Excellent! I've used this as well on iNav when I didn't have enough servo outputs on the FC for a camera pan servo. You can also do this through the Lua in more recent versions under Other Devices -> RX -> Channel Mapping. Thanks Andrew.
Maybe worth mentioning that you can also specify the serial protocol on the the receiver to sbus. For example if you want to connect a gyro that uses sbus

Does that mean that the remaining PWM outputs on the RX are still active if you had some creative use for them?
Yep. You can set them up to release fish bait from any height into any water receptacle below - moving or otherwise! 😉😊
