Gerrard and Hanna imho is the best love story in MTG history. So much happened that strengthened their bond. Gerrard had killed Urza, URZA!, to gain back his love, and was granted unlimited power..only to have to slay a simulacrum of Hanna to defy Yawg. To watch your love die, and then to deal the death stroke a second time is beyond anything anyone should have to do.
I find the story of Huatl and Saheeli pretty sweet, the way they met and all that. Also like the fact that there's no drama, no love triangles, no enemies made lovers.
My favorite tragic love story in MTG is Nicol Bolas and himself. He had power, and wanted to share it with his brother whom he thought was dead only to be insulted by that very brother and then for that same brother to conspire with many other planeswalkers to bring him low. Lol said like that it makes Bolas seem sympathetic
Nissa and Chandra Jace and Varaska love them both and hopes to see both couples again in the story and god did wisemen spurned many many people glade it was fixed
Maybe this is a hot take. But I think the thing with Chandra claiming that she loved Gideon. Wasn't and isn't unsalvageable beyond just ignoring it. They could have made her bi or even demisexual and have to deal with the very complicated emotions that that can lead to.

Like sure having a few is good and inclusion is good, but Huatli+Saheeli, Tomik+Ral, Chandra+Nissa, Halana+Alena, all have happened in the last 2 years. None of them have quite the same charm as something like Jace and Vraska, or Urza and Kayla
No offense to anybody, but I don't personally know anyone who is interested in M:TG for it's love stories. Nice effort, Seiben, but let's get back to preventing the big baddies from wrecking everything, ok?
