What’s up my piano friends! Today we’re going to go over 4 simple chords you can use even as a beginner to play hundreds of popular songs on piano. Now, this is the simple, easy piano version. You could learn this in anywhere from one day to a week. Literally most beginner’s I’ve taught have learned this thing in about 3 days!
We’re going to simplify it by using some Music Theory Hacks - Don’t worry, you won’t have to understand exactly how they work. Just like you don’t need to understand electricity to use a light switch, you can just use these chords without understanding any of the advanced theory behind them.
So first off, I’m going to show you the exact NOTES of the chords. Next (THIS IS IMPORTANT) we’re going to go over the SYSTEM to learning them. A lot of beginner piano players don’t drill in the chords properly, and they end up frustrated and annoyed when it comes out sloppy, or when they can’t get hands together. But we’re going to eliminate that frustration by drilling it in step-by-step and using some techniques and strategies meant to solidify it into your muscle memory (like “The Four Rhythms!”)
And lastly, we’re going to talk about how to use “Money Patterns” and “Money Variations” to take this pattern to the next level - basically, these are simple variations in rhythm and timing we can easily learn withOUT changing the notes themselves. And it can give you a great way to spice up this chord progression when you use it in actual songs.
Oh, and sidenote: learning this can also help you start to develop some basic improv skills… so it’s like a 2 for 1!
Make sure you download the cheat sheet here to get started:

I am 73 years old. Never learned the piano, even though my mom taught piano for more than 50 years --- a big regret in my life. Decided to do something about it now. Your program is awesome! Thank you for putting so much on for free -- to get a beginner started. Well done!!
Yes, I am 55 years old. I am just starting to learn the piano. No pressure for learning new things just have fun!
You give me the motivation to learn piano. I am 59 years old. Better be late than never. Thank you
i hope yall are living healthy nd fine :)
This made my day reading this - I hope your progressing well! 🙏🏻 It’s NEVER too late too learn anything! ✨
@@amandadewar9722 I'm about half the age and don't even own a piano, and I'm still learning...this guy is a gifted teacher, and an eloquent salesman, tbh. Refreshing.
You know, the guy who made this is a great person, not only did he make the effort of making a UA-cam channel to teach people, he went all the way and put his time into making his own website to teach people for FREE. He is selfless and one of the people on this earth who use their knowledge to help others, even if it’s through a screen and about piano, it doesn’t make a difference. But he makes a big one. 🙂
Edit: 3 years, 3.3k likes and 95 replies to this comment later and I’m playing on a near professional level at the age of 16. I can say with confidence that, being at the level I was 3 years ago, what I was taught in this video helped me a lot.
Exactly I agreed
Thanks Zack, this is great I've learned a lot these few hours, although my muscles are stretched but will not stop cause its profitable. You are a blessing.
Very true sir. I have been taking pianoclasses for about 12 weeks, but this guy can help me play soo fast.
it has been my dream to learn, but because of my background i can't afford the lessons. but with his help i managed to write my own song.
Can't agree with you more. Some really wanna learn and get good at something but it not always possible to pay for these courses. If I had money I would've written him a big fat cheque just for what his doing for others. He will definitely live a life so blessed that his cup over flows
If you want to learn how to play piano just stay on the piano for all course and practice. You will be amazed at what you will accomplish! Here's the link to the video: ua-cam.com/video/Onvhq9Soz6E/v-deo.html
To anyone who wants to learn to play piano as well:
- Focus fully on your practice sessions, avoiding distractions. Be present and attentive to the sound, feeling, and technique of your playing. Mindful practice leads to more effective learning and progress.
I'm 127 years old and only played a banjo. You really helped me learn the keyboard!

I am quarantined at home due to corona virus pandemic and couldn’t be happier now that I’ve found you, as I am going to come out of this with a new talent thanks to you!!! Yahoooo
I'm just going to get up into loft and retrieve my keyboard. Was thinking the same as yourself about coming out of this pandemic with something positive to show for my isolation. The world will be full of keyboard players at the end of this if they all see this video. Good luck.
