I'm currently preparing my resume and interview questions and stuff to break into consulting from marketing so that later I can move onto environment and energy based projects. Thanks for all these videos, gives me a sneak peek into the industry. That face from 2:19 to 2:20 of the sudden realisation that you're an alcoholic has meme potential. Also, this video reaffirms my beliefs that I should give consulting a try since I already am a high functioning alcoholic.
One of your most useful videos (for me). Really appreciate the honest insight Kajol. I didn’t expect the drinking culture. The thought of having 8 hash browns for breakfast is so ratchet but I’m now craving it 🤣
Amazing video and channel. Is it possible for you to talk about maybe alternative careers where u learn as many core skills as a consultant? Or what you would have done instead of consulting knowing all you know about industries in general now.
Hi Kajol, thanks for videos, really helpful for me to understand more about the Consulting lifestyle. Before Covid, on average how many days per week did you go to the client site/office? I heard from a friend that he goes in 4 days a week and on the 5th day he works at his company office, but not sure how common that experience is.
@@KajolPhadnis , thanks. On those 4 days, were you mostly at the client site or your company office? Understand this varies across projects, but what has been your experience on most of your projects? And for an average week, what's the typical number of hours you're expected to work for? (Projects and side of desk training/company related activities)
Hi Kajol. I've had my 2nd interview for one of the big4s and feedback I received said they think Iam more senior than the position I applied for and Im in for 3rd round . This would assess my MANAGEMENT EFFECTIVENESS and LEADERSHIP EFFECTIVENESS. What kinda behavioral questions should I expect for these areas . Thanks
Do they make you study for any professional exams as management consultant ? If you have a preference for an industry can you specify on application form or ask a few years down the line if you get in ?
Drinking culture... Is maybe the British pub culture another key driver behind it? Agree with you on most points, I just still think we are super(wo)men!! 😃👍
6 months in and I still literally didn’t know half of this 😅 such an insightful video as always, thanks Kajol!
Thank you soo much Claire ❤❤❤
being given every green light possible to not move... i feel ya 😭 these were so helpful Kajol especially from someone at your stage!
Thanks Devs 💙

That experience is super common - I used to go into the office or client site 4 days a week and one day work from home :)

Regarding your no 1 (socials): How does Covid affect this point?
How's the work life balance for a consultant?
Oddly relaxing to watch after working 13 hours straight
Drinking culture... Is maybe the British pub culture another key driver behind it? Agree with you on most points, I just still think we are super(wo)men!! 😃👍
