Midna's Lament still gives me absolute chills to this day. The fact that it's a back-and-forth between Midna's theme and Link's own motif sticks with me so much. Like fuck. Music has always played a significant role in the series, but this track especially is like a conversation, and it's so damn beautiful.

I will forever be outraged that Kass wasn't in TOTK. Always loved hearing his song softly playing out in the wilds and going to find him! Wonderful video!
In Tears of the Kingdom, the ominously escalating music and chants that play as you descend closer and closer to Ganondorf is insane, and his full battle theme as well. There is a part during the second phase that plays a short, adrenaline pumping choir underlined with fast strings that was also used in the main trailer; if you know, you know. That was one of the greatest things I've ever heard.
I was so happy to discover that THAT part, which I also loved (played on the second-to-last trailer if I'm not mistaken), was hidden here, right at the final boss. The whole music medley when fighting Ganondorf is mind-blowing, to be honest, re-adapting what was my favorite Ganondorf battle theme (the one from OoT) to then going to that whole emotional suite, and capping off the last phase with a remix of Calamity Ganon's theme was just pure soundtrack bliss.
The sound design on the way to Ganon was pure magic! Also when you hop down and find Zelda's torch from the very beginning was like woah... they really paid close attention to detail. The music in that game never ceases to get me excited. The final battle is probably the most epic, most exciting and hardest Ganon has ever been
Zelda is probably the only series where I can hear snippets of the music and feel that tingle in the back of my throat like I’m going to cry. So iconic and beautiful.
God the Farewell theme... "Not a day of my life has gone by without my thought turning to my kingdom of old. I have lived bound to Hyrule. In that sense, I was the same as Ganondorf"

For Twilight Princess, I particularly like how Midna's Lament also creates a major sense of anxiety for you while you scramble to save Midna's life. The sense of urgency that I felt in the music was very impressive.
I'd say it's a close second. The Clock Town theme never got reused but the Song of Healing did. Plus Song of Healing was used in a lot of tie-in material, like the Majora's Mask 3DS menu skin.
Saria's Song/Lost Woods Theme is THE Zelda Bop. Edit: Great minds think alike :) Edit 2: Thanks for reminding me that I haven't watch Mr. Mr. Acordian's Kass Theme today.
im personally usually a fan of the ambience type stuff from BotW/TotK, but after playing some OoT last year nearly every ocarina song was stuck in my head throughout the rest of the week. Especially song of storms and lost woods.
i agree about the totk music. as someone who has played every single zelda game known to man, the totk music BLEW ME AWAY. i grew up in a very musical family, so i learned many instruments, was in band and choir and hyperfixates on music, totk's soundtrack hits so many spots and it makes me cry in many areas...i think i actually cried for about 20 minutes when we got the final trailer for totk because it moved me so much. it hit home and it encapsulates what the zelda series is; an epic adventure .
I think the third trailer soundtrack of TotK deserves at least some attention. Its an absolute masterpiece and I still get goosebumps from it. Too bad we haven't a version without the soundeffects yet
the TEARS the colgera theme brought to my eyes when it crescendoed. it was so beautiful to hear while fighting colgera. had i known it would throw that masterpiece up i would’ve gone LAST to that one.
Whenever I want to cry, I will listen to the TOTK Last Catch. That theme is just overwhelmingly emotional. It’s difficult to describe better than that. It’s the single greatest moment in Zelda history for me, and before that, it was tied between BOTW, AOC and Majora’s Mask (Defeating Thunderblight Ganon, Link vs the Blights and the finale of MM) but TOTK’s finale blew it all out of the water
@@meee_5155I honestly think that we as viewers are too quick to balk at characters returning from the dead, especially in cases like these where I really don't see much thematic function to Zelda staying lost. In fact, I think it would only further sever TOTK from BOTW by flying in the face of Zelda's arc in that game. She was a character crushed by a duty thrusted upon her, who only truly bloomed when she gained something to fight for beyond destiny. If she became lost after pretty much being forced into an unwinnable scenario that she had no control over, it'd be as if fate itself is dragging her right back into her unhappy ending.
I agree. The music alone made me incredibly emotional. The blending on the main theme to Zelda's Lullaby into The Hero Theme. God, I wanted to burst into tears.
how did you not mention the music that plays when you dive into the depths?!?? i ALWAYS turn up my volume to hear it the quiet yet fast paced crescendo to the deafening brass always gives me chills

