The fact Malenia is winning at all is genuinely just because of the 2nd healthbar and the rot. And the reason she doesn't absolutely body almost every other boss in the DLC is because she isn't scaled for Scadutree Blessing. Her Damage is made for normal resistances, not all resistances +50 just from blessing alone, and her healthbar is made for normal damage, not for almost 30% extra AR just from blessing. I'm pretty sure with adjusted stats, she'd pretty much finish everyone except ig radahn in without entering 2nd phase lol

I would love to know if the fights would went differently if the enemies wouldn't just let them get nuked and instead would avoid the scarlet aeonia. I understand that the scarlet rot is part of her arsenal, but it's clear the bosses aren't programmed to dodge something like that and thus would love to the the fights unfold without the aeonia.
She would have been defeated most of the time then. That second phase transition during the Midra fight was was pure, gorgeous spectacle. Midra really went ' I'm going to kill you with this stat build up causing, big damage AOE' and Malenia just went 'That's crazy, me too!'

@@Tohsakaust except she has two separate health bars and a passive lifesteal mechanic and both of these combined triple or quadruple her healthpool and the rot damage over time triples her damage at the very least. These fights were unfair, yes, but not on her side, and this video proves just that. Even with lower scaling she won every single encounter but one.

All the DLC BOSSES ARE EXTREMELY BUFFED WITH HP AND DAMAGE. On a whole DIFFERENT level. They still got CLAPPED against MALENIA. A lot of them couldn’t even take MALENIA to her 2nd phase. Not really surprised because MALENIA is literally End Game. Even after the DLC
She also has a lot of things most bosses don't. She heals on each hit, has a buffed up version of scarlet rot, goes back up to full health with her second phase, and her second phase starts off with a scarlet rot nuke which the AI of other bosses just run into. I honestly had more trouble with 2 or 3 of the DLC bosses than I ever did with Malenia, but that's because I could do simple things like dodge, which negates 2 of her advantages, which means almost every boss in the game would beat her if they had the type of AI that let them effectively dodge since she has low poise and isn't that tanky for a late game boss.
Lore wise, outside of Messmer, Radahn and Bayle she clears. Midra is a maybe. Also why the hell is her rot doing that much damage??? Thats not how much its suppose to tick for
Because its percentage based damage, notice how on every single boss even the enemy it ticks the same amount of your visual health bar it doesnt matter if you have 1000000hp you will loose around 3 or 4% of your max hp
Lore wise, you're right about base malenia but I think goddess of rot at least beats messmer and an injured bayle, with prime bayle being arguable and consort radahn being stronger because miquella is a god of the greater will ( from my understanding) which has more influence than the outer god of rot

The only reason Scarlet Rot carried her here is cause every boss in the DLC is scaled way higher than her. It was essentially the only thing that could damage them.
This was never going to work, the DLC bosses are all built around needing Scadutree shards so her basic attacks do no damage, and Malenias Scarlet rot deals 5% max HP per tick so anything that can be inflicted with it will just die
I find it funny in funny in fact that even in the actual canon, Scarlet Rot wasn't strong enough to kill Radahn. Malenia fought him in Caelid with killing intent to send him to the land of shadow and she failed to even when utilizing the rot, her most powerful weapon. Then a second person, Finlay, had to save her when she was unconscious. When you set out to accomplish a goal, fail, and then have to be carried to safety

Alright so basically the scarlet rot just carried cause after it procs any boss just dies no matter what in about 15 seconds or less so that why only romina won cause she has rot immunity if you take away the rot or nerf it down a bit she got wrecked by every boss also radahn won cause he killed her first so that’s a win in my book
The only reason Malenia wins in the end is because of her rot and the fact that other bosses aren’t programmed to dodge the opening attack for her second phase. These battles are pointless due to these two facts.
Nope, this is base Malenia. She's actually just that broken. She stole around 40k health in some of these fights, meaning she'd have about 73k health, which is the same as NG+7 Consort Radahn. She's got infinite poise on 80% of her attacks, so the only time she can get stance broken is when she's neutral. And she's got a guaranteed Scarlet Rot proc that for some fucking reason deals massive percentage damage, meaning literally nothing without rot immunity can win. I said this prior to the DLC coming out; Malenia will never be beat. People anticipated that the DLC bosses could do it, but I already said they can't because she doesn't play by the rules. Normally bosses that deal percentage damage can't inflict it with abandon (Maliketh), and none of them have lifesteal or moves that give them infinite poise. She has all of that. She's by far the most braindead boss they ever made. That's why I no hit her daily as a summon for randoms like a budget Let Me Solo Her. Nothing is more satisfying than denying this dogshit piece of trash boss the opportunity to even land a single hit on you with her horseshit mechanics.

