A nice interview that attracted my attention because we have "Cloud Nine" a 1997 Fleming 55 #068 and the first things we did after purchase was addressing everything it needed. It sounds like our prep has been like Bernadette and Robin's. The best to all of you in your continued cruising,
Fantastic video. Thanks to Bernadette and Robin for sharing their story. And the microphone on him made a HUGE difference to the quality of the interview. 🙏
There are lots of life lessons in the statements that are shared in this video. So many are very true and so many are true about constant adventure. As we all have our abilities or inabilities to adventure on different levels many of us can get the concepts and understand how good it feels to unplug and unwind! You do not have to buy an expensive boat, or condo, or beach house to do any of these things, everything can be done on a small or comfortable level. As was stated you just have to be open to the journey and be flexible. 😁😁😁😁
Stunning!....great video, makes me miss our boat so much.....thanks for letting us live vicariously through your adventures........ and by the way Georgian Bay never looks like that!....lol
Great video as always. You folks convey the wonders as well the trials of the lifestyle. Keep it up, even though you are living a great dream there is always the possibility of a scary nightmare once in a while. But I guess that makes it all so interesting. I wish you fair winds and calm seas in the future.
Met Bernadette and Robin in Belhaven, NC this past weekend. What a great couple and that Fleming 55 is an absolutely beautiful yacht!! I really enjoy the channel and hope to join you in the boating lifestyle in a few years.
Hello Shel and Cindy..just wanted to say it was great meeting you to at the outlet mall..it was like meeting two celebrities.. 😊..looking forward to your next video..
Great video. Thanks to The crew of the Blessed for sharing their experience. A lot of what they mentioned really shares our experience. Hope to meet them one day. Jim & Jen. M/V Cetus.
Great video. A maiden voyage of 1500 miles ?? Nobody told them this was a bit too much for a 'maiden voyage' ? My god, we were already impressed with ourselves when we did 300 nm as a maiden voyage. 😀 But a Fleming is also our dream boat, still hoping we will come across 'the one' on one day in the future.
We did similar when we took delivery of C-Shel II. We went from New Bern, NC to Ontario, Canada. The Fleming is a dream boat of ours as well. Hope we see each other on the water on our Flemings in the future. Cheers!
11 minute mark, whats ones thing you can offer to those interested in embracing this style of life, first have alot of excess cash you can depart w easily and 2 you gotta just love the water and be ready to overcome obstacles all the time for sure. Cool video. Where are you guys now?

In these interviews I want to know things that are impolite to ask: how much did your boat cost? How much do you pay for insurance? How much did your engine repair cost? Your guest talked about the extraordinary cost … but getting to the nitty gritty is what is not often asked. Still you two are amazing
We get it, but if we asked those kinds of questions, no one would want to be interviewed. We tailor the questions to be open enough that if they want to share that kind of info, they can, if not, that is ok too. We appreciate you commenting. Cheers!
Gananoque… I love the town. We have vacationed there many times. The Mrs, prefers the Gananoque Inn and I enjoyed some poutine at Muskie Jake’s. We hope to visit again sometime this summer. My son caught his first Northern off of the Admiralties and I recall the time we discovered Half Moon bay while exploring the islands on a break after a few hours of fishing for Bass.
We have at times been more frequent, but over the years our career has taken priority from time to time. This is one of those times. Stay tuned, more videos coming. We will continue these cruiser interviews as well.
Great video! Any idea which engines his Fleming 55 has? I know a lot of them had the same 3208 CATs as yours, but his sounds like a newer model, so I doubt it.
Bernadette and Robin, thank you for sharing your story. Would you buy the F55 again or would you hold out to get the F65? On the fence on if we get the 55 will I be regretful.
Hi Tom, the short answer is YES, but if I had the ability, I would opt for a 58. It's significantly larger than the 55 in all ways, yet, you're not trying to find space, lifts, etc for a 70' boat. However, the 55 checks all of our boxes and more.
We are not on any posting schedule. We have careers and a lot of times it does get in the way of us making videos. We have videos coming, so stay tuned.
Inspiring! Hopefully someday. Have a bit of financing to do, and then convince spouse to love the islands more than her horses.. tough sell, but maybe… Donate for a a Dream
The engine repair costs were somewhat inflated because we decided to take the mains back to ZERO maintenance timeline. So things with age, we replaced. Could we have done it cheaper by simply rebuilding items, yes.

WE HAD OVER 22 TRIPS TO THE BAHAMAS AND HAVE SUCH GREAT MEMORIES OVER THE YEARS BUT WE CHERISH THE MEMORIES. !!!
Love it!

@@SearchingforCShels That would be awesome, travelling around in a Fleming 55 or 65 meeting up with like minded sailors. 👍

True true. The boat is stored for a few months and are in Canada for the hurricane season.
Beautiful yacht. Definitely inspires me not to wait.

I miss these guys videos my favorite was them going dowN from Canada to Bahamas
Sorry we are slow making videos. More to come but sometimes our careers get in the way. 😉

Thanks. I believe this one has Cummins.
@@SearchingforCShels correct, we have Cummins 450 Diamonds. We are, in fact, the last hull made before the switch over to commonrail.

Fleming yachts are the Rolls Royce of motor yachts. And that is what Rolls Royce says!
A beautiful Fleming...the only boat that I would trade our Tolly 44 CPMY for.
The only boat? 😉
What Happened to your channel no new videos ?

Oh if it were just so easy.
All it takes is desire and money
I bet Sheldon was drooling all over the Fleming. For many years he has talked about them. Lol. Cheers you two! B&T.
Yes, the boat needed a thorough cleaning after we left. 😂
I am from NJ and grew up in Long Branch which is about 15-20 minutes from Sandy Hook. Yes, the Hook can get nasty. But Sandy was the worst.
Great video guys. I know its nine of my business, but I wish the gentleman would have mentioned the cost to fix his 2 engine issues. Stay safe!
