  • Though the economy in Lagos continues to boom, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening. Makoko, possibly the biggest floating slum in the world, is just a 15-minute drive away from Lagos Island, the central business district where most Nigerian celebrities and billionaires live. Economists worry that such inequality could worsen insecurity in the state.

    My dear, someone has to do menial jobs, everyone needs someone to clean, wash, fix vehicle, paint, etc.
    Inequality will never stop but if someone had the wise idea to build some apartment homes one and two room houses with the help of the private sector for those low income workers things would look a bit better with just maintenance returns!

      It’s not that black and white and easy to cut when you include other nations involvement and Africa’s corruption

    Is Lagos there state? Let them return home
