    Thanks for sharing what a roof top tent can handle in a snow storm, so many out there only show roof top tent in the 🌞 and all happy, this what I need to see before I buy a roof top tent ⛺️

    For someone who's gonna be living outta of a backpack for more than 10+ years with 2 people and a dog avg male height, mainly dealing with rain and some winds what tent would you recommend as a very avid camper. Thanks in advance if you respond.

      Honestly depending on the size you want any mid to high quality tent will do but I would say a crucial thing to do would be to get a large lightweight backpacker style tarp to put above the tent to prevent inevitable moisture from seeping in from touching the wet walls of the rain covered tent as well as providing some shelter from the rain when entering or exiting the tent

    Dude, your dog is useless if it did not hear or detect anyone around within 20 feet. 😂

    Nice truck tent. Are there any issues with the overhang going loose or wobbly with load or wind? Say, I recognize the masked guy in the trees, and he looks like my noisy neighbor, harmless dude.

      🤣 yea he’s a little strange! Thank you! No issues at all even with 2 adults with 2 large dogs and I haven’t heard anything from others either.

    Great video. Question: Do you ever worry about mold on or in your RTT during winter when it’s harder to dry it out?

    • @AtlasAdventures
      @AtlasAdventures  9 місяців тому +2

      Thank you! It crosses my mind but I open it up and air it out when I get home and haven’t had any issues yet

      Awesome. I’m just worried about it not being warm enough at home to dry out the RTT in winter.

    Will the doubling of acreage (+162,000 acres) for the Michigan National Guard, Camp Garyling affect your access to areas you would like to camp? Lots of pristine wilderness will no longer be accessible.

      I just looked this up and I shouldn’t bother me but it looks like it hasn’t been approved and has a lot of opposition

    • @steve8421
      @steve8421 Рік тому

      @Atlas Adventures I'm glad it doesn't apply to you. I hope they don't approve as it's too much land to give away from public access.

    Love the calmness of your trips, and of course love Atlas, but I also love the metal/wooden (?) insert you use to seal up the truck bed when all your gear is packed in. It's kinda genius. Assuming its DIY? Any problems with noise or rattling on the highway?

    • @AtlasAdventures
      @AtlasAdventures  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you and yes it is DIY! Mostly used as a theft deterrent but no, Ive never heard it make any noise 👍
