Even the most recent ocg banlist looks like an April Fool’s joke. At this point Konami’s answer to broken formats is just wait till the next overpowered archetype is released so we can have a new tier zero format.

Hitting Nadir Servant is like "two birds with one stone" hit for Branded and Labs.

I actually believe it was the best of the possible hits...If they touched kitkallos, they will have all the tearlaments enjoyers at their doors..and if they banned Nadir or limit it...they will have to give lots of UR material to almost everyone in the game..So, taking 1 copy and call it a day it was the best choice....Of course, they could have ignored completely, like they have done with snake-eyes and circular, but obviously they have to pretend they care about the game...
The labyrinth should have gotten hit instead.

Excited for Arias but I’m running the lair of darkness variant because for some reason I kept running into Charles. Ariane into Lori, lady of lament tribute 2 monsters, get my Lilith back to tribute again 😅
konami making banlist is like "look at the deck that need balancing and ban the card that doesnt belong in that deck".
One thing they can do with Kashtira is if you special summon any of them you are locked into xyz summoning for the rest of the turn from the extra.

Pretty much but I don't hate errata if they explain what a card actually does better or if they don't make the cards useless.
I'm predicting that Nadir Servant will see more usage in Sword soul x Albaz lore decks. Also, Dark Magician and Red eyes might get some assistance in the form of the Sinful spoils engine. There is potential that we will see Centur-ion be added to Master Duel some time in either late May to early July. Additionally, you can expect a marginal number of duelist to up their decks for 40 main deck cards (due to decking out or other) to potential 50.

Dogmatika player here. Especially upset because it's the only way I even enjoyed this game anymore. Now when Lab drops Nadir for Butler and Unchained anyway, we'll just be sitting here with an even more weakened deck for no reason at all.
I'm a lab player, and i think the hit was incredibly stupid, would've rather see big welcome to 2 than nadir, of course i also would like at least one furniture at 3, but that's besides the point. Nadir hit is probably one of the most stupid i've seen.

Yes unicorn. When I play against snake eyes. 99.99% they always open with unicorn. And by the time you get rid of him. He already took out 2 monster of the extra deck
Lmao SE needs Unicorn less than other decks that ran Unicorn. Unicorn against SE means you can take away their Princess which neuters their extension + disruption follow-ups

What are you smoking? It's not Lab that got pots limited. They literally limited all the pots because they don't like cards that make you draw a lot, aside from Maxx C that gets a pass always by MD.

My proposal in every survey is to have Events testing erratas, and they could start with Maxx C. Same could be for cards like Elf, Kitkallos and any overpowered or splashable card, so that certain cards could still be legal and more balanced. Even a balance with a single errata would be stronger than this banlist.

I am a bit sad about unicorn, but at least 2 birth is nice to have. I have been experimenting with Sacred beast Kashtira since opening of the spirit gates can bring it back from the gy and I am waiting for the lvl 7 beast to come out to capitalize on birth. Having two copies will still be nice if one birth gets banished + it thins the deck which is always nice.
I play snake eyes and even im shocked we didnt get a hit
I swaer almost every MD ban list has some weird shotgun hit that for no reason hits as much deck as possible and in the most cases decks that are already stuggleing against the meta. That not how you hit meta decks, it makes already weak decks weaker and nothing changes with the power structure.
To be honest, I don't know why SHS barely got hit. Soulpiercer is the reason the deck pops off in combos, and the GY effect is NOT EVEN a hard once per turn. Semi-limiting it won't do anything LOL🤣🤣
SHS as an engine is fine. 2 baronne is not op. It gets op where the shs players go into therion through qliphort genius or floodgates / naturia.

Konami if you are gonna hit Lab then HIT LAB why are you hitting Smile Sorcerer and the Nadir engine when that’s used by a minority of Lab players *and is used by a lot of other decks*
im not saying nadir was a bad hit, its still used by every lab ive ever played against. Its a +3 or a +2 with mills so that makes lab even opressive
Lot of Lab decks are not on Nadir engine. The hilarious part is the ones that ARE on Nadir was gonna drop it anyway for Unchained
That's the thing. They aren't gonna hit lab since the butler will be in the april pack. This is your classic "we don't want to hit anything, but we'll release a nothing list to show that we care when we really don't"
If we're talking rainbow magician ain't nobody using it except stun decks and more annoying lab stun builds so good riddance to that. Honestly if they were gonna hit Lab I'd rather hope for a ban on EEV and D barrier before something as big as a big welcome limit though that's probably my bias as a Lab player coming in tbh.

Its not really just snake eye almost everyone and their mother is using unicorn in their decks its toxic and polarising if they're going first and you interact with them with a hand trap monster effect now you're getting 2 cards ripped from you're extra deck before you actually get to play it gives too much advantage aswell as knowledge and your most important cards are getting ripped kash was a stupidly designed archetype but what can you expect from an archetype that was literally built for toxicity like locking your opponent out the game by nuking the players zones this is a light hit tbh because they obviously want to try keep the actual archetype alive at the same time this does nothing so it may aswell be nothing
If only they make it random, its actually okay but them really looking at extra not only getting your needed extra deck monster they also have info with your deck, they really need to errata the card
Everyone thinks that the only problem with Kashtira is Ariseheart when Unicorn and Fenrir are truly busted custom cards. I can't count how many games I've won just because of Unicorn ripping my opponent's ED.
Unicorn wasnt nearly that big a problem as its only being used to deal with snake eyes since its a counter. Konami decided to attack the anti bodies not the virus
You know, I play a pure Superheavy Samurai deck, and I've been okay with the hits that it got. I actually think they've been pretty generous about it. In any case, the spare room in my deck, thanks to the semi-limits of two of its deck searchers, gave me reason to play two other cards that I left out purely for the reason of having no room.
I am fully convinced that konami is trolling at this point. How do we balance the game? Meta decks too strong you say? Here are some rogue hits instead

The Nadirs hit has to be for stun. That's where i see it the most. It's literally pot of greed but ya know they usually end up going + 3.
Unicorn helped non fire decks deal with with snake eyes and it helped pendulum decks.
Retrain or errata add restrictions to broken combos so they can keep them?

I always been saying unicorn should be hit its able to snipe extra deck monsters and can get 2 if I goes first and gives you a peek at what your opponent plays. Funny enough I was already running 2 since I couldn't craft an extra one it's still solid should of been limited.

Erratas can be confusing but nothing stops konami from banning a card like fenrir then print fenrir 2 which is the exact same card with different artwork and increased restrictions
I think they don't want to nerf decks like LAB,branded, SHS, Kashtira too much just to keep the meta with more decks that only snake eyes, hope next month we have a real ban list.