Barely started the video, but the comment about Zelda music being good at the beginning made me remember a conversation I had with my Uncle before TotK came out. My Uncle is a professional classical vocalist and one time after I had expressed my excitement for TotK, he mentioned that apparently one time he and a few of his colleagues got hired to perform some Zelda music at a gaming convention (idk which one). He had never heard Zelda music before but figured it was probably not that good because it's video game music or something. He said that when they got the music and performed it though that he was quite surprised at how good it actually was and that he really liked it
zelda music is BETTER than what many people would consider “real music” i rly can’t believe he was all that surprised… musicians should know that soundtracks feature some of the most moving music out there… unless they’re a foagie
@@KevinOsuide-qw5huCouldn't agree more. Devil May Cry, Doom (both the Midi songs and Mick's music) Killer Instinct, Minecraft, Metal Hellsinger, etc, and obviously Zelda have wonderful soundtracks that rival and even surpass most "real" music I've heard.
Sidelight on these comments... I have heard that until "Peter Gunn," the idea of composing a new theme for a mere television show was considered unnecessary, because surely there was enough Serious Classical (which includes Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern, et al) music out there already. Scoring for theatrical films has surely gone through the same phase, early on; like video games, come to think of it, where music for the first systems was so important because there was no speech capability... ok, this is leading into serious new thought... video games have been going through exactly the same thing as cinema, haven't they? Because originally, film scores had to be for the lowest common denominator, piano or organ, and orchestrated if a single performance required, because No Soundtrack. So, like movie music, it will undoubtedly gain its mainstream respectability
Zelda spirit tracks has some of my all time favorite music from the series. Byrne’s different themes/battle music, the fact that the dark link fight music calls back to music in phantom hourglass, the entire tower of spirits, cursed overworld, the songs you play with the sages, the main bosses of the temples, in the fields, cole’s theme and his battle music with maladus. Love them all
Agreed!! Aboda village, Anouki village, Papucha village, Whittleton, Castle theme, there's so many good soundtracks but the overworld theme is just on another level
just recently played through the game after not having a DS for years now and man, i still love it haha. The ST OST is probably my favorite in the series overall
I really can't stand Kass's theme. The Guardians theme is much more representative of the game. I really noticed their absence in TOTK due to the lack of stress that I was feeling.😅
@@magmawarlord9992They're like any tough enemy in a video game - when you first meet them, you are woefully unprepared for what you're up against. Then after the game has progressed, you'll have both the skill and tools needed to fight them. Once you beat one for the first time, you feel that sense of accomplishment, and as you keep going eventually you dominate them and it just feels so cathartic. Your first encounter with an intact Guardian will likely be when you have limited weapon slots and weak swords, minimal unupgraded armor, and no clue how to even go about fighting them. Plus they're fast and can likely kill you in one hit. But then you get a few heart containers, learn how to parry, and bring some Ancient weapons and wreck their legs one by one.
Hyrule Warriors (first one) soundtrack is amazing as well. It pumps you up for battle and totally didn’t expect the rock style songs both new and remixed
I was at a mall with a piano for anyone to play. A girl sat down and started playing the guardian chase theme and almost everybody immediately looked around having guardian related PTSD flashbacks
that just proves how brilliant that theme is for making the player feel like Link: a deep, unsettled feeling that your life is in danger, you don‘t know why or how, but you need to get away. it‘s abrupt and overwhelming, just enough to make the player notice that being spotted is NOT GOOD and it‘s so effective that people don‘t even need to know Zelda or the guardians to be startled by that music
Really like the creativity and energy behind the TOTK Gleeok theme. Recurring triplets and main 3/4 time signature for a 3- headed dragon. Love it. Makes you want to fight that boss. :)
The sad part about Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom's music is that for both games, the best song was in the trailers and was pretty much never used in either game.
NOTHING gives me the same strange feeling of nostalgia and awe as hearing the title theme from Ocarina of Time. The soundtrack evokes feelings in me I did not know about, and I absolutely love it.
I knew that Majora’s Mask was gonna go to the Song of Healing but I REALLY wanted you to pick Final Hours… that song has stuck with me for years and always sends a chill down my spine when I hear it
I don't know if I'd say it's iconic (as in, it doesn't feel like the game is represented by the song), but it IS exceptional. Most of the original music in Majora's Mask is. Maybe the only one I'd say isn't is the best would be the music that plays in the four regions before you defeat the associated boss. It's atmospheric and fits the tone perfectly, but doesn't have the same "can listen to it on loop forever" sound that Zelda music is known for.
You're so right on about Wind Waker. There's a symphonic movement that is a medley of a bunch of WW songs that brings me to tears every time, it's glorious! 🥲
I love the instrumentation of TOTK - the use of different instruments to convey different ideas is incredible. This coupled with leitmotifs make for very layered and interesting compositions.
Many of these songs evoke so much emotion that they bring tears to my eyes. So, thanks for making me be on the verge of tears for over 20 minutes, I guess
Having finished Totk just a week ago, the music of the final skydive almost made me tear up during this video. The Zelda sound team really knows how to spark emotions with music.
7:21 I know everyone is probably saying this already but the title theme in OoT is just an extended version of the tune the flute plays when you use it to fast travel in the original game on the NES
I'm very surprised you didn't give mention to the "Final Hours" song for Majora's Mask! Song of Healing is amazing, but Final Hours is one of the few songs that captures what most would feel if the world was ending: sad, melancholic, and tragic. Despite that it's a beautiful piece of music that every time I listen to it, gives me chills.
@@ShadowWizard224 Yep. That motif is the best part of the theme… and the transition to the og overworld theme in the end credits is just perfection. 👌🏽 A user named Brock Hewitt has a great cover of just Courage here on UA-cam.
I got such a huge nostalgia hit from the Lorule Castle theme. That whole game is one of my absolute favorites from the Zelda series and Lorule Castle was an incredible dungeon.
I'm actually shocked the botw/totk dragon themes weren't even mentioned! The Light Dragon's theme in particular gives me chills down my spine whenever she flies overhead ingame.
Thanks for mentioning the spirit tracks song matches the tempo of the train that was always my favorite part. It really made running around in the train so fun.
I have a weird one. If you let the title screen of Twilight Princess sit for a while an animation starts playing. I get chills whenever I hear the music from that animation.