Sparkles Sparkles same here :)

Yeah me too! Loving this new learning!
I'm 95 years old. I've met many teachers and many students. I've never seen such a good tutor in my long life.
65 year old male first day on the piano. Great teaching ❤ I will follow you as I take this journey. You are Awesome!
Since my wife recently died (RIP Katherine) I'm learning/playing/;teaching music full time.
Guitar is my first love, been playing for 40+ years. Ive just recently taken learning piano and music theory.
You're channel is awesome, right about where I'm at - thank you for sharing all your hard work, I appreciate you.
Rock on !!!

So sorry to hear about your wife, Michael. I am glad you are enjoying the videos and that music is helping you heal from loss. 🎹
I just got choked up reading this, may the piano help you remember her and cherish her memory my friend. May your wife rest in peace.
My name's Catherine
The last time I took piano was like 50 years ago. Typical scenario, I took it because my parents made me. Got out of it probably after a year. I feel like I never got past single note drills and kids Christmas songs. Pretty much hated piano. Now I’ve had a miracle! I’m no longer tone deaf and I’m singing on our church choir and I want to learn piano. I’ve been watching all the beginner piano lessons I can find on UA-cam, and I’ve found your the easiest to follow. I like the handout, single handed left rhythm drills, then right hand chords without moving around the keyboard. Best of all I love following your lighted keys above your keyboard!!! Somehow by watching your keys I don’t have to keep looking down at mine and lose my place when I would normally need to take my eyes off the video to see what I’m doing, if that makes sense. I’m excited to continue practicing your drills and make real progress that I can feel and hear. Thank you for making it accessible for me with little musical experience!
The only thing that almost scared me away at the beginning was when you introduced chords that were not at the root, the way I learned from other videos, but once I got far enough along I saw why. I’m so glad I hung in there so I could see how quickly I would be able to play piano with two hands! That’s crazy and makes me want to learn more! Thank you!
Right..where did this guy come from?...just Great
Brilliant. I have been playing for 42 years and this is the best video I have seen on the four chords. Awesome hat by the way 🎹
I just started learning the piano a couple days ago and my biggest weakness has been trying to play with both hands. Watching your first 2 lesson videos bas helped so much. I can see so much progress already! I can’t wait to follow along with your other videos because I know I will continue to get better! Thank you, you are a great teacher!
I'm 63 and just picked up a used keyboard. I took some lessons as a child and tried online lessons before, but it was awful hard. So far, I've got through your first two lessons today and hope to continue with 10 - 30 minutes per day. Thanks Zach and I really want to keep playing.
Awesome Lori, glad you found the lesson helpful! 🎹
this guy is easy to follow cause he calls out each chord STEP BY STEP AND DOES NOT RUSH! NICE ! KEEP IT UP EVANS!! WELL EXPLAINED
55yrs old. Violinist. Played piano on n off 30 years. Poorly. Thank you I am getting this! Yessss! Thank you! You bring light into our world!!!!!
As a performing guitarist and bassist of 10+ years JUST learning piano…your lessons are really helpful! (I got it)
Doing this during quarantine is such a good way to actually do something productive
me too
Same
The method is easy
The way he explain it gives me hope .
It is. I played piano when I was younger and now I am back into now.
For years, I wanted to learn piano but got overwhelmed with all the other beginner tutorial videos. But this one here is the best. This actually reignited my interest to push through the challenge. Thank you! Focusing on your tutorials now. 💪🏽💪🏽
That's great
Yeah! The other vids just show what keys to press, but its.. Just not explained.
If there so happens to be those and more that fall behind, they are adressed first. Given chance to catch up. If not? Given thought as to what to do in order to possibly push through!
We're being considered. Given the chance we need. For those of us which simply required that, can finally push through. Break through. Good Luck!
