In 39 seconds Jerry does what most can't explain in 10 minutes. Gentleman, thanks Mr. Miculek
He even shoots words efficiently
He's a straight shooter.
Fudd answer though
@@I_dont_give_a_care eh. It's a Paul Harrel answer; if we're talking stock guns with no replacement uppers, an AR and glock will only get you so far. The Smith will take deer and other large game with ease if in the hands of a competent hunter, the .22 will take small game and birds, and the shotgun will do large game, small game, and birds, and there are adequate defense loads for everything he mentioned. In a collapse scenario, it's going to be less like Bosnia and more like the great depression.
Point of interest - he listed one gun, and two cartridges. I feel like this didn't answer the question.
I feel the same way!
He understands needs versus wants. He is a true old school American!
SFTU! I know this would not even be close to your list and you are full of chit!
I still can't get over the horror of the premise: Only 3 guns?!
The way things are shaping-It could be zero guns for us and deathrays at the Capitol-ironcurtain.
Words from an extremely wise man.
Terminator: "I'll take the phased plasma rifle in 40 watt...."
Gun store clerk: "Hey buddy, just what you see on the shelves"
Yeah, even a Tesla has a +250,000 watt motor.
Oozie nein-millimeetah.
Colt 1911 45 longslide with lazersight
Best line ever
Just what you see pal.
I love you Jerry, you remind me a lot of my grandfather, thanks for all the nostalgia and great info you put out. Cheers
I love how quickly he answers! No need to even think about it...
I've thought about this before too. All I really need is a 12ga. shotgun, .22 rifle, and a .45acp handgun.
Exactly. Thanks for sharing Jerry!
M41-A Pulse Rifle, BFG9000, MIB Noisy Cricket :)
+CrazyHorseMusX LOL!
Quite The combonation XD Could take care of any Xenomorph/Alien/Demon that can be fathomed. But in reality I would Like to have a thompson contendor chambered in 300blk.
Excellent choices
Totally agree with your pick on the 3 guns you must live with. I have the S&W Model 28, .357 Highway Patrolman, the Ruger 10/22 rifle and Mossberg 500 in 12ga. Those work for me too!
M4A1
M1911
12 Gauge Mossberg 500
+Henry Rosenberg 'MURICA.
But you say nothing about Jerry taking a 6 shooter? Practice mag challenging... like jerry can reload a wheel gun.
Solid choices
I only need two guns! (I wish you could see me flexing my biceps right now)
Yes sir. Those are necessary firearms. They spread will take care of pretty much any situation that arises
Hi-Point 45 acp with a hammer taped to the grip (So after it fails after the first shot I can throw it as a tomahawk)
A Shotgun with a pitchfork bayonet
8 Glocks ghetto-rigged together via welding so when I pull the trigger once I get 8 shots and they would be gapped out so I wouldn't miss whatever I was shooting at and I can attatch it to a motorcycle and make a death bike like out of something from Mad Max.
outmotherfuckingstanding ,young man.
AnCap all day
AnarchyNetwork wishing you were the one who bought the property next to mine.
I laughed out loud
I have them all. Well, a Ruger GP100 7 shot 4.2” anyway. Great food for thought Jerry! Always listening to your counselling.
One of the most "to the point" videos I've ever watched, thank you
This video got me thinking about the practicality of my own arsenal. So thanks for posting it.
I think of this in terms of ranges and multiple uses. Basically hunting or fighting. Also modularity and economy/availability of parts and accessories. So that being said:
1. Semi auto high capacity 9mm pistol. (Glock, Xd etc.)
2. Reliable Pump shotgun. ( Rem 870, Moss 500)
3. Carbine preferably in .308. ( AR10, M1A, Saiga /VEPR 308)
AK-74
Glock Model 22 (three barrels so I could fire 9mm, .40, and .357 sig)
Remington 870 12 gauge.
Niiiiiice
you can get a .22lr conversion kit for your glock too. i would use an ar15 for its simplicity and because you can get a 22 conversion for that also and it only takes a second to do. i also live in america so ammo and parts for an ar are very easy to find, easier than ak parts anyways. especially if shit hits the fan.
id do the same setup as you but with an ar instead. i also like the feel of the block 23 a little bit more
tyskizee 'Murica. Yeah, I'm from California but parts availability for me is a close second to overall reliability. That said, I have an AR too. :)
***** i definitely agree but this is 3 guns for the rest of your life, haha so i would want to be able to fix the only rifle i could own if anything were ever to happen, not to mention finding ammo.