For me, the only two missing are the horse riding theme from Botw, which caught me completely with its simplicity and how much it fits the mood of the game, and the music of the title screen in Totk (the one that plays when he gives his first big jump in the great Sky Island), that voicing instrument is so amazing, it perfectly depicts the ancient zonai mood of the game
for me spirit tracks has 2 iconic melodies 1. is the main theme and 2. is the melodie that you play at the end of the game , it brings me to tears everytime i hear it. love that you included linebeck. everytime i hear his theme i think of fun times and what is going to go wrong ^^. i love these cartoonie games. it brought fun into my teenage years. deloks theme is awsome af if you play spirit track. love that game into bits.
I played BotW as my first Zelda game and one of my first major videogames back in 2019 and can safely say it's one of my favourite experiences of all time, and finding your channel a while after was such a joy, so thanks for making all those awesome theory videos, and branching out into stuff like this. Love your content!
Yeah, but... Honestly, he's right, Saria's Song is probably the single-most recognizable and most recognizably Zelda song in the entire franchise short of the original overworld theme. And there are just as many, if not _more_ covers of it on YT. Friggin' Smooth McGroove covered it!
Agreed, I have seen Gerudo’s valley played live on violin at the Biennale and hundreds of people knew what it was…immediately followed by Sarias song and they all grabbed their drinks and left…😂
The Tower of Spirits theme, which evolves as the tower is repaired and as you climb it, and the Sacret Duet during Malladus' final phase, are definitely among my top 5 Zelda music. With the Ballad of the Windfish, Wind Waker title theme, and Flute Boy theme. All the others are still bangers!
Tower of spirits ascent is the way you are supposed to listen to that theme lol. Walk up at an even pace. You can’t just walk out the top floor door. It’s illegal.
I feel like you should've mentioned the Mini Boss music from the Wind Waker. The bell toll in the beginning and the high tempo throughout is perfect for getting you pumped up and helps you feel like you can take on anything. That, and the fact that they also add in some trumpets when you manage to land a blow on an enemy, encouraging you to keep it up and wreck them is exhilarating. Whenever I heard that come on, I knew I was in for a good fight. Side note: Dragon Roost Island is definitely the best to come from Wind Waker, but i feel like the Mini Boss Battle theme is a close second
Love this compilation! I haven’t played some of the earliest titles (namely Zelda 1, Zelda 2, and the Oracle games), so I’m looking forward to experiencing the music myself soon!
The Dragon Roost crescendo in TotK’s Colgera fight gives me goosebumps, and made amazing UA-camr Liam Triforce cry. For OoT it’s Kokiri forest for me, or Hyrule Field. Personal favourites are Goron Village and the Castle Courtyard sneaking music
I almost feel baffled that you did not mention Colgera's theme. Not only does it sound absolutely gorgeous, not only does it implement the flute and the accordion to the theme flawlessly but it also implements Dragon Roost Island's theme which makes it for me one of the best themes in the entire series
Full Steam Ahead is almost certainly the "most iconic" song from Spirit Tracks, but the sacred duet is the most powerful and also the one with the most potential to come back later as a series staple theme.
I gotta split a hair there, you mentioned the title theme from OOT, but it is technically not from that game originally! It's the flute sound from the first game.