Does just watching count against my 10,000 hrs. I’m watching during work and will practice after lol
I haven't had piano lessons since I was in second grade. I did it for a year and a half. My teacher moved further away and my parents didn't put me with another teacher. It's on my bucket list to do and your chord lessons gave me confidence that I can just ping, ping ping anywhere I go once I get these drills down. Additionally, I sing at my church. I am singing the notes or singing the rhythm pattern (long/ short) chord names as I play so that I can already have the muscle memory to sing and play when I get to that point! You so much Zach!
Hi Zach. I have never played the piano but i always wanted to learn since i was young. Can't express how grateful I am for your channel. I am so tempted to get a keyboard to start learning / playing along. Thank you so much for being a blessing
I'm getting it. 70 year old hands a little wayward sometimes but I will get it Rock Solid. Never too old to learn something new.
i am glad you said that i am 60 and thinking it was a little to late
Hello there. I am 60 and just started my first lesson today.
@@sushiljalan good for you so am i. i just bought a second hand keyboard my fingers feel a little stiff but hopefully i will be able to stretch them enough it's amazing how little children can play like they do and good luck to you and maybe you could video your journey and post up some when
oh I thought in my 29 it's too late. I ordered Yamaha keyboard yesterday, will have it in a few days, going to learn it

Literally day 2 and I’ve never touch a piano before! Love this lesson style! I’m finding it easy to follow and take things step by step. Even when you said when things get tough that’s when we learn the most really needed the rally!
I bought my piano years ago but didn't know how to play by own I was playing it without know any chords and now today I learnt everything in just 2 videos I really appreciate you you are the best tutor with best tutorials
Learning to play these cords made the incredibly daunting task of learning how to play the piano actually seem possible for me. I had tears in my eyes when I finally brought it all together.
That is, no kidding, possibly one of the best UA-cam tutorial ever created. The teaching talent and passion you have is just off this planet.
Totally
Well my friend, you are very selfless for offering such incredible lessons for those who want to learn how to play the piano. I have adult ADHD and I have always had a difficult time learning, based on the way some people teach. However, you are the very FIRST person who offers solid hacks and ways to solidify the notes into our muscle memory. You teach the way I learn best. It can be very difficult for us neurodivergents to take advantage of courses and lessons if they do not cater to the different ways that people learn. I am 55 years old and I learned how to play the piano from a friend, back in high school, when I attended the School for the Arts. I clearly remember that she taught me in a very similar way as you. Thank you kindly.
Im a beginner at learning the piano. 16mins in and I wanted to asure you that this is still solid lessons, even after the years since the video was posted. Personally, one of the best videos Ive been able to learned from.
Zack. I'm a 67 year old man who never played any musical instrument before and you have really slowed it down for my middle aged brain. I think I got it. Great job teaching us beginners.
You do a great job of teaching and explaining. I am legally blind and play by ear. So I’m not looking at your finger positions. I’m glad you can explain them and describe what you are doing. I’m glad you take it slow and steady going step-by-step. That really does help beginners.
😎
Thanks Zach for taking the time to make this awesome, easy to follow lesson. I am 67 and had some minor musical background but piano always intimidated me. Now I feel with your help, I may just beat it and be able to make music again. It has been years and I truly miss it. Thanks again.
I get it! The way you lay it out is perfectly understood. I like the main keys that you give us and allow us to be creative and stay within the boundaries of the lesson. Looking forward to more!
My husband always played this way and how wonderful that I have found someone like yourself to help teach me. The videos are amazing and just after a couple of days, I feel optimistic that I will be able to accomplish this. Gonna sleep on it now and looking forward to getting back to it tomorrow. Thank you so much. What a gift you are providing to those of us who desire to learn.
Thank you Pam. Glad you are finding the videos helpful! 🎹
WOAH! This is UNREAL! I'm piano beginner, only know some boring melodies and tried to find some basic chords and YES, I did see some of those other videos which were confusing. I put this tutorial video playing from laptop and practiced left had along with you, paused video for rythms, and at the start, tried those four cords but it seemed that it would take few months to master those.... UNTIL you broke those down and provided tips! It's mindblowing when you understand the structure that moving fingers inside the chords makes all the difference, it's EASY. At the end of the video I already know how to play these and now I only need to master these and add rythm. Simply amazing! Thank you so much!
