tool live 2022 san francisco culling voices sober fear inoculum
Stellar sound quality
Fired up the vape & listened to this with my room mate, who is new to Tool & has never seen/heard them live. She says she's just discovered a Unicorn 🦄 Thanks so much for the upload. The quality is remarkable & I can't get over how fantastic Maynard sounds. Sober was an emotional surprise. Wonderful way to end my day. Much Love & many thanks.
I’m in recovery and that song hits different
@@sarahsmile2883 - I can see that it would be very challenging for you. Congratulations on your sobriety and for choosing You. I know how difficult it is. Not through personal experience; I have a few friends who have chosen sobriety. I see how hard they work at it, every day. I hope you are proud of yourself. I'm proud of you & I don't even know you. It's A Perfect Circle's Gravity that hits deeper for me, so I can understand you on that level. And that is why I am so grateful that I get to be alive a the same time as Tool & all of Maynard's other projects. They have been the best mirror & therapy I think I have ever had in my life.
Strength, Love and blessings to you Sarah.
I'm ripped man. Pushit hits so good and they sound great as usual. I've seen em 3x and APC twice.
This show has the best sound quality out of any of the newer shows I've heard. Intense, vulnerable, emotional, incredible. These are some the very best musicians of our time. I've loved these guys for so long. They've helped me through a lot in my life. Just such an irreplaceable gift to us all. Thank you for the upload!
was there opening night, what an epic tour this is. so stoked for so many! glad the audio and video clips keep coming.
Hey this is my audio! Glad you all are enjoying it - spiral out!
Thank you for sharing!!
SOOOOOOO much love to you for capturing this. Truly life changing experience for me just to hear this. Thanks TJ
Thanks from one taper to another!
I am digging it. Funny to hear the crowd, was that you trying to get away from those obnoxious guys?
@@VictoriaKempPhotos yup! We had an obnoxious group behind us.
Sober and Pushit….thank you music gods for bestowing this greatness upon us mortals
I'm going to start crying like a child when they play Pushit 😯😭
😮
God bless UA-cam. Great quality sound and makes me hope that Tool come back to NZ soon so I can see them in person. Many thanks to theuploader
Thanks for posting this! Tool is unmatched live, they're beyond incredible what an experience! Friends and I went to this show and had the time of our lives but we also had aching hearts when the show was over. This really helps us stay in the moment thanks again!
Feb. 19 in Boston can’t get here soon enough. Both Tool and I aren’t getting any younger. Appreciate them while we have them! They are a modern Pink Floyd
I get to see them the 20th and Roger waters in August, good year
@@ryanyeager1808 Roger Waters ain't Floyd.
@@bullethead2311 you're just jelly cuz you chose not to go.
Ill be in boston too! 100% agree, lateralus is our generations darkside.
Thank you for uploading this. I was hoping these guys would never stop playing that night. Amazing show.
What a show! Thanks for capturing what was a truly special night for so many of us.
Amazing! Can't wait till May when they play in Belgium! Thanks for uploading
Holy Fuck they sounded amazing. Pushit breakdown is a nightmare from Heaven.
@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head Pushit is my first, The grudge comes second, lateralus 3rd, parabola 4th, 5th the grudge, 6th right in two 7th HWAP, that's it, i think pushit is slept on, 100% that part where he goes "I am somewhere I don't wanna be
Push me somewhere I don't wanna be
Put me somewhere I don't wanna be
Seeing someplace I don't wanna see
Never wanna see that place again"
I love that bit
@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head push it and right in two are my favorites too. You got good taste.
Wow! Thank you so much for uploading this! Tool is always an 'out-of-body' experience for me.
Holy shit, this sound quality is so much better than from the first 2022 show or from 2019 gigs! Thanks much for uploading, keep it coming!!
Those opening guitar swells in Fear Inoculum give me chills every time ive seen them live
Second watching(listening). These guys put on an unbelievable show. It shows they are still at the top of their game after more than 30 years. No other band comes close to this level of commitment to their music and live performance. 5 albums in 30 years = quality over quantity. What a performance.