I think Ganondorf’s actual boss theme should’ve been in the TotK segment. I’d say it’s more iconic than Demon Dragon, as it has leitmotifs from OoT Ganondorf, and BotW Calamity Ganon. I also think you should’ve included the song “Remember this Name”.
Also he mentioned it earlier in the video but he completely skipped over colgera theme during TotK. That song is definitely the second most iconic after the main theme
Incredible job with this! As a Majora's Mask fan, I agree that song of Healing is the gem, but it has some interesting elements which would be cool to mention, like the fact that it is Saria's song backwards. I also think thematically it matches the energy of the game incredibly; there's an element of sadness and even creepiness, but then it's beauty shines through as well. So fitting for a game centralized around death, but also acceptance, and of course healing
I think that for Ocarina, it was the Song of Storms. Then, for Tears, I think it was the Colgera theme, but that may just count as Dragon Roost Island. I want to say that for Majora’s Mask it was Stone Tower Temple, but I know that isn’t true 😅
Ah, the Zelda series never fails me when it comes to the music. Nearly all of them are a delight to listen. To be honest though, Zelda’s Theme from Skyward Sword is particularly moving. So lovely and elegant, much like her. It will always be (for me) something for two lovers who have forgone their friendship for something more special. That and Ganondorf’s Theme during the final duel with him in Twilight Princess is awesome!
"For a game not even 7 years old" It turns 7 years old this year. This would be terrifying for me but i just started playing it a few months ago, so its not too bad for me.
Amazing video! I don't agree about Twilight Princess's most iconic music though. Sure, Midna's theme is very famous, very different from classic Zelda soundtrack, and is beautiful. But if one music theme marks the identity of the game, it is Hyrule Field's. The notes are used and reused all throughout the game : when Link finds the children in Kakariko village, when he beats up the dungeons' bosses, around the fishing pond... up until the end credits! The theme is also used when Link wins a fight in Super Smash Bros Brawl ^^ Ans as for BOTW, the theme that actually spread all accross the world, non-players included, is the guardian theme ^^ With the terrifying piano notes that have been used in tons of memes.
Almost each time he gave examples of the games' great music I said to myself, "how is it not that one?" Then he gives his choice... and I'm like.... "oh yeah"
Cool list! I think it's important to note the musical structure of names in the Zoras for BOTW/TOTK and how they play into their themes. Personally Sidon's theme is a strong candidate for most iconic in BOTW. Also underrated but Age of Calamity perfects the BOTW soundtrack and goes the extra distance. The main theme of that game is so haunting yet beautiful.
Goes to show how friggin amazing A Link To The Past's music is. Filled with classics. And the End Theme is also the best End theme in any Zelda In my opinion. A Link To The Past and Ocarina of Time shows how much of a genius Koji Kondo is.
I would assume garudo valley is the most iconic from oot, and clock town in majoras mask. What you chose for oot makes sense, but the song of healing in majoras mask? I don't think it's as iconic as you may think it is.
There's just simply too many amazing pieces of music in the series to really narrow down a favorite, but Sword Search from Link's Awakening is one of my favorites for sure.
I’m shocked you didn’t pick the Guardians fear-inducing panic music for BotW
My blood pressure when I hear that: 🚀🚀🚀