Wow I've been practicing these chords for 3 days and I got it! I was skeptical at 1st but kept pushing due to your enthusiasm and encouragement! Can't wait to learn more thanks a million for these lessons ❤
I AM 70 and have been mucking around for years, this is excellent , i am really looking forward to practising these techniques, greta work mate
Never touched a piano until today at 42 years old. Bought my first one and played this! I like taking a break and going back and watching my muscle memory kick in. Thank you!!
Your style of teaching is exactly what I wish I had 18 years ago when I started taking lessons. I quit out of frustration because I didn’t have the patience to study and learn how to read sheet music like my teacher wanted me to. Your videos are making me ecstatic to learn and play again!
Awesome Monica. Glad you found the video helpful! 🎹
Helpful
Going strong!! Been practicing for just two days with this cheat sheet and video and my pinky is feeling stronger already! Thanks so much for the video and motivation 🎉
Day 2, Lesson 2, I made it! Bought keyboard yesterday. I made it this far! Never played piano. But have played guitars, bass, drums. So i have a little rhythm. Age 59. Retired few months ago, and need a new instrument. Feel pretty confident after lesson two. Ready to tackle this! Great lessons and teacher! No more wasting hours of watching cat videos when you can be doing this! HA!
Nice work and Congrats on your new keyboard! 🎹 Glad you liked the video 🔥
yo man I just started trying to learn the piano , and hadn't really got too far, but after watching and actually learning chords and I've really learned how to play a little something. Man I'm 61 and disabled and really am trying to play the piano. Again thank you for your time.
Zac you inspire me to practice, practice, practice most times for 2 hours! I have advanced and it's super easy now with variations. I am a senior who mostly taught myself the hard way till I discovered your tutorials. Playing the piano during lockdown inspired me to play songs to keep my pain at bay! Thank you for the free lessons, and your encouragement! You are awesome!
I have always loved playing the piano, even though I never traditionally learned it. Growing up I would sit in front of it and just play random songs and beats, but I loved the sound, it really resonated with me and helped me to express myself. I've been in a very deep depression for a few years and haven't been able to find a solid hobby or even be motivated to do anything in general. However, after I found your videos, they have inspired me to start to play the piano again (and actually learn it) this time!
This is the second video I've watched from you and I appreciate the encouragement for when things get tough to learn, since that is when I get scared or discouraged, thinking I'm incapable of learning it 😢 Playing the piano again, even for the bit I have, has been very therapeutic for me. I really appreciate your videos for sparking that in me again, so thank you again! Please keep them coming 😊
Thank you, more encouraging content is on the way! Happy to hear it 😊
This video I learned the most useful cords and practiced them for a while. I loved the progression and feel like you’re teaching is very well received. Love it!
Wow, thank you for sharing your journey. Glad it was helpful 🔥🤗
IMPORTANT: I know a lot of people want to shut off the video RIGHT when I show the notes of the chords early on. I get it, it seems like "Ok, I can just practice it now". This is a BAD idea, most people that do this learn it incorrectly and end up with SLOPPY habits that they have to unlearn later. There is a very specific way to learn and drill it in, and that's why the video's 20 minutes long instead of 3, so please watch the whole thing I'm begging you lol.

Hearing the passion in your voice tells me that you truly want to help people learn. Great Job.
I bought this keyboard two weeks ago didn’t know nothing you just taught me something in 5 m five minute I had to take a break. My fingers was hurting I can’t wait to go father. Thank you so much. my God bless you.
Zack, I have a high appreciation for your love of music, and an even more appreciation for your desire to teach. In just one week I have learned more from your teaching than I have from anyone else, in the history of my attempts to learn. You are awesome. It is truly amazing on how simple you make this to learn.