Thank you! I always get very defensive of them when "fans" complain about not getting an album a year and pretty much start throwing tantrums (I accidentally spelled that tantrump lol, I made a new word) for new albums. They do it when they do it.
I have read about their process, but if you think about it, it has to take time. Danny, Adam and Justin compose the music that is so intricate and then it goes to Maynard for words. I mean how amazing is he that he hears the music and finds just the right lyrics? I am in awe.
I watched the movie Rocketman, about Elton John, and they did a scene where he met Bernie Taupin, and Bernie had piles of lyrics and Elton looks at the words and immediately sees the music write itself in his head. I am in wonder at this.
I wish I actually knew music. I love music, but I know nothing musically. I am learning by watching you tube channels like The Decomposer and other people who teach singing or guitar break down songs and explain things, like the tempo changes and the way to scream without injury and stuff.
No other band comes close? Lol 30 years? AC/DC has been doing it for 50 years and still kill it. Tool is great though but don't say no one comes close.
Killing Joke!
@@G-24x There`s a small difference between those two bands :)
@@ivanklican5529 Yeah Ac/DC is on another level. Tool is a good band though. Nothing against them.
I CANNOT get over how good MJK sounds on the Grudge….
They opened with the Grudge when I saw them in 2016 and I was blown away by how good his voice sounded
Yeah he sounds like he does in the actual recording in the studio
I don't give aficok,I just want to hear some Tool
AND some Green jello
@@ext93 I shot at a man that shot a me
This is like their best tour since 2002
2017
@@ShonnDaylee was good, but hi
01-02 was def my favorite but this tour is amazing
@@CarrionPorkus "good but hi"??? What does that even mean?
Lateralus tour was so unique, a turning point in how Tool viewed themselves onstage, and the importance of their live shows becoming transformative experiences of positivity
Was their on the floor row 18 w/ my Son...Our 5th show and keeps getting better! Like how they change the setlist throughout the tour,. Thanks for the recording, brings me right back...Pushit was whatever is greater than amazing!
Sounds Amazing, love this band and when they are gone there'll never be another like these legends.
thank you to the taper and for sharing here. incredible sound
‘In between sips of white claw he told me that he thought we were selling out’ 😂
I laughed when he said that, heard it live and it took a second.
WHAT?! Maynard actually screamed again on The Grudge, and it was glorious 🔥🔥
No, he actually said, " YEEEAAAAHHH" lol
@@7empest262 Lol maybe I’m easily excited given that I’ve seen him live and he’s avoided it all together. He could be screaming “HAAAAA” and I would still like it
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Pastor Murray is an Anointed Servant of GOD who teaches the Word of GOD with Authority!!!!!!!
@TBass050 Yeah, I love it too!! A lot of people complain how he doesn't scream anymore. It's not that he CAN'T, its just that there is no point in screaming when you have no reason to be angry, right? I LOVE the Fear Inoculum album for that very reason. Every song is about Maynard's personal balance of emotion. THE GRUDGE, though, topically, is something within all humans, an eternal FAULT, so even if you're 90 years old, the tendency to hold grudges is ALWAYS there, yet it is up to YOU to "let it go", and how much time it takes you to do so.
@@Parrish_Muhoberac You're exactly right - Fear Inoculum doesn't have the screaming in part because that's no longer a reflection of where he's at in life. Still, I did miss the Maynard screams on the album...
Amazing live and thank you for this great recording!
I was there! Thank you so much for posting!!!
Tool was my bucket list. Saw them in Dallas in January 2022, and it changed my life. I had tears coming down my face during the Grudge when he was chanting “let it go”. Now I’m taking a road trip to St. Louis with my 8 year old son to see them again, and I couldn’t be more excited to share that moment with my best buddy in the world.
Welcome in our church
BUCKLE UP! Don't forget your tools 😉!