@@PercyPiggingtonNope. Outside of a passing mention by Penn on Washa's Bluff, there is absolutely no mention of Kass anywhere in the game.
The whole music medley when fighting Ganondorf is mind-blowing, to be honest, re-adapting what was my favorite Ganondorf battle theme (the one from OoT) to then going to that whole emotional suite, and capping off the last phase with a remix of Calamity Ganon's theme was just pure soundtrack bliss.
i dont do if buts and maybes i do absolutes. facts
Omg my heart was pounding as I made my way to ganondorf and that Music just got louder and louder
That’s what I thought he would pick!!! Damn it if I wasn’t slowly inching forward cuz the music had me feeling nervous.
Zora’s domain theme in Oot is eternally underrated. And wind waker’s farewell Hyrule king is a perfect piano tearjerker.
sometimes i listen to Zora's Domain from OoT for hours on end to help me focus, peaceful and magical at the same time
Zora's Domain is actually one of the most popular themes from the game. It got reused multiple times in the series, including in BOTW and TOTK.
God the Farewell theme...
"Not a day of my life has gone by without my thought turning to my kingdom of old. I have lived bound to Hyrule. In that sense, I was the same as Ganondorf"

Weird opinion but I absolutely love Fi and "Fi's farewell" still moves me to tears remembering when I had to say goodbye to a friend that I watched grow from a reluctant guide to my closest friend and realizing as much as link will miss her, Fi has eternity to miss her first friend.

For Twilight Princess, I particularly like how Midna's Lament also creates a major sense of anxiety for you while you scramble to save Midna's life. The sense of urgency that I felt in the music was very impressive.
I think the Clocktown theme in Majora's Mask is more recognizable than the Healing Song. Plus the sense of urgency felt on the third day it has.
I'd say it's a close second. The Clock Town theme never got reused but the Song of Healing did. Plus Song of Healing was used in a lot of tie-in material, like the Majora's Mask 3DS menu skin.
Fully agree, Clocktown IS Majoras Mask. Great video Zeltik, the music of this franchise is second to none
I think that song was chosen because it's also associated with ben drowned
Without a doubt clock town theme
Song of Healing is one of my favorites of the series but Clock Town automatically makes me think Majora's Mask.
Midna's Lament is truly sorrowful and so beautiful at the same time I love it
Saria's Song/Lost Woods Theme is THE Zelda Bop.

Edit 2: Thanks for reminding me that I haven't watch Mr. Mr. Acordian's Kass Theme today.

im personally usually a fan of the ambience type stuff from BotW/TotK, but after playing some OoT last year nearly every ocarina song was stuck in my head throughout the rest of the week. Especially song of storms and lost woods.
Gerudo valley crying in the corner*
i agree about the totk music. as someone who has played every single zelda game known to man, the totk music BLEW ME AWAY. i grew up in a very musical family, so i learned many instruments, was in band and choir and hyperfixates on music, totk's soundtrack hits so many spots and it makes me cry in many areas...i think i actually cried for about 20 minutes when we got the final trailer for totk because it moved me so much. it hit home and it encapsulates what the zelda series is; an epic adventure .
Zeltik could make a video about the coolest trees in each Zelda game and I’d watch it.
I'm actually so stoked for this video idea now, forreal!