My son loves the way you teach!!!He practiced and very excited to play for family anniversary 🎉
You are my music Saint! I have been playing guitar for 40 yrs plus and have written more than 100 songs. Transposing my music to piano from guitar will be a blast! You have made this so clear! I am 62 years old by the way and the future looks great!...thanks!
you can tell he genuinely cares and wants to share the knowledge and beauty of how much enrichment you can gain in life from being able to create music. and he wants to empower people with that skill! but also i doubt he’s interested in constantly teaching beginner piano classes...haha that’s gotta be drainer for advanced players so this is wise he is doing this bc it provides a service to others to get engaged and he now has more time, energy, and network to teach, be fulfilled, even some extra well deserved financial abundance from creating new students. thank you!!

Hey Zach! I've been trying to play the piano for a few years now in my spare time and came across your video recently which I have now worked through and can successfully play several rythms using these great 4 chords!
Thanks a lot!
You are so right, there are so many videos that are so overwhelming and end up deflating my enthusiasm. This video is at a great pace and easy to learn.
Thank You!!!!!!
Got it Zach! I'm 71 and getting ready to retire and have fun. I've tried a sheet music learning from 'Great Courses' and was demoralized. I just want to riff and have fun not perform boring sheet music. I feel liberated...THANKS!

This is what I’ve always wanted to be able to do!! It’s so easy!! Thanks so much for your interest and passion for teaching!
This is incredible. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos!
I’m 37 years old. I bought my key board day before yesterday. I have never played the piano before. EVER. I’ve learned more from your videos in 2 days than I EVER thought I’d ever know. These videos are perfect for BEGINNERS! Can’t wait to watch the rest! Thank you!
how can i learn aii the keys fasterfaster
I really appreciate the way you break down each chord progressively and really drill it into our memories; first time piano learner here, thank you very much!!
Thank you love it
Thanks Zach. After learning to play as a pre teen I performed at recitals but nothing more. Peer pressure made me stop and I regret that. I only retained the basics for reading sheet music so I play by ear now. Complex pieces and pretty good. However, three years ago I bought my grandkids a very quality keyboard. With online lessons one of them has become very good now and I want to keep up with him, at least. Started watching youtube lessons and saving many of them. Just found yours and will save them all. Thank you. You have a great teaching style and look forward to learning from you.
Man. I love the enthusiasm in your teaching. Encouraging new potential pianist. You really hype the new-comer. Here you have a new subscriber. Thanks for that positive vibe and energy
Hey! I’ve tried this so many times and I’ve never found a video that really helped me. Right now I finished your video and I am so happy that I did. In all the other videos I’ve watched I always felt like I could never do it but this one prove me that I just needed a teacher that could teach me it like you do. Thank you very much I will definitely continue watching your videos and you just earned a new subscriber
I'm self taught (20+yrs ago!) and these videos are filling in the gaps! It's amazing how your muscle memory falls to the same pattern, I'm enjoying the challenge to learn new patterns. Thank you so much for doing this, amazing stuff! 👌
Awesome Lucy. Glad you enjoyed the video! 🎹
Cheers Zach, it’s really starting to click. Learning piano for the first time at age 57 but I see from the comments, there are a lot of older people doing the same. I love your teaching style; you’re so positive and generous with your knowledge. The best teacher of any instrument I’ve seen on UA-cam. I’m loving practicing along with your videos. Cheers dude 👍😁

I actually needed to slow down the video a little bit, because I couldn’t tell your hand placement on the right side. Once I slowed it down I was more able to get the correct finger placements! I feel a lot better about it now, and I’m ready for the challenge! So far your explanations are really helpful, and you give clear direction. Thank you for making these videos! 🤗
I'm not gonna only thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating such a brilliant simple video, but for restoring my passion to carry on learning how to play the piano cause I was about to give up as I felt I wasn't getting better.

I just want to say I am 56 years old and have been playing keyboard since I was 13 so upwards of over 40 years and I find your videos still very helpful to me and helpful for developing new skills in my playing abilities. Thank you very much.
I am a57 yr old lady, messed around with guitar years ago but nothing disciplined. I started cleaning, at my church. Of course there's a piano. I've only checked out a couple of your vids and I'm thrilled to say I'm getting it! We're talking a combined total of 45 min. Maybe hour. But I'm excited as can be. You teach way fast but thanks to tech I can slow you down or pause ya. Thank you, young man. From Billy Joel to some weird hymn I fully know the name of, I will play!!!!!
