Very durable, stable boat, the fact that they sailed one of these thousands of nautical miles, under real ocean conditions proves the seaworthiness of this brand, no flashy design, but real world usefulness, my hats off to these people for building a quality product that they back 100%.
The more I learn about the Fleming boats (or should I rather say „small ships“?) the more I fall in love with them. Thanks, Cpt. steve for this extensive review!
Of all the imaginary yachts I want, I always come back to Fleming and this is a gorgeous boat, although I can’t see a reason for the conjoined crew cabins. Great review as always from Capt. Steve, cannot wait for the 85 enclosed flybridge review when that debuts, would love to see one with country kitchen with dark satin wood.
Go to NautiStyles channel and look for the 3 part series on the Allseas92 2 30 minute episodes to show you all the features and then a 1 hour sea trials episode. I love fleming yachts and have watched every video about them I could find. But then I saw the Allseas 92 and fell in love with it. Of course at $9 million dollars its a “when I win the lottery” boat but hey I can dream lol Anyway it’s worth watching those 3 videos so check them out. Cheers
I am fairly certain that a buyer can request that the connecting door not be put in if they want to remove the interior, room connecting option. The door is not structural making its removal simple. Like you, my wife and I always return to the Fleming after perusing other beautiful options. And there are some other gems out there to explore. The Fleming's hull speed is a big plus. Having two matching engines is a big plus. Tony Fleming's on-the-water journey offers unparalleled proof of the Fleming's capabilities in a wide range of conditions. I think I was sold when Tony swapped out the two engines to better its overall performance. For me, that spoke volumes to his/their commitment to pursuing excellence. The list of equipment swap outs and upgrades before and after the engines is staggering in that particular video that Tony showed.
Incredible yacht! Everything looked overbuilt but the house batteries. AGM? Why not LiFePo4 (Lithium iron phosphate)? Why haven’t builders switched to 24v or 48v storage systems and dropping one of the two generators? The mains can charge the house batteries while underway if needed. With the correct setup the entire yacht could run on battery power at anchor. A Bering 77 can go 3 days on full battery’s and some solar to help out. Keep up the great videos!
Its been between Nordhavn and Fleming for my choice in my next boat. Capt. Steve your video's are the best on the internet and from someone who is coming from a Amel 54 to the Trawler market, your insight is much appreciated!!
TOP NOTCH Trawler Yacht what a BLESSING it is 2 B on one of these Yachts !! BEAUTIFUL and 2 me everything PERFECT in place !! Have a Nice and Safe Ride !!
I would long for the day when trying to decide if a Fleming, Salene or GB Elution will be my pick for some long range runs. Really no comparison to Nordhaven but for me having that speed as an option is important. Fleming is about as nice as it gets for someone who likes traditional looks but mixed with a lot of experience in real world needs and technology.
I can't remember which boat manufacturer does it, but for the hydraulics, one feature I have seen that I really like is putting the pumps on the generators using a clutch instead of on the engines. That way if an engine fails, you aren't without hydraulics.
Modern technology has really made cruising in a yacht more comfortable. My house has less than a hundredth of the complexity of the systems on this yacht. Of course it also costs about a hundred times more than my house. O well, a person can dream!
