Just wanted to let you know that I just beat Messmer with parry only (plus single punish slashes on parries with no riposte)! Your guide is awesome, my guy! Thank you!
Exactly what i was looking for. I've beaten him allready, sadly and i only was able to reliably parry one move and another one sparsly. So it's mostly follow up and secondary attacks that can be parried. Neat
@@afik13 i recommend investing all your talismans and armor for Defence and Health. It did take a long time for me to parry him. Try to roll though all of his attacks, but only parry the stabs after the 2 fire scatter attacks. They are the easiest. After you got the timing of those, the rest will come easier.
@@bananacorn4375 Damn I can't believe I managed to parry him! Still not perfect but I improved a lot due to your guide and a lot of practice! thanks again! ua-cam.com/video/KLf-oJXqmd0/v-deo.html
What I do for this is give a slash after each of the first two parries, as slashes when no ripostes are possible are very disrespectful to the bosses 😂 1) Parry - Yell "DISRESPECT" + Slash 2) PARRY - Yell "DISRESPECT" + Slash 3) PARRY - RIPOSTE while yelling "GIMMIE!" Repeat until dead. Still is parry only in my eyes.
In this boss, parrying is a bit weird as he always moves around and it’s hard to detect when to parry during the combos. But the attack you will parry the most is the follow-up to the fire scatter, so think of it as a bonus. For bosses like Crucible Knight, Romania, or Commander Niall, you only need 1 parry so it’s very rewarding. For Margit(not Morgott) you can stunlock him with parties, as he will always follow-up being parried with another parryable attack. I also really like Midra because parrying him feels very natural and aggressive. Even though he also needs 3 parries, you can be always be aggressive on him and not wait for specific attacks to parry. You can constantly spam r1 and when he tries to attack, you just say „it’s not your turn yet“, parry him and continue attacking.
True. I think bosses like Malenia & Messmer should have 2 parries like Margit/Margott. They have a lot of parry chances since they slashes a lot. It feels less rewarding when you need to invest so much in order to get a stance break.

There is no way this has to be modified
I do modify stuff sometimes to make it a bit more fun, but this is all legitimate.
the timing in this game is poop
@@EBDeveloper only in the dlc honestly. The Base game was well designed.
Parrying sucks ass Tbh like it's just not worth it at all it's lame that you need three parries before you can get a crit.
Guess someone here cant Parry? 😅