Hi Zach your enthusiasm is infectious. The simplicity with which you break things down is very easy to follow and carries everyone along at a great speed. Well done and thank you 😊
Thank you!! Glad you liked the video 🔥🔥
I've been playing the piano for 40 years and I am an old lady now with a young heart and this video made my day. I learned so much and I followed everything you said!
well done Lisa, keep at it !
Hope you're still keeping atit despite the situation in the world right now
3 years after this video came out and it’s still teaching people I’m not even near a piano and the way you explain it is so simple and to the point no nonsense truly an amazing teacher
Thanks! I played the guitar for 20 years, now, my daughter started learning flute and I wanted to have a motivation to parctice regulary with her and I know your piano lessons will help! thank you.
love your enthusiasm...its infectious ..exactly what I have wanted !
Wow! I am blown away by how great this teacher is! Truly makes learning the piano easy and fun!❤
3rd day on piano (never even touched one before); learned it along with your video exactly on the 15 minute mark. Does not say anything about my skill, but about how FANTASTIC of a teacher you are. Man you are awesome! Thank you.
I'm from Thailand, 51 years old, never learn piano, really enjoy your teaching, thank you. Your explanation is so clear even though English is my second language.
Thank you for sharing your story, you're very welcome! 🎹
Thank you for being such a captivating teacher. If I would have closed out of the video I would've missed out on really important learning processes, thank you for repeatedly telling us not to leave the video I'm so thankful to have this opportunity to learn from you. If I would have left I wouldve kept playing the same things as before because it was "good enough". Thank you so much for doing this. Playing the piano means the world to me and learning from an engaging teacher who actually cares that people are learning and creates a teaching style that actually engages people / students is extremely important. I look forward to more of your videos to help me engage with creative practices in ways I dont even know yet. Im so excited. Thank you.
Bro that legit just taught me what i been tryin to learn for 28 years..respect
I started learning the piano a few months ago and used other video tutorials, but I had been struggling with coordinating my hands. Your video helped me get it down in less than an hour 😱
You’re a great teacher! Thanks so much.

😊 Hi Zac, I've just spent several hours working on this lesson which is excellent. I have tabbed out each part so that I don't need to watch the video every time I practice and from now on I can use the video for reference and to refresh my memory when neccessary. The tabulating process has helped get it ingrained into my mind so now it's the muscle memory that I need to work on. I played clarinet and saxophone in various bands but never mastered the piano. I also play blues harp [I have a UA-cam Channel with 50+ videos] and have played with lots of bands over the years. Mastering chords on the piano would help me to write new material without having to raly on others so it's important and finding your lessons has been a major breakthrough so thank you for making this excellent material available.
Thrilled you found the lesson helpful; excited for your piano journey! 🎹🎶😊
I have played the piano by ear for over 20 years, but I never really learned how to play “properly”. Your teaching style is really working for me and giving me the confidence I need! Thank you so much! ❤
As an over 80 year old I came with little expectation having never played piano, but after a short time my confidence is growing
Good going keep it up

I'm a 76 year old semi-retired psychologist, and I'm doing this program for fun and to improve my brain functions. I also walk daily, eat right, and never dreamed I'd find a teacher who used my dad's "chord based method" which he never had time to teach me..never too late!
