  • In this video, I take on the ultimate DIY challenge by building a 3-meter electric speedboat, inspired by the legendary Riva Aquarama, for my daughter. From design to completion, I document every step of the process, showing how I scaled down the iconic boat design and gave it a modern twist with Minn Kota.
    You'll see:
    photos
of the full DIY build process with detailed steps
Key construction techniques used for the wooden boat hull
    The electric motor installation
If you're a fan of boat building, DIY projects, or just curious about how I turned an idea into reality, you’ll love this video. It's a mix of craftsmanship, engineering, and family fun on the water!

One of the nicer mini electric boats I've seen. Puts my Little Miss Sally to shame...

    Oh wow, that's beautiful!
250 hrs is really good too, you must have worked very efficiently. Lucky captain to have a dad that cares that much. I hope it remains a family heirloom for decades to come.

Great job, a wonderful boat is born. I think, you build this beauty for your own 😁

Thanks for this video. It's been a great inspiration to me. I wanted to build a boat like this for years but always was put back by the enormous build kit and costs involved. This looks doable so I've been studying your video frame by frame. :)

Thanks, it set me back by 2300€ exactly, but it highly depends on your location… I’m happy to help if you need any advice

@@bozidarbilusic Thanks! I plan to make a slightly bigger version (4.5 - 5 m) so that I have more battery space. But it will take a while. I'm copying it to Solidworks so that I have a better view of dimensions and can modify the frames a bit easier.

@@ctrlaltdude great plan, I’d have done the same if I had enough space!

Hello, first of all, I must say, it's a great job. I would like to share the plans of the project or from which source I can get them. I would like to do it too. I would be very happy if you could help me. Thank you very much.

Have you thought about selling the parts as a kit? Maybe you could get the parts laser cut instead; could be a pretty cool sideline/business.

Not really, no… lasercutting would probably speed up the process a bit though
