Hi Andy ☺️ i like your videos pls do a piano tutorial of Mandy Moore, Thousand Miles. Thanks! 😉
Wow didn’t know you played Piano
3:39 can someone explain why when he explain the F major he plays it F A C but when he plays the chord a couple seconds later he plays A C F. Seen this done a couple times elsewhere and I don’t understand it.
F A C is the root postion of the chord
the notes of this chord are F A C, you can play them as A C F, C F A too, they are called inversions, just different positions (?) of the notes, but ultimately still chord F. so long it has the notes F A C, it's a chord F, you can just change the positions around. usually, beginners learn every chord in root position and only play in root position. but for players who are more confident and comfortable, you can play the nearest inversion (in his case he went from Am, A C E, to F, A C F) instead of going from A C E back to F A C. in piano playing you usually want to minimise movement in changing chords. hope this was helpful(:
Sabrina Loh very helpful thank you! Much appreciated 👍🏽
that voice tho. lol keep up the good work 👍
hey Andy! I follow you on guitar...now you can teach me piano . I'm brand new...having a go. Keep safe in all this global crap that's going on.

Thank you! I can't believe how simple it was to learn these songs! I am 60 years young and I am learning piano solely on youtube. I wanted to play piano when I was a child but we were too poor for instruments much less lessons. A few weeks ago a friend gave me an old piano for free and thanks to you I can now take lessons for free. The piano has 3 keys that are dropped and it needs tuning...but it is a dream come true. Thank you again.
Christina Myers how’s it going? I’m just beginning, very exciting!
Thats the most wholesome thing ever
60 years young lmaoo

you should start a channel focused on singing. your guitar videos have helped done friends that I am helping to learn the guitar, and these piano videos are helping me a lot. AndyVocals would be awesome
Thanks buddy! I'll likely add some singing lessons to my guitar channel next year at some point. To be fair - I get many comments saying my singing sucks, but I know that I could help a lot of people sing and play guitar at the same time
Like your teaching style and variety of songs! @ .49, G chord should be mentioned as G, B, D, as it’s demonstrated.
Well ladies, you may as well learn some piano, since you're here anyway.. ;)
i love that i can to you the first day i was learning guitar and didn't know you had a piano channel and then got my piano a year later and i was like "where have i seen him before?"
I belong with you, you belong with G
"Standard" G major triad... G-"A" D????
I saw The Beatles song and I just about imploded
I saw Paul McCartney preform that live
All of these song took me 1 try to learn. This videos title lives up to its name.
Thanks dude! I can see this was a bit more advanced than I'd intended. More super beginner friendly content to come!
Please teach us how to play Ntrance 'set you free' pleaseeeee! Thankyou I have been wanting to play this song for so long 😊
I just learned those 4 basic chords like 15 minutes ago and now I’m trying to find a song that I can practice with that is not a nursery rhyme🤣😅
Thank you Andy, your lessons are so easy and understandable, very clearly explained! Please release more songs tutorials :))))
Andy: And now put your middle finger here...
Me: What the....
I can't stop laughing... to play "laid" you start a C-sus, then hammer the F-chord, then stroke the G...this James guy knew exactly what he was doing. lol.
Dude I learned these 4 chords from a buddy of my mine he’s a youtuber and you showing me these songs dude thanks!! I’m outdoing a lot of my friends
Andy

your lessons make me to start playing songs with just four chords
Thanks for making this video
omg!! the opening theme to Cheers!!!!
Please do a tutorial on that in a few weeks mate???
Hae how do you play lord i need you by chris tomlin
That was a very interesting post, here are a few more tips on how to play the piano…
Try practicing for 1 hour each day, or 30 minutes if you are very busy.
Do more practice whenever you have more time. For example, on weekends you can do more than 1 hour, like 2 or three, or even more. This is very helpful because it pulls you out of the routine of piano playing, and lets you practice more and perfect the pieces you play.
Try not to look at the dynamics in a piece, as rules you cannot break. For example, if the piece starts with an 'mp' (mezzo-piano) it only means 'moderately soft' these dynamics don't have specific volume levels. If you are practicing, you don't need to play accordingly and then have a difficulty hearing yourself, you should only play as it tells you when you are actually trying to play it properly.
(I discovered about these and more from Denelle piano lesson website )
Hi Andy, any chance you could do a tutorial for She's a rainbow? Thanks
Guys please stop saying that he looks like pewdiepie
Because my fingers keeps liking them
I passed my music junior certain because of Ho hey thanks a lot XD :)
sory but Let it be explained... not correctly. You say one thing and do another. There are no 4 chords only. You do completely strange, different thing before and after "walking your little finger"
You say "C" and it doesn't look like previous C, so there are 2 different C chords or what? cheers
Hey David! You make great points. I'm releasing a 'How to play chords' video soon, which should answer all your questions! Will link to it on here when it's up.
