    Your tutorials are great. I'm always looking for new aspects and and add-ons to sensitivity drills, and yours are super solid and clearly taught. Keep up the good work, it's much appreciated!

    This seems so complicated, except for me learning the rule that there's more places to hit than to guard. From that, I opened my repertoire of attacks. I think I got it from these videos. This is great stuff!!

      It's really not complicated....but it is sophisticated. Learning how you absorb info best will help you move forward. Also, there's NO substitute for feeling it in person. Get a partner who is more experienced who can "pull" you along in your training progression.

    Love the videos! Please make more! I would also appreciate more trapping tutorials. Mainly because you break down the technique in a way that helps me understand. Instead doing a high speed demonstration, which is hard to keep up with.

    Once again first class John, some of the Dumog looks like it would be useful in the standup part of BJJ and even other arts very handy thanks mate.

    Thanks Colin! Appreciate the comment. Yes, you can fit these manipulations in many situations...limited by your imagination. :-)

    Hey Kinos141, thanks for the comment. Glad you've gained something from the videos. The thing is, it's not complicated at all. When you started to drive (if you drive, or any other task you take as an everyday norm) I'm sure it felt complicated. Driving did to me when I started! Now I can talk on the phone, drink a starbucks and navigate traffic simultaneously...and not even think twice about it. It's the same with these drills. They expand your ability to do many things at once. :-)

    Hubud lubud is as synonymous with Kali and JKD as chi sao is with Wing Chun. It's the Christmas tree on which you can hang hundreds of different combinations

    good stuff, I love the different deviations of Hubud. I hear allot of criticism when training this drill, people dont understand its usefulness.

    ...Which as you can imagine...is a fantastic thing to be able to do while being attacked. These are training methods. Training methods to get better, aren't the same as fighting methods to win quickly. For some reason people keep forgetting this basic premise.

    There is so much to "find" in this drill. Imagination is virtually your only limitation. Enjoy!

    People criticize what they don't understand. That's ok. Criticism may cause me to look at things from a different perspective, and if it helps me to understand all the more why I find it useful ... criticism can help. I am looking for truth...If criticism helps me to see dogma in my thinking process...it's helped all the more.

    Lol, just when i thought it was so solid and they covered bothsides.. at the end.... "And now you do that all on the left hand side" kinda funny, but yea,!! woo good stuff

  • @JohnKoeshall

    Case in point. Please see my above comment. This isn't Chi Sau and it's not from Wing Chun, it's a filipino drill. And actually, there's quite a bit of Wing Chun found in JKD...

    • @JohnKoeshall
      @JohnKoeshall  4 роки тому +1

      Hey von anthony macaraig, thanks for the feedback!
      By definition, a "partner drill" such as this cannot be done solo. Sensitivity drills need energy to feel during the drill. You need a partner to "feed" you that energy.
      Hope this makes sense!