Some of these lyrics and themes may be a little mature but someday he will get it.
I WAS THERE ON SUNDAY! It was transformative beyond anything
Thanks for posting this, I have listened to it over and over, amazing version of sober have not heard that live in years sounded fresh and new, thanks again ,
🖤🤘2022 TOOL is on FIRE! Just got back from New Orleans, Orlando, Tampa and Miami was last night (2.10.22) I was completely blown away with how incredible they were AND we got to hear The Patient and Sober! 3 rows back was insane!!! I want more TOOL!!! 🤘🖤
At the Orlando show. I was in a different dimension 🍄!
Man, that new vocal harmonization effect in Descending is incredible! Can't wait to hear it live!
Agreed! Maynard sounds so good when he has harmonies
I think it was the best song at the show I was at, Pittsburgh. I love every second of it, first live show but hearing the band play the entirety of descending as they weave the last 8 minutes or so was just awe inspiring.
Great job. One of the best tool audio live on the internet. Kudos listen to it every other day. Sure wish the video is there though. Great pics. Again five stars
I WAS HERE!!
This is so awesome . Thanks for doing this ! Tool Rocks
I was there, still coming down, thinking about going to Vegas Sat, need more...thanks for sharing this
This is awesome. They never disappoint.
Thanks for sharing this... I saw Tool in 2014 in Tajin Mexico and hope to see them again
Damn, Sober sounded good here
The ol’ boy still has it!
The used Sober as an opener in the early 2000's and it set the mood for sure
Caught the show in Nampa on 13th. This shit right here son. Thank you. This is a baller cut.
In this version of CCT, I really feel Neil Peart RIP 💜 vibes channeling thru Danny, particularly the 2nd half..then he went pure alien! 👽 Love this entire audio, it's Fantastic, as are the still shots!! Been subbed since '19. I cannot believe it's going on 3yrs since FI dropped!!
Thank you, VTX & TJ!! ✌🤗🤘
Man, I still miss Neil Peart. Goddamnit.....how is there no drum, Canadian flag or motorcycle emoji?! I got a little teary eyed when I read your comment, thought a drum, maybe a little motorcycle and Canadian flag would have been appropriate so I didn't have to type all this bullshit out, but NooOooOoo...here we are.
Going to see Tool in Dallas in less than 2 weeks! Saw this was posted, opened the video, and immediately closed my browser window. I want to wait and watch it after I see them live. I have to... be patient... I must keep reminding myself of this...
I'll be there in Dallas also! Can't wait! They sound amazing on this tour.
@@joshstewart872 I'm gearing up for the concert in Dallas I can hardly wait
Me too! Can't wait!
@@VictoriaKempPhotos Almost there!
Seeing them in March. Can't wait..🌱🌱🌱
Happy New Year to me! Found this today as I was taking Christmas decorations down, and an amazing way to rock the holidays out the door and get jazzed up for the New Year. This show is amazing!
mil gracias, saludos de Chile 🇨🇱❤️
Great recording here. The Grudge and then Right in Two, sounds so freaking good.
Next Monday baby! I'll be vibeing with them live in Dallas! My first time seeing TOOL. Totally stoked!
Wow, what a setlist!
For real! Insane mix of songs, the only real thing missing is Prison Sex, Aenima, or Parabol/a
bands on point, love to hear it, stay healthy for the run guys
Phoenix, Arizona this Friday. Getting goosebumps already!!!!!!!
For realz. I just started watching Youz Tubez a few years ago.
See you there!
So pumped!!
Enjoy your show!
They sound amazing! I can't wait London O2 gig!!
Which one ?
This sounds great, tickets are sold out pretty much for the Irish gig but I'm going to wing it and hopefully pick up at ticket there. Thanks for the upload 💚
Went to sac and sf shows.. thought the sound at SF was way better. It was epic! I'm so sad it's over. Thanks for this; will be watching while on my treadmill today!
