@@scottbloomer8696 the range on all Fleming's is about 1000 nautical miles at 10 knots, 2000 at 8 knots and 3000 at 6 knots and around 400 at high speed cruise with the standard engines.
The Fleming 65 is a remarkable choice, known for its top-notch quality. What specific features or aspects of the Fleming 65 do you find most appealing, and is there a particular reason it stands out as your favorite?
I think Venture II has the Cummins fitted and she's a 65. 58 is the sweet spot for me. I'd probably go the MAN's for the extra shove when sometimes needed. Regardless for all of them, One word - Astounding!
That's great to hear you like Fleming Yachts! They do have a reputation for quality and craftsmanship. Have you had a chance to explore any of their models in person, or are you planning to in the future?
I would say the most popular of the Fleming models is the 55, it is big enough to live aboard comfortably yet small enough to be easily handled by 1 or 2 people.
The Fleming 55 does indeed have a reputation for being a popular choice, thanks to its comfortable living space and manageable size. It's great to hear you appreciate its versatility for living aboard and handling. Are there specific features or design elements of the Fleming 55 that you find particularly appealing?
@@HarbourMastersTV I like all the Fleming models basic design / looks, the 55 appeals more because it's size. Here in British Columbia half the available marinas cap the length of any boat at 60 feet, another 25 % cap it at 35 feet. The 55* lets you access 75% of the local marinas, bigger models limit you to only 25% of them. * technically the 55 is 60' 10" so it's 10 inches to long but that is a small enough over limit you can still get a spot in the marina.
Nice classic looking yachts & not instantgram looking hotel designs. To be honest I would want something like those classic designs but designed to be more like a house boat, for instance I would delete a spare guest cabin or two in a mid sized to large yacht for a large pantry such as dual full sized freezers and 1 full sized fridge. My use case for a yacht would be a full time live aboard that goes up & down the coasts of the USA & into the Caribbean. Nowadays people rarely have time for vacations so I don't think it's worth while to spec a yacht out for guests you may have out once a few years.
The classic aesthetic of Fleming Yachts is truly timeless. Your specific vision of blending classic designs with functional elements tailored for your needs is quite intriguing. Creating a yacht that serves as a comfortable live-aboard with ample storage like dual freezers and a spacious pantry is a brilliant idea. Tailoring the yacht to your personal lifestyle and preferences is indeed the key to truly maximizing your experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
The Fleming Motor Yachts are so beautiful, strong, and steady. A family yacht for an experienced family. Its only downside is its Range, in my opinion. They're advertised at 2000 nm @ 8kns, with 1000 us gallons of fuel. That for me is not enough range. Don't misunderstand me. Fleming is my dream yacht. The 58 for me! Their interiors are gorgeous. It's their range or lack of it that probably keeps buyers away. If all their vessel did 4000 to 5000 nms @ 8-10 kns. That would be great. They may offer more fuel capacity and less HP too. I don't know. Me, I need range.
Welcome to the channel! While we haven't covered Outer Reef Yachts yet, it's a great suggestion. We're always looking to explore different yacht brands. Is there a particular model or aspect of Outer Reef Yachts that you'd be interested in learning more about in a future video?
The range of the Fleming 85 yacht is approximately 2,500 nautical miles (4,600 km) at a cruising speed of 10 knots. It offers impressive capabilities for extended voyages.
Thank you for pointing out the discrepancy in the conversion. Your attention to detail is appreciated. If there are specific details or topics you'd like us to cover in future videos, feel free to share your suggestions!
Yes, according to Fleming Yachts: "On longer passages, Fleming owners typically cruise at a very economical speed of 10 knots, where the typical fuel burn is slightly more than 10 gph."
@@HarbourMastersTV thanks for the reply. I have just sold my BERTRAM 46. She is 46 years old. She has Detroits that SIPPED fuel. It was impossible to accurately judge consumption. I calculated it by how much fuel I had to put back in after a trip, but conservatively, with generator running, she too ran at an average of 10 +/- gph per engine, cruising at between 10 and 14 knots. So the Fleming is, as you say, VERY economical. I will keep a close watch. I am not in the market YET. BUT.......