In a nutshell, sometimes the chords look different because that song uses a different inversion (same chord higher or lower) but it does use the same chord. The 'walking the little finger' bits just make it sound more authentic to the original song, but if you cant do those yet, just keep it simple. Hope the upcoming video helps, out soon!
@@AndyPiano cheers mate
Why am I here? I don't even have a piano...
🤣🤣🤣
Catwhale lmao! Did you pick it up?
3:00
nah dude your name is pewdiepie
Just wonderful, I have been researching "piano chords that go well together" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Nonason Ranincoln Genie - (search on google )?
It is an awesome one of a kind guide for discovering how to play the piano like a pro minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy got excellent success with it.
why is the piano the smallest part of the video?
Just wonderful, I have been researching "teach me how to play piano chords" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Nonason Ranincoln Genie - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )?
It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to play the piano like a pro without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my cousin got amazing results with it.
Just a heads up ... he says G major triad consists of G, A and D.... he meant to say G, B and D....he played the B but said A
The first thing that came to mind when he first started talking: ?
Piewdi pie
Piano is so beautiful. Lovely. Thank you. :)
hey Andy nice channel are you going to be doing some more complex tutorials for piano in the future?
+Goofy Opinion definitley
Now this is exactly what I've been searching for!! I recently bought a DAW and guess what...I had completely forgotten all my old piano lessons - Hahaha!
But your videos got me back on track - Thank you sir 🤩
Pretty cool. Been playing for 10 years and can't believe I didn't know some of these techniques. Amazing what someone can learn over the years. Thanks for doing this, now I can play the chords for You can't always get what you want and let it be 😊
You've helped me soo much! I'm self taught and can never figure out the cords to anything I play and just from these few cords it helps so much!
When you notated the slash chords for the first song, you put xx/C ..... we know that slash chords, the note after the slash is the bass note, so why did you put "Am/C" but really you just played a C/A (C major with A in the bass) .... which is actually an Am7 .... anyways you did this for the rest of the chords in that progression.... I don't know if you messed up other songs I stopped paying attention lol
Isn't it sort of important to notate that sort of thing correctly, especially for a beginner video?
I’m still confused with the F cord ;-;
I tried to do it but I just keep messing up 🥲
you're so amazing :D
LOVE this tutorial. Just picked up 4 great tunes to start with. Will try the others later. Superb tuition.
thanks andy..
I’m trying to play it but I’m on a keyboard and I’m getting a pause in between chordes is there a way to fix that?
Hi Andy.
This sounds amazing and it's fairly easy to learn, but I have some issues with seeing the chords, as we go.
Do you have any images showing the chords/keys you press?
Oops, Andy! You broke convention by writing the first song chords wrong! The chord is written on the left side of the slash and the bass note is on the right side on the slash. Should have been: C C/A C/F C/A. Another way would have been: C Am7 Fma9 Am7.
So freaking hard I just bough a piano.
Wow he's so amazing😍i will try this👍
0:46 - "Standard G triad -> G, A, D"
:D
I thought it was G B D
You have something misunderstood?
Am/C is when you Play C as bass note, not the other Way around
Thanks for sharing, very nice performance and playing.. Cheers.. LUGERO!!! SUBBED:)
Yeah if you’re a beginner this is just one video like all the others where you can’t keep up until you rage quit. Just don’t bother.
on the Timberlake Song..you have written chords moving..bass staying on C....unfortunately you play the opposite...which is probably confusing for many...
Thank you for teaching my tutor🤣🤣 i hope i will used it very well thanks again😀
Andy:let's make this video 15 mins.
Also Andy:makes the video 20 mins.
GOOD JoB.
Can’t wait for my keyboard to arrive so I can start.
Now we know PewDiePie's 2nd channel! Also has a AndyGuitar channel...... PewDiePie likely has a Cooking and Home Improvement maybe a MMF or Real Estate channel. Get your detective hats on people!
This was a GREAT VIDEO however!!!
Just what I was looking for! Many beginner lessons are all single note songs. I wanted to play some easy full chords that went together and make them into something recognizable.
Are u pewdie pie or Matthias
The videos watched on UA-cam, VERY FEW teach well! Most are so terrible! They have the KNOWLEDGE , just do NOT know HOW to teach. This video is ok! He is a cool guy too! the best done: Jo Harris , Como Tocar, Come September. These people teach so well, NO complaints , they teach so good , even any dummy can learn from them! NOT to insult, just facts here!
