You look great. Such an amazing result :) I live in Melbourne as well and I wanted to know who your surgeon was so that I can consult. And can you also tell a rough estimate of the entire surgery cost. So happy for you xx
Thanks so much! My surgeon was Dr Mark Baldwin, he has such extensive experience, definitely recommend looking into him if you are considering rhino :) All up the anaesthesia + surgeons fees + hospital fees (1 overnight stay) came to about 10k. I used the site RealSelf a lot for researching, reviews, and what to expect recovery-wise, and if you mention you came from RealSelf user you get free consults, so that was a bonus too!! Really I was expecting to pay a LOT more given his experience and amazing reputation.
Thank you for sharing! I’m in Melbourne and this is exactly what I was looking for. I was surprised to see it looking so good/you back to work at the 3 week mark!
You look amazing :) Really nice result :) I have my surgery planed in January. I tried fillers before but as you said it can just help you to get rid of humps but cant help with the width of your nose. I am really excited that I made the desicion now to do surgery, but I am still very nervous that something could go wrong. Since I also have to save up money now, I as well think it helps with making sure if you really want it and if you are willing to put the afford into it, like the waiver off certain things you want to do because you need to save that money.
Thank you, that's really nice of you to say so! Oooh how exciting! Where are you having your surgery done? Yes I agree, saving up definitely helps you question that it's what you want, especially at the end when you have all this money together and could spend it on anything really (or just save it!) :)
Hey girl...you look great! ❤️ I really want to get a rhinoplasty this year and thinking of seeing Dr Mark Baldwin. I’ve read a lot of reviews and they’re all so positive. Just wondering if you got any digital imaging or simulation done during your consultation so you knew what your results would be? Also how long did you wait between consultation and actual surgery date? 💞
Heya! Thanks! No I didn’t have any digital simulation, we just discussed what I wanted to change and I saw good results from pre-op noses similar to mine. We seemed to be on the same page about the outcomes, and the before/after photos of other people were a good indication of the result I would have so I was satisfied with that. My first consult was at the very end of January 2020 and I had my surgery mid March 2020 :) hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and if I don’t hear from you, best of luck!!!
I’m so sorry I’ve only just seen your comment now. Did you find your breathing improved? The nose takes ages to fully heal and for the inflammation/swelling to subside… many times I thought I was fully healed but there continued to be small changes!
@@EliseHewlett thank you for your reply! The recovery was rough, I actually had a minor touchup a week ago to fix up the breathing concerns and now just waiting to heal up.. gosh I just feel like one of my nostrils is still whistling a tad and that’s causing an obstruction.. so hopefully after I’m more healed up I don’t have that.. but I have a feeling I might need to go in again for a touch up.. oof 😅 glad to hear it just takes awhile! Def gives me hope.. just about being patient now.
Sorry to hear your recovery was rough and you still had issues which meant a touch up was required. Hopefully you’re on the right track now 🤞🏼It seriously is a waiting game! Whilst you are in the healing phase it’s easy to get caught up in thinking (worrying 😬) that that’s how it will be forever! Sending healing vibes 😊✨
What a amazing result! I want your nose haha I saw in the other comments you said the total cost was around 10K just wondering if you had a breakdown of the fees? Meaning surgeon fee, anaesthetic fee and hospital stay cost? I’m also in Melbourne so this video was super useful! X
Thank you lovely! The breakdown was: surgeon's fee $6,200, anaesthetic $1,800 and 1 night hospital stay $2544. Pharmacy cost $67 (included 2x different pain relief, antibiotic, laxative). All consults were free which I really appreciate. That's everything I believe, feel free to probe me on anything I've missed :)
