For me, Paintstorm Studio is a great software app if your goal is to create digital art that resembles a painting be it oil or watercolor painting. I already abandoned it years ago but I am going to get back to it since Clip Studio Paint has become what many have feared: being subscription based. Also, one of the things I like about Paintstorm Studio is that their devs are responsive to their customers. Something that most others tend to neglect.
@@ArtOfWesGardner yeah. I will still continue to use CSP. Though I wonder if I will still upgrade for the Ex version considering on what happened. Anyways, since the devs of Paintstorm Studio often respond very quickly and since I plan on doing manga, I wanted to try to request for the devs to make Paintstorm more accessible for those aspiring to make manga art.
If im not mistaken there is even an iPad app for paintstorm studio. I also think that realistic paint studio is done by either the same person or like their sibling or something?
Oh rad, I didn't know it came out on mobile! Yeah, I've seen their Realistic Paint Studio (it's the same team, I think you're right!) and it looks neat, maybe I should give it a shot?
Is it any good for watercolor? I downloaded a trial. Didn't like the water colors, but there are so many settings, I'm not sure I should rule it out yet.
Hey Gurujot! So to be fair, I 100% have never used the watercolor brushes so I can't speak on them, as I usually stick with the bristle brushes, blenders, and palette knives. I think for great watercolors, Rebelle is your best bet, with ArtRage and Corel Painter being up there as well.
@@ArtOfWesGardner I've been playing with Kritas RGBA and impasto oil brushes. I think they're what I need. Plus I like Kritas watercolors. I feel like I'm able to get that traditional look. Thanks for replying.
man I just bought paintstorm today to test it out it feels so snappy compared to alot of other drawing softwares i've tried.

Totally agree! And it's a damn shame about CSP :( I may buy the perpetual license of 2.0, but no way will I subscribe for "feature updates".

Lighting was a bit rough in the intro, and I was at full "tired 3am dad" levels, sorry about that! Enjoy the show!
It was 10 bucks during Black Friday!
or 2 for $ 15 🤗
That's insanely good, at $20 it already feels like a steal!
Hahahah that's insane!!
cool idea for sure doing the same work in 4 apps.

@@gurujot951 The best for watercolours appears to be Ashampoo Rebelle
Paintstorm is a memory hog
Runs in 60FPS unlike the other software right? I believe that is also why it feels good to draw in.
Am I wrong, or there was a time with being this program free?