Not bad, just NO one has done anything like " At this Moment" by Billy Vera n the B...., the Power of Love by C. Dion , In the Still of the Night " by the Five Satains. Memory by TS Elliot, or most songs by the great Yanni. Most people do a real shity job of teaching . This video not bad. He Does step by step and tempo ok! Every only has their OWN taste of songs. Just wanted to share a fair comment!
Hi Andy, Great tutorials, very informative and well appreciated. Is it possible to do Fear by Ian Brown. Thats one of my faves and my end goal to play....trying to do sound of silence presently.. Harder than I thought..lol
The first song should use C as bass (left hand) and not otherwise as far as I understand how chords are written... Am I wrong? Am/C, for instance, has not a G note but C/A does... You have played C/A instead of Am/C and so on... Anyway, thanks for the video. Keep playing and teaching!
awesome mo chara I am now learning piano and its amazing how easy it is to start sounding good with just a few chords
Thanks buddie, I can believe how simple it was to learn these basic 4 chord in just 15 mins I'm very grateful for your help people like you make UA-cam meaning interesting beautiful and awesome once again thanks for your help.
Could you explain what do you mean by the straight lines in between the chord symbols on the screen? I've just bumped into you on youtu.be sorry if you had already told this. Thanks for a lovely video. 🌸I loved the joke on You Cant Always Get What You Want, btw 🙂
Looks like Mark Turner! We bought a 3 wheeler, he bought us a mobile home. Because I had Danyel in school I could not move in with him. Unfortunately we drifted, however heard he got hooked up in drugs and went to prison
Goes along with funny Axis of Awesome video, although use key of D. Rick Beato has a good video about how these chords killed pop music, and Let it Be was Beatles only Top 1 song of their 27 or 28 that used this chord progression.
Appreciate Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you considered - Deyvelynar Celebrated Dominance (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great one off product for discovering how to learn the piano fast without the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend after many years got cool results with it.
Sorry, I'm having trouble interpreting the class notes in the upper right corner. For example, there is
IIC IF IC IF I - does this mean 2nd inverted C , Inverted F, Inverted C , Inverted F - what is the last "I "for ? OR is it C for 2 measures, F for 1 measure, C for 1 measure - then still what is the last I for?
Thank You
I've created a list of 30 Songs You Can Play with the Same 4 Chords, you can check it out here:
chordchord.com/30-songs-with-same-4-chords
Just goes to show that modern music, in my opinion, and I’m sure you’re going to jump down my throat for saying this, requires almost no talent whatsoever. Between using only four chords for an entire song, throw in auto tune for those who can’t sing, and a lot of computer software, and literally anybody can sound like a professional. It’s one of the reasons why I absolutely love and appreciate classical music, because it takes a lot of skill to play, Not to mention years of studying. I have zero musicians in my family, I am the only one that has a passion for classical music, and because I can’t read music, and because I grew up in a relatively poor home and my parents couldn’t afford to send me to A proper piano instructor, I learned everything by ear, keeping in mind that I am 61 years old, when I was a kid, there were no computers, and there were no shortcuts, if you wanted to play you had to play properly. So I would sit there, with an old fashion Vinyl record, and listen to it over and over and over until I could dissect every note I heard, and then tried to transpose it to the keyboard. After so long I have learned some of the most difficult piece is in classical music, but the biggest problem, is that I never learned how to read music, I just listen to it and then copy it, making me feel like a total idiot, especially when other people want to play with me, and they know how to read music, it inevitably turns out to be a disaster. But after 60 years of playing by ear, I never wanted to learn How to read music, simply because I got so used to playing by ear, giving myself the opportunity to play the piece with my own style, even adding or subtracting a few notes here in there, to make it sound the way I prefer. DO NOT do what I did, at 61 I am now learning how to read music, and it’s a goddamn nightmare, because I’ve been so used to playing all these pieces from memory with no sheet music, but because I recently joined an orchestra (i’m sure you’ve seen those “play me“ pianos in public, I was playing one at the airport, when some guy came up, and offered me a job to play with his Orchestra here in Toronto, even though I told him I couldn’t read music, but now it’s becoming absolute chaos with the orchestra is completely out of sync with my technique, and I cannot Read the sheet music to keep up with them, not a good combination). So for all of you that are just beginning, learn how to play properly from the start, because if you did what I did, it’s damn near impossible to learn the proper way to play the pieces, especially if you’re playing with other people. I only wish I could go back in time, forget everything that I’ve learned, and start from scratch using actual sheet music.