Always love the reviews and the occasional slip up. Not sure you need a watermaker for raw water at 1800 gals a day? But 1500 a day for fresh is awesome, lol seriously another great review
I thought that there was at least one Fleming 78 that was originally built with a bulbous bow. The boat in this video does not appear to have one, would this be a factory option or am I mistaken?
I just want a great working galley and white leather furnitures, with lighter wood, master bedroom with windows, no black counters, big back porch for fishing, 2 engine, and stabilizer to start with..
Flemings are always impressive as "proper" blue water cruisers. I would feel very safe in one. I just wish they were better looking, particularly in the salon. I want a comfortable couch in an area that feels like a luxurious house for that sort of money.
The BoatTEST numbers are correct. The problem is that when you look at gallons that are only carried to the 100th place, this is not nearly precise enough to get an accurate range number. Look at the LPH and NMPL, which is a much finer measurement, and you will see, that the numbers come out to virtually what we have - the difference being in rounding errors. Our computer is programed to make these measurements has precise as realistically possible. -BoatTEST
@@BoatTEST thanks but I'm still not understanding how you can have the same efficiency at the two speeds in terms of mpg but be able to go 700 miles farther? On your website, the test results show 0.4 NMPG at 11 knots for 1,102 NM range and 0.7 NMPG at 8.7 knots for 1,804 NM range. So basically the NMPG at 8.7 knots shown in the video is not correct.
@@brianstone3972 Thank you Brian and Mark! You are correct, we made an error when the video was made and put in the graphic the wrong number for the NMPG at 8.7 knots. It should have been .7 instead of .4 which obviously can’t be the same as the fuel burn at 11 knots. This was a proof reading error for which we apologize. Thanks for bringing it up to our attention. We will fix this on our website right away. ;) We love it when the community comes together. Kind Regards, BoatTEST
Hey Steve, nice job. Although, stop saying “hot water heater”. They’re “cold”water heaters - more commonly known as “water heaters”. If the water was hot it wouldn’t need heating. The only folks who use hot water heaters are on aircraft carriers making steam for catapult launches.
I wonder if the top deck roof could be lowered so that this boat could be used for the Great USA Loop. A 5 foot draught sounds like it could just do it. Does anyone know what the air draft would be to the top of the fly deck windscreen. To do the Erie Canal you need to get under a 17 foot bridge.
What an absolute porker this boat is. 4x the fuel burn of an elling e6, down to 3 times. This is a tired, old style GRP construction. Time to get with the times and modern, lighter construction.
Very durable, stable boat, the fact that they sailed one of these thousands of nautical miles, under real ocean conditions proves the seaworthiness of this brand, no flashy design, but real world usefulness, my hats off to these people for building a quality product that they back 100%.
Love the Flemings. They're beautiful, luxurious and symmetrical. Their engineering is over the top and Tony Fleming is a class act.
The more I learn about the Fleming boats (or should I rather say „small ships“?) the more I fall in love with them. Thanks, Cpt. steve for this extensive review!
Thank you Capt. Steve! My father was right when he told me that this is the yacht to buy before his passing! R.I.P. Captain Fred Brown!
She is a beauty! Thanks for sharing!
GREAT SHOW...EXTREMELY DETAILED....FAST.....
Thank you so much for the detailed range breakdown! Much appreciated.

