didn’t pass the test and my fishes died , ugh
practice makes perfect- their tests are notoriously difficult!
I just want to add that every country has different norms when it comes to the question, how a CV should look like. In Germany it is very common to apply with a photo and some personal data. Furthermore, it is not helpful to put to much information in one page. Use more space that will make it more convenient for the recruiter to read. otherwise recruiters wwould be overwhelmed by to much information. So I think being on point is better thant writing too much. You just cannot deny the visual effects, because that is also one aspect, which helps you to stand out......Btw I am really impressed by all these CVs!!! All of the are really smart people. Lots of achievements and experiences in just a very young age.amazing. Compared to them I feel really dump.
Yep, this is the UK and USA view :) We definitely prefer 1 page here. The CV's were amazing right!! Noooo, don't compare yourself. You're AMAZING in your own way!
what's your opinion on the below queries:
1. Should the experience details on CV be exact copy on LinkedIn profile or some changes are fine?
2. Do we really need to mention the experience details on LinkedIn? As in, just the roles and company you worked?
1. Some changes are fine. You don't need to add all your experiences on your CV or LinkedIn for instance but in no instance should they be contradicting each other
2. I think of LinkedIn add role and company but for the latest ones, a couple of lines of what your responsibility won't hurt you.
Hope this helps :) 😀
Good questions.
So useful, thank you.
I think passport photos on a CV are cringey
+ to the lamp that didn't fall :)
Mad eye 👁
Hi Kajol, could you make a video about how people who work in management consulting should write on their external resume for other firms. Since we can't disclose client information, or any details that is against privacy. thank you
Extremely informative video Kajol. Many thanks for this.
Could you please discuss in any of your future videos, how to write impact if there aren't particular statistics involved in it. For example: helped client in making a binary decision or like built and delivered a model that has been deployed and is currently being used in the client organization but there isn't any performance metric associated to it ?
Secondly, are high school grades required if one has higher degrees ?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Surely if you have your LinkedIn on your CV then people will know what you look like? Hence the same effect as having a picture on your CV?
Abrupt ending....not consultant like...
Like the new glasses though😍
Hahhaa how do you want me to end
Finally 😅
Let me know if you found it useful or want me to deep dive into certain aspects? I can do a second video on CVs :)
I'm in a rough spot with making a LinkedIn because my titles haven't reflected my duties. For instance I was a specialist but I was the team analyst -and so on. Also, my experience covers multiple fields of expertise even though I'm pretty young. My question is should I make 2 (I know it's against the rules) but I find that being an accomplished investigator across safety, corporate crime, insurance etc unrelated to product development or my IMDB page. How do I overcome this
How a fresher resume can prepare in effective manner
didn't this vide just go through that?
Hi Kajol, this video was really useful. But what about someone who doesn't have much experience related to consulting? What would you recommend doing in this case?
You'll find experiences which have transferrable skills e.g. working in McDonalds - teamwork and communication skills, pull out those transferrable skills :)
@@KajolPhadnis Thanks for replying. Will you be willing to have a quick look at my CV? If so, where can I email you this?
Hey kajol, what about phds resume? Can I make it to 2 pages? And sould I add all my working experience? Even part jobs? Like teaching English?
Kajol can i add my father retails business experience in my cv as i am a fresher but i used to manage the business but i can only show trading certificate of my father business please reply
I don't have good grades in college and high school, is it important to add grades in cv or can i omit them?
Can we submit a resume for review?