Went to Sac show and was pleased! If the Chase show was better...playlist wise, glad I went North. Opiate and Push It within the first 3 was all I needed. The rest was gravy!!!
That's cuz San Fran has super awesome cool folks who love art and music immensely!!
@@justindeering4384 playlist was same except we got Sober instead of Opiate. Agree with Pushit! Was insane! Sound was better and stadium was better in SF

This is getting me psyched for the Dallas Show. They sound so good.
Same here. Can't wait
Saying thanks for recording and posting seems not enough. Was there and sending gratitude to relive
Amazing, thanks for sharing!
Thumbs up- 1st 5 seconds.- Maynard seems to be pracricing vocal high notes- Sober was badass!. Right in Two is one of the best songs on 10000 days- ive always wondered why they didnt rock it live more often. So good to hear it!- thanks for the recording.
It was always a deep cut off the album and my theory is they didn't realise how beloved it was until they finally went on streaming and saw how many views it got on UA-cam etc.
I seen them once years ago at the Oakland Coliseum best concert I ever seen until 1 -16 - 22 in San Francisco at the Chase Center "Unbelievable" by far the best concert - band I have ever seen ... Thanks for the ticket Dave...Will never forget what we seen when we saw the band (T O O L)
Good to see another local here 💜
Thanks for this!
Bands like this only come around once every 40 years ya'll...
I hope not.... I know these guys are old enough to be my dad, but i hope they come back and jam again soon so my son can say he saw them live too. They said they will be back at the end of this show, i believe them.
@@Tankerpaul223 lol, kids. It's hard to think of people being our age, as we age. Maynard is a couple of years younger than me, and it's hard to think of him aging, but we do. Being my age (60), I have been lucky to have seen some of these great bands. They are getting to be fewer and farther between, in my opinion. The 70s and the 90s were 2 of the best decades for heavy metal and progressive hard rock. I'll be seeing Tool for I think the 8 th time on the 31st, I am so excited, the Covid break seems to have done some good, they sound incredible.
Yeah, im in my mid 30s, and Tool had been around for a decade or so before i discovered their music 20+ years ago. My Dad was into Pink Floyd back in the day but i never was able to get him into Tool. I saw Tool live for the first time this past weekend in SF. I cant believe i waited this long. Maynard was tripping balls on stage in red pajamas while i was in kindergarten lol. Tool still fills a stadium in the wake of a pandemic.
@@VictoriaKempPhotos ha same here. I've seen em 12 times and, when I saw the setlist, I want to go again. Totally agree, the 70s and 90s were musically superior to every decade since and ESPECIALLY the 80s.
hope they do 7empest at some point in the tour
Will see them in Germany this year, sooo excited - thanks for uploading!
I would have paid to be there just to hear "Push It". Love all their songs. I hope one day to see them live.
7empest would be the one for me ….
@@StONed-mb1iv Third Eye
Third eye, pushit, both are repeating songs i sing daily
Make it happen Brady! Can’t wait to see them in London later this year! Last time I saw them it was epic!
"The Patient" :)
Not that I wasn't excited enough, but now I'm MORE excited to see them in DC on the 22 of February. OMG they sound amazing.
Be there on 22nd of February in dc waiting to see the glory of TOOL!
nice. i'll see them on the 23rd on Long Island!
I'll be there with ya! Looking forward to getting a polka dot bar in DC is ya know what I mean
THIS should be their LIVE album…it’s that good!!!
Seriously, I can't imagine a better sound quality for a show. This is a solid 100 in Quality and Performance!
nice set list! Got em in Dallas in 2 wks. Cant wait!
Legends... No Word, thx for this loveable share
I’ll be with the February 8th! My first time seeing tool and my sons first concert for his 16th birthday! I’m so excited.
I'm taking mine too....3rd time seeing them
You are parenting correctly 🤘🤘
Taking my 16 year old daughter and her best friend tonight 🤘🏼
Yay! I love people passing down the love of live music! I took my kids starting when they were 13, they are 44 and 35 now. Now I take my grandsons. My youngest son's first date with his future wife was with us as a family at OzzFest. ❤️
Try closing your eyes for a couple minutes during the show. Incredible! I'm happy for you!!!