I think the third trailer soundtrack of TotK deserves at least some attention. Its an absolute masterpiece and I still get goosebumps from it. Too bad we haven't a version without the soundeffects yet
One day, it took a while for Breath of the Wild to get that
ua-cam.com/video/S1me_BpgFuw/v-deo.htmlsi=K874AxykMljhWY9Z is the best version I could find
I think honorable mentions to BoTW and ToTk would be the music made for each of the games big trailers. They are both unbelievably good.
I was just about to comment this. Especially the Tears of the kingdom one.
I like TOTK's better.
Best soundtracks in Zelda:
1. Tears of the Kingdom
2. Skyward Sword
3. A Link To The Past
Yes - that saxophone!
Yesssss! BotW final trailer's music if I remember correctly was one of the best I've ever heard (and I was sad it wasn't in the game)
the TEARS the colgera theme brought to my eyes when it crescendoed. it was so beautiful to hear while fighting colgera. had i known it would throw that masterpiece up i would’ve gone LAST to that one.
That theme transported me from a legend of zelda game to the climax of a studio ghibli film. Great song
Hear hear!
It was amazing don’t get me wrong but I still think Zelda should have stayed as a dragon. Yes it would be heartbreaking but that’s the point.
Every song in Ocarina of Time is iconic. From Gerudo Valley to The Lost Woods theme
zelda music is a whole legend in itself tbh the songs always go SO hard
how did you not mention the music that plays when you dive into the depths?!?? i ALWAYS turn up my volume to hear it the quiet yet fast paced crescendo to the deafening brass always gives me chills

I like the Epona's Song hiding in plain sight in BotW, and finally emerging in TotK
Video game music AS A WHOLE is better than that so called "real music", those that disagree simply don't get it.

Dragon head island and colgera's theme were my favorite in TOTK. They were certified classics.
Ocarina of Times' Best song, by a long way, is the Forest Temple theme! Haunting, powerful and perfectly suited to the temple itself.
I was at a mall with a piano for anyone to play. A girl sat down and started playing the guardian chase theme and almost everybody immediately looked around having guardian related PTSD flashbacks
that just proves how brilliant that theme is for making the player feel like Link: a deep, unsettled feeling that your life is in danger, you don‘t know why or how, but you need to get away.
it‘s abrupt and overwhelming, just enough to make the player notice that being spotted is NOT GOOD
and it‘s so effective that people don‘t even need to know Zelda or the guardians to be startled by that music
I knew that Majora’s Mask was gonna go to the Song of Healing but I REALLY wanted you to pick Final Hours… that song has stuck with me for years and always sends a chill down my spine when I hear it
Calling the four giants is also a masterpiece and Deku Palace, Stone Tower Theme, Astral Observatory, etc…
Termina Field has always been my favorite from that game, even if it is just kind of a remix of the original overworld/Zelda main theme.
CLOCK TOWN
Romance in the air from Skyward Sword captures everything about Link and Zelda's relationship perfectly❤
Great choices. LttP’s Dark World theme is my personal choice for the game, and TotK’s title theme gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
Dead on
“Pulling the Master Sword” from LttP is more iconic than dark world or lost woods, but Princess Zelda’s theme was the right choice
Nobody ever talks about the game over music from the first game. It’s like a music box lullaby. I love it 😭
The “Courage” theme from Twilight Princess is so good I’m shocked it didn’t become part of the series repertoire
Did you know that “Courage” is just the slowed down version of Hyrule Field Day Theme??? Pretty cool 😎
@@ShadowWizard224 Yep. That motif is the best part of the theme… and the transition to the og overworld theme in the end credits is just perfection. 👌🏽 A user named Brock Hewitt has a great cover of just Courage here on UA-cam.
The one music in the whole Zelda franchise that really warms my heart is Wind Waker's title theme, it's just so beautiful and charming.
I got such a huge nostalgia hit from the Lorule Castle theme. That whole game is one of my absolute favorites from the Zelda series and Lorule Castle was an incredible dungeon.
The Saxophone section of the TOTK trailer music is very iconic. I'd love to see another video like this covering the music of the zelda games
I'm actually shocked the botw/totk dragon themes weren't even mentioned! The Light Dragon's theme in particular gives me chills down my spine whenever she flies overhead ingame.
I thoroughly enjoy blasting the Great Sea theme when I'm cruising down the highway with the windows down in the early summer months. It's a vibe.
Thanks for mentioning the spirit tracks song matches the tempo of the train that was always my favorite part. It really made running around in the train so fun.
Going through music from over the years made me oddly emotional 😭 The music from Zelda is so iconic and ingrained in my brain. What a great video.
Forest temple theme song from OoT will always hold a special place in my heart. It gives me the creeps and I like it
The main theme in Tears is just unreal. I will never forget jumping off the first sky island and hearing that music swell. Amazing.
I also fully expected him to pick Wind Waker's title theme as that game's most iconic song, but Dragon Roost makes sense.
for me spirit tracks has 2 iconic melodies 1. is the main theme and 2. is the melodie that you play at the end of the game , it brings me to tears everytime i hear it. love that you included linebeck. everytime i hear his theme i think of fun times and what is going to go wrong ^^. i love these cartoonie games. it brought fun into my teenage years. deloks theme is awsome af if you play spirit track. love that game into bits.

