      I'm not handy, but i am a clean-as-you-go sort. While a housekeeper comes in 2xmonth, i clean the dining room and kitchen after most meals (we are 72, retired 12 yrs), clear and clean table, rinse dinnerware, put into dishwasher, wash pots and pans and put'm away, clean countertop, stove top and sinks. Hey, guys, takes 10 minutes in our minimal digs, 850sf 2/2/2. My wife does gobs around here, mostly the brain work.😉.....so she deserves help.

    I love that you fixed the underlying issues with the mold, unlevel floor, and rotted plumbing rather than just painting over a turd. Some people say they take pride in their work and with others you can just clearly see that they do. You're the latter. It's a beautiful bathroom. Nice job.

      It was bedtime. Eyes were closed ready to start snoring. Had it on a playlist. Was immediately jolted awake by the bgmusic. There was something "ominous" about it. From then henceforth, couldn't tear eyes away from start to finish. Timelapse combined with being cast on tv made it pointless to fastforward. Mesmerised is the right word. Especially like the shower tiles and sliding doors. Could munch on oreos ice cream in here. 😆

      It might look pretty, but a lot of it isn't to code ... especially the water proofing (tile floor & shower).
      A layer of tile and grout does not make it watertight, at all. And doesn't look like he put vapor barrier on the walls either, meaning that just doing it on the ceiling, was utterly useless.
      Thermal bridges ... rough circular cuts, no caulk behind the hardware of the taps to stop water from getting behind, into said rough circular cuts.
      I'm amazed at how people who know nothing are quick to insult those who offer valid criticism of the "craftsmanship" ... when it would fail at first inspection.
      Ok, it might be his place, so he can do "what he wants" (you still need to follow code though, because as things such as buyers law if he ever wants to resell the place, it will lose a tremendous amount of value from the simple fact a lot will have to be redone to get it up to code).
      So yeah, I'm also amazed. But I work in the industry.
      It might look nice (and don't get me wrong, it certainly does look nice) but it's just a DIY job. Sorry.
      Edit: as the saying goes, many skills but a master of none. There is a reason each job is a profession in and of itself.

      @@P5ykoOHD Hi from the uk. You would be amazed at the quality of the so called 'Professional' trades here! Some of them are total rip offs. And their 'Trade' is below the standard of Professional. This is a DIY undertaking. And from what I have seen in my 69 years of DIY I would employ his knowledgeable craft to replenish/modify a bathroom or kitchen if he were here in the uk.

      @@JoJo-Hamilton Unfortunately, I'm aware of tradesmen in the UK ... I did the Tour de France with the Compagnons du Devoir as a traditional plasterer, and later expanded my trade into painter. I used to frequent quite a few real professionals, and learned their trade by proxy (at least, how to execute it correctly).
      I stand firm however on what I said above. If we were to respect code, I would also employ him, he isn't bad ... it's just not exactly to my standard of quality.

Seriously need to hire this guy for my impending home remodel. No one here does this kind of job. They cut a lot of corners and try to overcharge for shoddy work.

I need about half the updates in my bathrooms that you required in your bathroom. 20 years ago I had them all redone and now age and wear is showing. Thank you for your time and dedication, knowledge and hard work to create this really great video post. I plan on catching some of your other posts as time allows. Man, you've got a keen skillset!

      Hustle means both "a state of great activity" and "a fraud or swindle".

    • @Ned-rb5zd
      @Ned-rb5zd 3 роки тому

      @@rudolfantler1732 I was referring to “a state of great activity” the content in which the guy uploads shows no signs of “fraud or swindle”. If you were to watch his videos you’d realize how hard he works to accompany everyone’s needs such as where he is transforming a bathroom but allows the bathroom to be fully functional at all times so there is no complain from any party. Inturn this makes his job a lot harder and stressful but he still goes out of his way to accompany the people around him.

    • @rudolfantler1732
      @rudolfantler1732 3 роки тому

      @@Ned-rb5zd I can tell he's hard working, but I know little of remodeling..
      He could not do things up to code. Use the wrong/cheaper materials. He could leave important steps out. He could be charging too much and make it look good, while its actually primed for leaks and mold.
      It looks legit, but I wouldn't know. Neither would most customers.
      Thats why, to the untrained eye, he could be both.
      I'm happy you cleared it up tho