Zac, greetings from Ireland! I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into sharing your talent with us. At 60 I am finally overcoming my fear of failure and practicing on a piano that has not been touched since my daughter left home…. You have really simplified both theory and practice - I can’t thank you enough. ☘️
Thanks so much
Great teaching style
I am like a lot of these old guys (57) as a kid I took 8 years of Toronto Royal Conservatory of Piano so I can read sheet music but my dear old church organ lady teacher pretty much ruined my joy and desire of Piano I don't like classical all I wanted was the ability to jam in a rock band and sing I don't have the talent to memorize or play by ear It is amazing how enjoyable those simple chords can be without getting bogged down with technical terminology
I am working on a Floyd Cramer boogie Woogie Flip flop and bop and a Lady Gaga A Million Reasons and a Motown hit Sugar Pie Honey Bunch all them relatively simple chords Stuff like Don't Stop Believing by Journey that's where my musical soul lives
Simply wonderful 👌 Zach, you made the lesson so easy to understand 💙 Clear explanation and instructions, straight to the point, and exercises with enough repetitions. I have adhd and often I get bored and distracted easily. You grabbed my attention from the beginning and I watched all the video without interruptions. I love your energy! Thanks for the help 😊 I have a bit of trouble moving on time one of my fingers in particular, because apparently that finger is not strong enough 😅 Hopefully after many repetitions it will get better and easier... Any suggestions of exercises to gain strenght and elasticity?🙈
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that the lesson was helpful for you. 😊
Watching this video was such a great help! By the end of it there was a noticeable difference in my overall playing, smoother and much more consistent performance. I find myself giving up on many piano tutorials because they go over the lesson too quickly for me to follow and understand everything effectively. The thing I love most about Evans videos is he gives you the opportunity to take your time, which in turn helps you obtain the most information as well as learning to be patient when on the keys. If you do not have the patience to play slow when learning something new, then you will never get the full experience of playing a beautiful, smooth, masterpiece in the end. I always love seeing how my playing has improved after each video of yours I watch!! Thank you Evans!
This guy is a legend, giving music hacks is good for the piano community.
My guy these aren't piano hacks, literally everyone in the "piano community" knows that these are just simple hand motions that make you zero progress and skill. This guy literally robs people with classic sales techniques and piano knowledge for you to buy his "course"
Lui è bravo ,io no .La tecnica sempra buona.
You can now expand step-by-step into Ballad style, Blues, Jazz, Ragtime, Improvisation and creating your own melodies. You will even learn how to read music AS you learn how to ‘play-by-ear’ and eventually you will be able to play some amazing Classical pieces. visit here 4LearnPianoEasy.blogspot.com
I’ve been playing piano for 45 years. Moving the middle notes for the chords and especially the four rhythms is extremely helpful. Can’t wait to continue these beginner lessons.
Thanks Chris. Glad you liked the video! 🎹
Same here I’ve been playing a while and this is awesome
A very high quality tutorial, I was able to learn the four chords and can play them in any order in under an hour. I highly recommend this tutorial.
Hey Zach, I have to say, I have tried a few other online piano courses and then stumbled upon your videos/courses and have been practicing and playing around for the free course and am really enjoying it. I wanted to say that you certainly have a way and gift for teaching and I feel like I have already made significant progress, especially in just learning the chords and then using them to play. I am exploring your premium courses and will likely take the plunge soon. Just wanted to say thank you and it's been a wonderful experience thus far, especially for someone who could never play with both hands.
I have actually just tuned in but you gave me an understanding of the keyboard, thank you, it's great to see someone who explains everything every step of the way. I have always loved the piano and with your tutoring, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have finally learned something and I'm 55 years old. He kaiako miharo. (An amazing teacher). He nui aku whakamoemiti mo tenei kaiako. (I have a lot of compliments for this teacher.)
Hey Mike,
As a teacher, I'm impressed with your constant referral to how we learn. The idea of the self learning through the tough part is super. The reason for repeat is muscle memory, reasons for different types of activities really pushes the student on. And best of all asking us to write out what was good and what needs work. I really love your teaching.
One thing I myself seem to have a problem with is the f chord on the right hand. It seems my thumb becomes lazy and I forget to add it with the whole chord. This doesn't seem to happen with the other three.
Great beginning! Thank you.
Pat
Amazing breakdown of how to use both hands - I am 53, never learnt to play with bith hands and this is starting something in my brain. Love this - will be trying outthe combinations of rhythms and chords to fix it in my head and muscle-memory
I’m liking this simple teaching,
I also appreciate you mentioning the lesson that when one engages within a lesson more, the more they retain and keep!
Thanks for sharing Diego! Glad you liked the video 🔥