Love your content!
OoT is Gerudo Valley definetely. The huge number of UA-cam channels that have done a cover of it shows that. Beautiful list. Thanks
Yes, totally agree. Lost Woods IS an amazing song, but I must say, Gerudo Valley just hits DIFFERENT.
mm deserves more love in its songs, oath of order, clock town, stone tower, astral observatory, new wave bossa nova are just bangers
I agree!
The guardian death laser sound is the kind of sound to give me a heart attack if it was the first thing I heard when I woke up.
Whoever teleports to the top floor is a madman
Any time I hear any of ocarina of times music it gets me emotional. Oh how I wish I could go back to the days of being a care free kid 😪😢
Side note:
Dragon Roost Island is definitely the best to come from Wind Waker, but i feel like the Mini Boss Battle theme is a close second
The Monk Maz Koshia theme was my favorite theme from BoTW, also the Molduga theme
The first time I heard Molduga's vulnerable phase, I stopped focusing on the game to enjoy it. It rules.
Molduga theme was robbed
Full Steam Ahead is almost certainly the "most iconic" song from Spirit Tracks, but the sacred duet is the most powerful and also the one with the most potential to come back later as a series staple theme.
Great choices! For BotW I would’ve chosen that Guardian Attack Song though 😅
I gotta split a hair there, you mentioned the title theme from OOT, but it is technically not from that game originally! It's the flute sound from the first game.
I really enjoy this list, but I do think that Gerudo Desert is the theme that sticks in my mind as the most iconic for Ocarina of Time
It’s my favorite Zelda song ever.
@@meee_5155easily
He was avoiding songs that heavily drew upon past games, to focus on the new stuff. That's why he didn't mention those ones again.
@@chaosmkmk bc water temple is definitely completely original yep. (Could’ve done like Yunobo’s theme or Queen Gibdo)
@@meee_5155 He DID mention the Colgera theme, during the part about the Dragon Roost Island theme.
TotK’s ost is so great. Like Colgera’s theme and Last Catch is my favorites out of all of it.
Love the Ballad of the Goddess (esp when Fi sings) in SS but have to go with the Lanayru Sand Sea theme- ethereal and absolutely hypnotic!
I would count age of calamity as a main series and think the theme is awesome especially when Zelda told her speech while it was playing
"For a game not even 7 years old"
It turns 7 years old this year. This would be terrifying for me but i just started playing it a few months ago, so its not too bad for me.
Over a decade after quitting playing piano, Saria’s song is the only song I can still play
Song of Storms and Gerudo Valley are my absolute favorite.
The theme is also used when Link wins a fight in Super Smash Bros Brawl ^^
Ans as for BOTW, the theme that actually spread all accross the world, non-players included, is the guardian theme ^^ With the terrifying piano notes that have been used in tons of memes.
Counterpoint for BOTW: *The horse riding theme (all variants)*
Goes to show how friggin amazing A Link To The Past's music is. Filled with classics. And the End Theme is also the best End theme in any Zelda In my opinion. A Link To The Past and Ocarina of Time shows how much of a genius Koji Kondo is.
I would assume garudo valley is the most iconic from oot, and clock town in majoras mask. What you chose for oot makes sense, but the song of healing in majoras mask? I don't think it's as iconic as you may think it is.
I thought you were going to pick the guardian theme for Breath of the Wild. I think it's actually more recognizable.
I actually cried in totk when zelda's lullaby was mixed into the music in the final cutscene. It was just so perfect
There's just simply too many amazing pieces of music in the series to really narrow down a favorite, but Sword Search from Link's Awakening is one of my favorites for sure.
I can't believe no Link's Crossbow Training
no matter how many times i listen to TOTK's main theme on loop, the crescendo will never fail to make me feel some goosebumps. the music is so good!
