Very impressive - VERY impressive, indeed! No nation can beat Britain for pomp and pageantry; their military bands are a pleasure to watch and to hear.
Like Mr Barton I am also from a brass background, so I was very happy to note how well the Tidworth Army Band blended with the Household Cavalry band. The video was so enjoyable. THANKS once again!
Thanks for the kind comments Geoff, I’m glad you enjoyed. It was certainly one of my most memorable and favourite parades to have wittinesses and filmed!!
Super video, nice to see the other side of the parade. Thank you. :-) Coming from a brass band background I do love to hear the sop in the Tidworth band, not traditional in military bands so might not be everyones cup of tea though, but my favourite instrument to play.
Absolutly!! I love the sound of a strong military brass band and the power through the variety of instruments created by this massed wind and brass bands from the depths of trombones and Bb basses on top of normal Eb tubas to the soprano cornet and baritone saxophone in the Band of the Household Cavalry. Also love the middle of the band especially in Sarafand cutting through with the tenor horns and baritones! Really did make a fantastic sound!!
This is very good, enjoyable, and offers a crumb of comfort - or a figleaf - in the face of the real-life LACK of cavalry bands any more. A change that seems to have crept upon us unannounced, and been completed in pandemic circumstances. No more Hussars, Dragoons, Dragoon Guards. No more Royal Armoured Corps Band (itself already a far-reaching amalgamation). No more anything else. Household Cavalry, OK fair enough, one Territorial Band, and one (brass not truly wind/military!!!) band from Tidworth carrying a generic name and wearing a generic (not very special) uniform - as it had to be given that it put (forced) together bands from the Royal Artillery, Royal Engineers and Adjutant General's Corps. These could be considered compatible-ish, given that the Catterick-based band of the same kind came from the Kings Division (Infantry), Royal Armoured Corps (Cavalry) and REME (Corps Staff band)!!! Well we have to move with the times, but it is not without a twinge of pain comparing with how things used to be...
Through Bolts and Bars - one of my favourites. Wilhelm Zehle if I remember correctly. Strange a German composed so many British titled marches - Wellington, Scots Greys etc.!
Ernst Urbach actually with the original name of the march being "Per Aspera ad Astra" (RAF bands might play it more often) and I absolutely agree, fantastic march, especially the low brass section!
Yes, Through Bolts and Bars is actually composed by the German composer Urbach and does have its Air Force links. Interestingly William Zehle famous for Wellington, Army and Marine and so many more is actually Dutch!
Thank you. I believe the Band of the Royal Yeomanry are currently in the process of reviving brand new ceremonial dress and they are in the process of being made so wear this instead. As they are an army reserve band they are technically not part of RCAM. The corps provide technical support to them but they belong to, ran and funded by their regiment, in this case, The Royal Yeomanry.
British pride and wonderful display of pageantry.music and wonderful horses.thankyou.
The best military marching music in the world
marching around the kitchen and living room..... Well Done video and the music was superb.

Amazing video!! general mitchell sounded AMAZING!
I am in awe of ALL the military bands of the UK. They are all so disciplined, talented, and dedicated.
Oh, bravo, Military Bands Everywhere! That could not have been easy filming, with cyclists and skateboarding kids, & whatnot. Well done!
Thank you! Was quite a tricky one but well worth it!!
Thank you for introducing me to Cavalry Sunday. The combined bands did a fine job and your efforts are very much appreciated.
Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoyed and it was certainly one of my favourite events I’ve covered!
One of my all time favorite marches is Glorious Victory, thanks for playing this and posting it.
Amazing to be able to play an instrument, keep your dressing and march in time at the same time!
10:35 that trill was ASTONISHING!
Brilliant well done Brits.
Brilliant loved it and a sunny day too 🙂

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful ! Incredible. God save the Queen.
Greetings from South Africa
Wish we could have this kind of stuff in Germany, seems pretty enjoyable
The brown horse on the right on the band looks like it's in step (at the beginning at least). Neat!
thank you for an excellent video! also appreciated the names of the marches on the screen so much.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Great. Video and band. Soprano cornet was star of the band.
Fantastic and poignant. 🇬🇧🙏
J'adore les marches anglaises chapeau
nice to see and hear the sop cornet and tennor horns being used here
Forgot to mention the flugel horn aswell - Not often you see military bands with them all out
No country our soldiers in Britain the best small small island but we are proud

A superb sound from the combination of brass and military bands. The depth of lower brass and saxes was so good in that great march Sarafan.

wow, what incredible marches, does anyone happen to know where I can get the sheet music for my marching band Sarafand and Carry On?
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing! Doesn't the Royal Yeomanry Band wear their full dress anymore? Due to RCAM's restructuring program I assume?

@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere Interesting, thanks for the information! Really excited for their new ceremonial dress