Love it. Short & sweet. I agree if I only had 3 to choose. The 357/38 Is like having 2 or 3 in one package so is the shotgun.
Jerry explain something in 39 seconds that most youtubers would take 39 minutes to explain
What? He didn't explain at all. I'm curious why he picked a .22, but he didn't share his reasons.
@@stevewimmer9758 small game hunting and pest control purposes mainly. Squirrel, rabbits, groundhog, etc... Also the ammo store you can hold with a 22lr is like three fold more than something like a battle rifle because of the size of the round. So basically you can carry and keep more ammo in the same amount of space.
Shotgun makes for bird dinners and large predator defense.
.357 mag out of a 5" is still enough to hunt with but not so unweildy you cant carry it around for predators of the two legged variety.
Those are my thoughts anyways.
I have these exact weapons set aside with my go bags for these same reasons.
A .22lr bolt action, a 12ga pump gun, and my 6" 686+ is my EDC anyways.
Absolutely spot on, faultless advice.
I love my S&W 627 5 inch barrel 8-shot revolver. I love it even more now that I know it was the first gun that came to mind in Jerry's top 3!
Good to hear your thoughts. Thanks
i have a little bit of a different approach, since i know how to make a bow with just basic tools in the wilderness, i feel i can take small game with that skills. so i have opted with
1.) Colt Trooper MkIII .357mag revolver
2.) Mossberg 500 12 guage pump
3.) Mosin Nagant M44 rifle 7.62x54r ammo is easy to find in bulk, has alot of power and range, have hit 800m steel before with bare sites easy.
love your videos man!
I was asked this question a couple of weeks ago. Some of it is simple. 1911 with multiple barrels and slides. AR-15 with multiple uppers. Remington shotgun with multiple barrels.
So you really tried to loophole your way around the question. hahaI understand.
Awesome. Only difference is I have S&W 686 as opposed to the eight shot .627 to go with my Ruger 10/22 and Mossberg Shockwave...glad Jerry agrees with me :)
Love those 3 picks. I agree!
Just bought a 627 V-Comp so I’m happy to hear him say 627!
Colt 6920, Remington 870, S&W model 29
This is fun to think about!
#1-M&P Pro 1.0 with 2 extra PC Core top ends 9mm ported, with a extra threaded barrel and a 40s&w ported.
#2-Winchester Super X Model 1 tricked out.
#3-Thompson Center Contender with a bunch of extra MGM barrels(22LR, .223, 357 Max, 22 Hornet etc.) and other goodies!
It's hard to think small.
1st Phased Plasma Rifle in the 20 watt range
2nd R&C R.Y.N.O. 5
3rd L4D Auto Shotgun
This man with a 22 long rifle would be a force to be reckoned with. He’d be aiming for the head while you’re shooting in his direction lol
My Scar 17 18” 5r barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmore and the oem 16” .308 barrel , my CZ 9mm CTS-LS, and my Vepr 12
Glock 19(reliable gun and mags aren't expensive) 12 guage shotgun (too many reasons to explain) and AR-15 (my favorite gun)
Mr Parker exactly my choices .. but this guy can do things with a Model 627 8 shooter and reload I could never do with a Glock 19 and 4 spare mags
My good ol 1911, model 870, and my ruger
Mr Miculek is one of the few people I wouldn't consider stupid or ignorant for choosing a revolver... I've seen him reload one 😂😂😂
Soo very relieved that Ryan Hill the expert agrees. Thank goodness, I was just waiting for you to weigh in.
Nice add 😁😁😁 I tought the same 😬
Amazing he includes the .22LR in that. He is taking the bolt action center fire rifle out of the equation, I believe to say he can make that long shot with the .357.
He's Jerry Miculek, of course he could make the shot!
Glock 19, AKM, .308 rifle.
Cool, I have a S&W 627 Mag 8rd. I have an M&P 15-.22 & a Mossberg pump.