Saw them in 2019 in Amsterdam. They controlled my breathing and heartbeat for all but the 13 minutes interlude.
Gawd this sounds so dam amazing!! I'll be here on 3/12!!
Saw them in Memphis a few years back. Excited to see them again here in a few weeks.
Your images choise is perfect.
Good sound 👍🤘 thank you 🔥
Thanks!
I was there! I was in section 212. Absolutely loved every second of it! Definitely gonna come again if they do the tour next year!
Amazing. Cheers!
I saw Tool in 1992 at a small venue in Philly. It was awesome. Haven’t been able to see them in person since but thank you so much for uploading. This is so different let me tell you
J.C. Dobbs?

Gonna see them in Miami next month. Can't wait!
Saw the Denver show of this tour a couple weeks ago, definitely the best concert I've ever seen.
Thanks for posting. Wanted to go to this concert but couldn't.
this gave me goosebumps
The live mix is top notch!
the sound quality sounds amazing!
Outstanding! So far the guys have really set this tour off right. Mixing in different songs. Love it! Was at the Tacoma show and was amazed..
Same, the Tacoma show was FU©KING EPIC 🤘🤘
they sounded insane good
Going to trip to this! Ty
I was lucky enough to attend the Raleigh, NC show (November of 2019) prior to COVID cancelling the remainder of the tour - by far one of the best concerts I've ever attended. They sounded great (in a building not known for having the best acoustics) and the visuals were spectacular. The audio mix blew me away.... it was so on-point. If you get a chance to see them, DO IT! You won't regret it.
That Raleigh show was great. Took two newbies and they were so impressed
That show was sick as frack
I use to see them every year until Covid restrictions. It’s a spiritual personal evolution experience. Sadly my ticket to this was wasted due to cov restrictions and I could find a buyer. Thank you for this recording. Hopefully it will hold me over and there will be an end to the segregation and discrimination. “There is no love in fear”
@@indyheel1534 I took a non fan once and he stumble out at the end seeming disoriented and said “what did I just experience?” That’s a Tool show for sure. And was fulfilling to be able to share something that there are no words to explain. We are one mind…💜
I saw them two years ago when they came to San Diego just prior to Covid shutting down the concert industry. And I just them almost two years to the day when they returned. Both shows were incredible! The sound and visuals were absolutely amazing!
I was there in section 116! My second time seeing them and the closest thing I get to a religious experience, so amazing. Thanks for uploading I want to somehow download this and keep it forever…
Best live show recording Ive ever heard
It’s unbelievable in good headphones
UM YES PLEASE!!! TOOOOOOOL IS BAAAAACKKKKKKKK BABY
AMAZING!!!!!!
fantastic, great, amazing
I got to see them in Nashville before the lockdown...fn setlist was stellar...Parabol+Parabola, all the hits from FI, best show I've seen EVER! and I've seen just about everyone...
Just saw them for the first time. I can finally die in peace!
Can't wait to see them in Chicago!!!
I wanna go next week in San Antonio but my wife thinks I will catch covid if I go 🤬
Same here, we're almost there!!
See you there. LOL
what a beautiful mixture of songs.
Super son , great sound thanks a lot
Was really hoping for Lateralus during this tour. Never heard it live yet. But I’ll happily take Pushit and Right in Two
This show was amazing! I went to this one and Sacramento the night before. One of the Best shows I have ever seen and I’ve been to a lot of concerts
Impressive by Adam at 1:19:30, to jump straight back in during a very very difficult time signature, I think drums and guitar both change to difficult and different time signatures at this point. Legend! Jump straight back in, when most couldn't even play the riff. Talk about getting straight back on the horse when you fall off!
cringe
thats the easiest part of the entire song to play
PLEASE come to the SLC show!! Your recordings are phenomenal!
