"Sometimes to be used by God we really have to be used. We have to be punched and kicked." This brought me to tears, I lost my faith when I was thrown down and punch and kicked by life. But I see now, I have to really understand the reason for my suffering.

She’s really such an inspirational person, she might not be perfect in her personal life, but her words are so powerful, the way she describes the experiences and mindsets of life in a succinct way, the mountains, the baggage, how we think about vs how we feel love, how challenges can make us better, how we can always learn, even analogies with the Matrix are very meaningful. Hearing what her daughter said is horrible, but it is also true that some of the most influential philosophers and most influential entrepreneurs/creatives are a bit crazy, and ppl like John Lennon and Steve Jobs were horrible in their personal lives. Its strange that Lauryn Hill gets defamed and degraded for her personal life, her career torn down, but ppl like Lennon and Jobs remain infallibly immortalised (read some bio’s and you’ll know this isn’t slander but fact)
