    3:29 CORRECTION: That is NOT an on/off switch. It's not clearly labeled, but the instructions clearly state that is an on/standby switch. Even when you have that light switched off, power is still running through your mixer. That switch is so you can cutoff the signal and turn it back on without the big power-on thud you would get by unplugging and plugging back in the power cord. When you are not using the mixer, you should remove the power cord to extend the life of the mixer.

      It is the same for most items in your house, they are powered down to standby, rather than power cut directly but we call it on/off and it has the symbol (circle with a line through it). Thank you for watching

    Frist of all, great shirt!! :-). Secondly, I love this series of small mixers from Yamaha and I've been looking at this one for one-person gigs. Thanks for making the video!

      Thank you. This is indeed a great little mixer. I will soon build a cabinet for my gear (including a Graphic equalizer and H power Amp). Thank you for watching. The wife bought the shirt 😊

    You mentioned blutooth? How? Looking at this for karaoke. Users could bluetooth to this from phone. What do i need to add bluetooth? Thanks

      Yes. I have a Bluetooth adaptor plugged into it for karaoke and Spotify. I bought two different ones, Esinken here: amzn.to/3Y9zqt0 and Logitech here: amzn.to/3zVrbqg I have reviewed both of them already. The first one here: ua-cam.com/video/k0G2mz0r-bk/v-deo.htmlsi=1srCSbrQpOInl0mG and the second one here: ua-cam.com/video/M77emLH-q_U/v-deo.htmlsi=5ITXJBwN_8dWY0WE Thank you for watching

    What's the difference between "Gain" and "Level" controls? Don't they both adjust the volume? The main amplifier also has volume controls. Why so many volume controls?

    • @Boopolo
      @Boopolo  9 місяців тому +1

      Without going into too deeply: Gain is signal amplification. Volume is the perceived level of sound, and it takes more signal energy for a lower frequency than a higher one to produce the same perceived sound level. There are many free resources online for further study. Thank you for watching.

      Easier to understand:
      Gain is the level going in.
      Volume is the level going out.
