Thank you David. I've been using SE for ages, and this new version is so much nicer to use. Up until now, I'd been adding a background box using the style manager and an opaque box but always find it too tight to the text, I wanted more padding. The 'generate background box' feature does that.
Did you notice you can pick rounded corners in that generate box?! I know you mentioned it before as a "I wish they had it" feature.

After I convert to .ytt with YTSubConverter the box color disappears & the " {\p1} " " {\p0} " text appears in video.