The right tool for the right job:
Stationed - RGS 308, Rem 870, and S&W model 29
Vehicle - AK-47, Rem 870, and Glock 35
Foot - M4, any pistol grip pump shotgun, Beretta 92FS
I own a S&w model 10-7 and a Remington 870.. just need the 22 for the full arsenal!
mine would be SKS, savage 270, and a 22 bolt action rifle
My choice 45 70 Martini Henry, 30 40 Krag , and must have .303 Enfiled the one with the stock to the end of the barrel. All three just to fondle and admire
S&W AR15 MP15 sport 223 with 12x30rd mags
Glock G23 Gen3 .40 with 7 x 13rd mags, 1x31rd, 1x10rd
22 LR S&W Mp15-22 with 6x30 round mags
1. Glock 19
2. Rifle dynamics AKM
3. PKM with eotech and magnifier
Marlin model 60 .22LR, 18 shot semi-automatic, Remington 870 pump action and a S&W 686 357 Mag. (I would have definitely chosen a 9mm semi-automatic but I'm thinking simplicity, reliability and also a malfunction or breakage requiring me having to get parts). I originally put an AR-15 as my first pick but changed it to the Marlin after I watched this. Makes sense. I owned a Marlin model 60 18 shot semi-automatic 22LR I bought 40 years ago in Tacoma and it was a great rifle. Very accurate and reliable. Wish I still had it.
I would go with my Springfield XDM in .40; Ruger 10/22 rifle; and a SOCOM M1A for longer range requirements. Would really be sad to only have 3, though.
Nice choices.
Only change for me personally would be the rifle. I would want something that can be used short and mid range with a possible mid to long range reach.
S&W 686P 3". AR-15 with a CMMG 22lr bolt carrier. Mossberg 500 with 28" bird hunting barrel, 24" rifled slug barrel, and 18" home defense barrel. Oh gosh I do have those plus a few more too. ;-)
My S&W J frame 38 for concealment, M&P AR15, and a Mossberg 500.
Nice and short!
I agree with everything you said, although I would take my Springfield 1911 loaded. I love that gun, and I have never had a single issue with it.
Remington 870, Beretta M9, and AR 15
This proves it ... great Louisiana minds groove along the same channels ... except for that one inadvertent slip of the tong when Jerry didn't say GP100.
great answer ...
1. Model 19 S&W 4"
2. Savage 311a .410
3. Remington 552a .22 S\L\LR
I Remember when the 357 was king before the semi auto pistol craze and I totally agree with that list of arms.
ar-15
mossberg 500
Glock 17
oo la la
Mikey mic excellent choices
Ar15(5.56) Ithaca m37 in 12guage) and a ruger mk2 in 22lr with a suppressor(I'll be slipping the suppressor on the ar15 from time to time.
AK47
Remington 870
Glock 19
All good choices, except I'll take a Glock 27 in 40 s&w
My colt sbr with 22 conversion and factory bolt, 870, and Sig 227
PPQ M2 9mm, AR15 1/9 twist barrel & Remington 870 20 gauge!-
I have to agree with the choices and reasons you point out. I would probably lean to a 585/686 or GP100 in place of the 627, but no big deal. Of course I am happy I don't have to choose three, and write often to our elected officials to state the same. Thanks for your videos, informative, and often entertaining. Here's hoping our rights are not further diminished. I urge your viewers to make their thoughts known to there representatives.
My three..12 guage..44mag revover..Also my 308 ruger gunsite scout with an Aimpoint micro red dot sight
I like hearing love for the 22., especially since so many people hate on it.
Amen,,, I guessed them before you said them,,, lol,. Perfect
I like the concept of justifying one's selection. Jerry does this better than most can. I could see having just an AR, a Glock M19 and a quality
.22 rifle.
Remington 870, Glock 27 and a Micro Galil
Jerry here can destroy the next 7 world super powers, armies, and apocalyptic scenarios with just those three guns because he is the weapon.
That's crazy, before I clicked "play" I thought about my answer from a purely utilitarian survivalist standpoint, and came up with exactly the same answer.
Excellent choice bro
Mosin Nagant M44 - Utilitarian beyond belief, pretty much unbreakable.
AK Variant (47 or 74) - Doesn't need the level of support to keep running like an AR (Cleaning/Maintenance/Repair etc. - I have two AR's by the way)
Marlin 795 - Self Explanatory
Colt Commander XSE.45
Remington 870 12ga
Henry lever action .22LR
Covers a lot of ground
It sounds to me like he was under the impression that these choices had to last him a lifetime without spare parts. And in that case, they make way more sense than AR's and other newer platforms. Those are time tested and proven.
he didn't actually name the second or third gun, though. He just picked the ammo out and left it up to your imagination.