In the cut content for the game, Malenia and Miquella were originally supposed to be like this. Malenia would be surprised to fight you and after defeating her first phase, Miquella would speak a prayer which triggers the second phase. Idk if she would’ve been a mere rot goddess, or a goddess with Miquella’s unalloyed light beams, but apparently the Euporia twinblade was originally a cut content weapon called “Blade of Abundance and Decay”. Cool that we actually got it in the dlc though. 🌝
honestly the reason these happen like they do is mostly because of how inflated the DLC bosses' healthbars and damage are. It's really obvious that Malenia really is just winning because of rot, but like. How else? If the Tarnished fought her with Scadutree blessing 5 or more, she'd go down in seconds, because of just how big the buff is
The problem with her scarlet rot in these boss vs boss fights are, her rot is her specialty in her phase 2 and it drains hp so much faster. So, her specialty is something her opponent boss is bound to get inflicted with due to no dodge mechanic while specialty of enemy bosses like Godfrey's grab attack is not something they can use on her. Combine this with her heal on attack, and you get results like these. The enemy bosses just have to get her rot status effect everytime. Romina was the only one immune to it. 😂
I would like to read a spin off comic of Malenia travelling to the shadow land to rescue Miquella. She is outmatched by most in the shadow land so she has to bloom in every fight to get an edge, each time ridding her of humanity as she got closer to godhood. Until she realises what her brother is up to, she snaps and lets the rot god consume her completely to bring his brother back to his senses.
And the bosses are only winning because the scadu fragments allow for crazy scaling. If they were all equalized in levels, I don’t think any of them would be close.

I'd wager she'd still lose in phase 1 due to her passive nature and pisslow poise, but it might be a more interesting watch than "Malenia gets bodied by bosses with 2x her hp and 3x her damage, then she goes into phase 2 and if the boss she's fighting can get rot she wins automatically" simulator

I saw a similar video not with Melania attacking but bosses were scaled to ng +7, it's pretty impressive that she can beat so many dlc bosses.
That second phase transition during the Midra fight was was pure, gorgeous spectacle. Midra really went ' I'm going to kill you with this stat build up causing, big damage AOE' and Malenia just went 'That's crazy, me too!'

@@Tohsakaust except she has two separate health bars and a passive lifesteal mechanic and both of these combined triple or quadruple her healthpool and the rot damage over time triples her damage at the very least. These fights were unfair, yes, but not on her side, and this video proves just that. Even with lower scaling she won every single encounter but one.

All the DLC BOSSES ARE EXTREMELY BUFFED WITH HP AND DAMAGE. On a whole DIFFERENT level. They still got CLAPPED against MALENIA. A lot of them couldn’t even take MALENIA to her 2nd phase. Not really surprised because MALENIA is literally End Game. Even after the DLC
She also has a lot of things most bosses don't. She heals on each hit, has a buffed up version of scarlet rot, goes back up to full health with her second phase, and her second phase starts off with a scarlet rot nuke which the AI of other bosses just run into.
I honestly had more trouble with 2 or 3 of the DLC bosses than I ever did with Malenia, but that's because I could do simple things like dodge, which negates 2 of her advantages, which means almost every boss in the game would beat her if they had the type of AI that let them effectively dodge since she has low poise and isn't that tanky for a late game boss.

