This chick was my female super hero. I was in high school when I got a hold of miseducation. It was my senior year, and I was already singing, BUT when I heard Lauryn voice, I melted. I miss her, and still a #1 fan.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WOMAN! I hope and pray all is well with her and that the world gets the opportunity to experience her greatness again. I still bump The Miseducation in my car on a regular -it never comes out of the rotation in the disc changer lol. I'm really thinking about taking a trip to Miami to see one of her upcoming shows even though I don't 100% feel this sped up version of the performances I've seen of her recently -it doesn't take away how hard I still ride for her.

I didn't feel like going to school so me and my mama went to the mall instead. We went to Sam Goody Music store and I told her to buy the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album for me and she did.
Her solo album dropped when i was grade 7 and all her music has been in constant rotation from then to now and will always be. Cant wait for her new stuff and to just hear her growth and maturity.
I'm so glad she's coming back to the recording studio! Alright Lauryn..time to show these little girls from Hollywood what it really means to be a true artist..lets go!

I would have loved for her to do a hip hop album...but I'm not picky or boxing her in. I'm just glad she's back.
Lauryn, we need you to step up again and speak for those who have no voice. you are a bonafide legend out here, you have respect like Aretha, and can easily put to shame these clowns.

i will always be a fan of this intelligent, articulate, & beautiful woman, even if i understand her less in her current state. i'm happy she's looking to re-record, but i feel kind of scared for her (i know i shouldn't), bc The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is a HUUUUUUGE challenge to follow-up. i think this is also D'Angelo's issue as well, w/ his brilliant album of Voodoo. You know what I find sad... That in 2010 with a black president.....People Still see color....as an issue...fighting over who she sings for.. I am white... I love her ... she is pure beauty....One of the best telents ever to be in the World.. Also it should not matter what color you are her speaking out on color is not what I am talking about..but because there is racist and other issues with skin many still feel for hate to themselves or others because of skin and there are still racist people.

I watched the same video and she didn't sound like she was struggling to me. She just sounds a little different, her voice has matured thats it.