You consider an AR to be a "newer" platform? It's about the same age as the 10/22
This guy is the best and the fastest 💨 🔫💪
I couldn't agree more
s&w 686, ruger 10/22 and Mossberg 590
1) Colt single action
2) Winchester 94
3) model 1897
Nobody is a cowboy here?
1911
Winchester Model '94
Just about any decent 12 gauge pump or semi-auto
Part cowboy here, I guess, lol
Arsenal SLR-104FR, Mossberg 500A with a 20" slug barrel, and a Glock 21 Gen 4. And plenty of CCI shot shells to shoot snakes with, too.
Ruger GP100 357 Mag 6" barrel; Rossi 1892 357 Mag lever action 24" barrel; Mossberg 500 12 Gauge with 20/24" barrel. Rossi 1892 out of the box can be a little rough, but with a bit of home gun-smithing, the very accurate Rossi '92 becomes slick and fast handling. Both the GP 100 and Rossi 1892 have extremely strong construction and actions capable of firing very powerful hand loads. In strong guns, the 357 Mag can be loaded to extreme power, practically equaling 30-30 ballistics out of a rifle.
From a military standpoint
M4
FNX45
Mossberg 590a1
From a civilian stand point
AR-15 with 20" barrel
Glock 19
Remington 870 express tactical with threaded barrel to change chokes
I agree.
Good choice of calibers with a good ideology behind it. Makes total sense to me...
sweet!!!
Multi Cal AR with a 22lr, 5.56 and 6.5 Grendel upper. Glock 23 with 9mm and 357SIG conversion barrels and a 12ga shotgun (prob. older Wing master)
Retro 590a1 (it has a bayonet lug so it can be a long stick)
R700
Jericho 941
My 454 Ruger Alaskan (for it's versatility being able to also shoot 45 colt), for a rifle I'd say my Winchester 290 semiautomatic 22lr, and for a shotgun either my mossberg 500 410 or 20 gauge. Just depends
Me too.....hehehe, now gotta pick which one from each catagory🤣
I'd do the same basically, but i'd have my remington 870 12 gauge, my ruger 10/22, and my beretta 92fs 9mm. It'd be ashame not to have my bushmaster, but as long as i didn't have to do any fighting i'd be fine.
Hey Jerry, can you show is how each of those 3 guns would be set up?
Robinson armament XCR-L in .223, Benelli M4, Sig P226. Let’s get it!
3 guns here, but 4 calibers:
-- 9mm Baby Eagle for short range protection
-- Mossberg 500 12gauge for short range protection/fowl hunting
-- 5.56 AR pistol & a .22LR conversion kit for medium range protection/hunting
18" stainless barrel AR-15, my trusty 1911 in 9mm, and a 3 1/2" 12 gauge 870. That would cover all of the bases.
A 1911 in 9mm??? What planet are you from?
I think it depends on how you define "gun". Do caliber conversions count? Because if we only consider the receiver to be the 'gun' then I would take an AR-15 "pistol" with a conversion kit to become a carbine (see ATF 2011-4) and a variety of different caliber uppers, including 22 rimfire. My second gun would be a semi-auto centerfire with 22lr conversion. My third? I really don't know right now, probably a shotgun with a few barrels (one rifled for slugs, on vent-rib for sporting, one 18.5" for defense). Those 3 should be able to cover just about anything if accessorized properly.
For example, a Glock 22 fires 40S&W but can be modified to fire 9mm, 357 Sig, or 22LR. There are big-bore AR-15 uppers for long range shooting, 22LR uppers for plinking, and everything in between. It's not ideal, but it's adaptable.
Savage model 111 in a 338 Lapua, Mossberg 930 SPX shotgun, Glock 20 10mm,
Smith and Wesson 686, Browning Citori 12 ga, Winchester Model 70 in any deer caliber
357 combat magnum 5inch, my p320 with caliber kits, SCAR light
Barrett 107a1, M1 garand,1918 Colt 1911 or glock 19x
Supressed 9inch ar 15 chambered in 300 blackout, glock 19, knights sr25 in 6.5 Creedmoor.
Beretta 1301 Gen III, Glock 48, Savage module 10 scout in .308.
Right on the money 👍🙏😂
I would take a Remington 700 heavy barrel with upgrade lower receiver topped with a Nikon prostaff 5
and a sx4 12 guage
and a Ruger 10