Because its percentage based damage, notice how on every single boss even the enemy it ticks the same amount of your visual health bar it doesnt matter if you have 1000000hp you will loose around 3 or 4% of your max hp

Lore wise, you're right about base malenia but I think goddess of rot at least beats messmer and an injured bayle, with prime bayle being arguable and consort radahn being stronger because miquella is a god of the greater will ( from my understanding) which has more influence than the outer god of rot

The only reason Scarlet Rot carried her here is cause every boss in the DLC is scaled way higher than her. It was essentially the only thing that could damage them.
And that's why scatter tree fragments are so important, even Melania gets cooked when she doesn't have them

This was never going to work, the DLC bosses are all built around needing Scadutree shards so her basic attacks do no damage, and Malenias Scarlet rot deals 5% max HP per tick so anything that can be inflicted with it will just die

I find it funny in funny in fact that even in the actual canon, Scarlet Rot wasn't strong enough to kill Radahn.
Malenia fought him in Caelid with killing intent to send him to the land of shadow and she failed to even when utilizing the rot, her most powerful weapon.
Then a second person, Finlay, had to save her when she was unconscious.
When you set out to accomplish a goal, fail, and then have to be carried to safety

I went into the DLC as Malenia on NG+2 and I have to say, it was a bittersweet encounter with a heart full of revenge and sorrow.

The only reason Malenia wins in the end is because of her rot and the fact that other bosses aren’t programmed to dodge the opening attack for her second phase. These battles are pointless due to these two facts.

It was normal scaling, but the Scarlet Aeonia carried because of the hyper rot proc and the defenses.
Nope, this is base Malenia. She's actually just that broken. She stole around 40k health in some of these fights, meaning she'd have about 73k health, which is the same as NG+7 Consort Radahn. She's got infinite poise on 80% of her attacks, so the only time she can get stance broken is when she's neutral. And she's got a guaranteed Scarlet Rot proc that for some fucking reason deals massive percentage damage, meaning literally nothing without rot immunity can win.
I said this prior to the DLC coming out; Malenia will never be beat. People anticipated that the DLC bosses could do it, but I already said they can't because she doesn't play by the rules. Normally bosses that deal percentage damage can't inflict it with abandon (Maliketh), and none of them have lifesteal or moves that give them infinite poise. She has all of that. She's by far the most braindead boss they ever made. That's why I no hit her daily as a summon for randoms like a budget Let Me Solo Her. Nothing is more satisfying than denying this dogshit piece of trash boss the opportunity to even land a single hit on you with her horseshit mechanics.

In the cut content for the game, Malenia and Miquella were originally supposed to be like this. Malenia would be surprised to fight you and after defeating her first phase, Miquella would speak a prayer which triggers the second phase. Idk if she would’ve been a mere rot goddess, or a goddess with Miquella’s unalloyed light beams, but apparently the Euporia twinblade was originally a cut content weapon called “Blade of Abundance and Decay”. Cool that we actually got it in the dlc though. 🌝

honestly the reason these happen like they do is mostly because of how inflated the DLC bosses' healthbars and damage are. It's really obvious that Malenia really is just winning because of rot, but like. How else? If the Tarnished fought her with Scadutree blessing 5 or more, she'd go down in seconds, because of just how big the buff is

The problem with her scarlet rot in these boss vs boss fights are, her rot is her specialty in her phase 2 and it drains hp so much faster. So, her specialty is something her opponent boss is bound to get inflicted with due to no dodge mechanic while specialty of enemy bosses like Godfrey's grab attack is not something they can use on her. Combine this with her heal on attack, and you get results like these.
The enemy bosses just have to get her rot status effect everytime.
Romina was the only one immune to it. 😂
I would like to read a spin off comic of Malenia travelling to the shadow land to rescue Miquella.
She is outmatched by most in the shadow land so she has to bloom in every fight to get an edge, each time ridding her of humanity as she got closer to godhood. Until she realises what her brother is up to, she snaps and lets the rot god consume her completely to bring his brother back to his senses.
And the bosses are only winning because the scadu fragments allow for crazy scaling. If they were all equalized in levels, I don’t think any of them would be close.
