Birkenstock Zero Drop Minimalist resole

I received 2 pair of Birkenstock sandals from the same customer for a resole. Replaced the thick cork with a thin 10oz (4mm) leather midsole and reattached the original eva foam outsole. I think they turned out great!

I agree it seems silly to buy new shoes to tear them apart, but I'm watching this to try to convert my well loved birkenstocks into minimalist sandals. The straps are stoll in good condition, but I've worn them for years and the sole has started to disintegrate!

You can just buy the leather for the upper and the rubber for the sole in that way you save money, what is the point of buying a birkenstock sandal if you are going to remove the thing that make them birkenstock (footbed) .