Con crew cabins for grandkids.

Captain Steve, thoroughly enjoy your boat reports.
Beautiful boat .. Flemings are always impressive, as well as Capt. Steve's impeccable presentations.
Holy crap Captain Steve talk about a detailed showing of a yacht this one - this showing is incredible. Very well done
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wow, finally THE TEST.
Thank you very much. I'll be waiting for the next videos on this marvel.
Captain Steve is my favourite presenter!
This boat has such a beautiful interior ! The owner and Fleming did great. Toning down the teak looks outstanding.
cant wait for vids of the Fleming 85 :-)
That's a dream boat!!!! Amaizing!!!!
As always, great insight and information. What a wonderful yacht.
Capt Steve gives the best reviews of all. I am saving for a Fleming 55, but I still like to look at the big boats. Thanks for vid.
What a wonderful small ship!!! I can’t wait until you’re able to review their new 85’ vessel! 😳😉👍🏻
You've convinced me, I'll take it.

If only. The world's perfect yachts- Fleming.
Truly a go anywhere boat…

Well done captain and God bless you all
TONY,, KNEW HOW BUILT A BOAT,, HARD BELIEVE,,
This video just reminded me to go buy a powerball ticket tonight
Literally been waiting for this one.
Couple things I would change in the pilot house and about the crew quarters but thats about it.
That my favourite boat ⛵⛵🌊
It's a magnificent boat. Alas a nice dream.
Fleming and Nordhavn have to be my favorites
Thank you. Amazing.
A real boat test would include a performance test in rough offshore conditions .
I would long for the day when trying to decide if a Fleming, Salene or GB Elution will be my pick for some long range runs. Really no comparison to Nordhaven but for me having that speed as an option is important. great review thank you... Beautiful boat... love it
Lovely boat l love to own one but are there dear to buy cruise around the world l will love it thank you cheers mate
Fleming are probably the only yachts that would entice me to give up my sails. Come on lottery!
I'm playing that same Lotto and for the same reasons.
I can't remember which boat manufacturer does it, but for the hydraulics, one feature I have seen that I really like is putting the pumps on the generators using a clutch instead of on the engines. That way if an engine fails, you aren't without hydraulics.

Do you know if Fleming did away with the beautiful cabinets they had before on your past video? I loved those.
Very nice crew cabins on a boat that size
Great videos but can’t seem to find a video on the Fleming 78 boning system.
What a great boat to take on the Northwest Passage. It's only 5500 miles. Just trying to figure where to top off.
Lots of places plus you could bring along Fuel cells
I noticed the Navy Jack on the bow. Filmed on a Sunday?
Modern technology has really made cruising in a yacht more comfortable. My house has less than a hundredth of the complexity of the systems on this yacht. Of course it also costs about a hundred times more than my house. O well, a person can dream!
Steering wheel? Have we left all nautical nomenclature behind?
Now, that is a yacht.
Hi Captain Steve what sort of boat would you suggest for the North Atlantic
Always love the reviews and the occasional slip up. Not sure you need a watermaker for raw water at 1800 gals a day? But 1500 a day for fresh is awesome, lol seriously another great review

Great video! I find it interesting that people call a water heater a Hot water heater. It is actually a cold water heater. hahaha
why no tour of the guest cabins ?
Price?
what is the capacity of the fuel tank?
I just want a great working galley and white leather furnitures, with lighter wood, master bedroom with windows, no black counters, big back porch for fishing, 2 engine, and stabilizer to start with..
Nice
Be still my beating heart!! Wow!!
Well Done
Least talked about the most important parts - the propellers.
Flemings are always impressive as "proper" blue water cruisers. I would feel very safe in one. I just wish they were better looking, particularly in the salon. I want a comfortable couch in an area that feels like a luxurious house for that sort of money.
Capt. Steve, a question. Would you (can you) run this boat on one engine at a time? Would you save fuel or go further?
Hello Al, Yes, you can run on one engine but it will be working harder. Chances are your will actually burn less fuel running on both engines. - BT
Looks to be a typo in the NMPG at 8.7 knots. It is showing the same NMPG as the faster 11 knot cruise but with 700 more NM range?
Just thought the same thing, my calculations says it's 0.67 NMPG at the 8.7 knots.

I think it's been done with a 65, but I have my doubts about this one
The Rolls Royce of vessels.
Прекрасная лодка !!!!! Вот только перевод на русский язык не помешал бы !!!!
Mate, Bare feet with a Sports Jacket 🙂. Put on a pair of Thongs (flipflops) and you'd be an Aussie! Keep up the great work.
At long last the 78
Video quality especially with the audio, editing and filming has really taken a dive. Least Steve had the ‘fancy yacht’ blazer on…
Some weird edits
Lekker man lekker
I wonder of how much a lady like that would cost!
Who could be bothered with all that tech. It’s not necessary and detracts from the simplicity of cruising. Driving a boat isn’t that hard.
This is a door, this is a knob, membranes accessible,............ how dull.

Too bad you are not bright enough to show us the full interior, including master suite
For a yacht like this BoatTest does a “Test” video and also a “Features” video. Look for the “features “ video to see the interior.
