    Remarkable rig, man! I was really following Topo Toppers and super pacific for the last 6 months. I was so close to pulling the trigger for Topo, but as we were going back to the parking lot my wife saw Pack Out Campers booth. The wife was sold to gas strut-assisted floors and bike mounts and wide windows all around. I'm so glad we went PNW overland expo. Picking up our camper next month.

    I must be missing something, what’s the rush ? We go camping to relax and enjoy the surroundings and our equipment. So let’s just say it takes 5 min, or 20 min, or 1 hr to setup, so what, that’s part of the enjoyment and experience of camping, do you really have a higher level of relaxation if you can sit in your camp chair 10 minutes sooner ? Does the first camper in a group to be “setup “ win ?

    • @NoRoadNoProblemAdventures
      @NoRoadNoProblemAdventures  8 днів тому

      It really depends on how often you go camping. If it’s just a couple of times or a few times a year, you can take your time setting up camp. But if you’re going every week like me, trust me, even 5 minutes counts.

    Great build. I have one question. Being an old IT and Music guy, I love that you used rack mount drawers. Never thought of that. Can you share the manufacture and size of the rack itself. If it was a wall mount, did you tie into the truck, if it was a four post box, how did you secure it. GREAT IDEA.

    Pretty amazing man would love to have that set up. Just curious as I'm just learning about overlanding. Is there a reason why many choose the rooftop tents over a slide in type camper which many already have the things you need? I'm just researching and looking into getting something going for myself and my wife to take few day to possibly weeklong trips. We have and live in an rv already for 10 years but want to start overlanding and start another setup for shorter trips. Again, great set up man. Really impressive.

    • @NoRoadNoProblemAdventures
      @NoRoadNoProblemAdventures  5 місяців тому

      Thanks man! So here is my opinion: slide in campers are much much heavier and top heavy so they aren’t ideal if you want to do extreme offroading. Of course my set up doesn’t have the same comfort level as the slide in camper but I can explore more places with this setup. So that’s the main reason I went with wedge style camper.

    I’ve watched so many of these videos from other people, I just didn’t expect much. But you took the Topo Topper - a good platform - and really made it your own. The bed folding up is a must. The first aid drawer is well stocked. Like that. You’ve crammed a lot into a small space & made it work for you, which is key. And your armory…very nice. I was slightly expecting something based on the American flag box…I knew something was coming. But not to that degree. Awesome! The emergency bug out bag is important. Do you have some rations/first aid in that as well? Great job. I’m originally from Santa Barbara, so not surprised good stuff is coming from the SB/Ventura area. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

As far as the inside built, I would say the only experience part is the drawers which are about $90 each which since they are steel and aluminum but you can basically use any wooden drawers and the cost will be way more cheaper. The cabinet where I keep my food and other stuff is pretty inexpensive. I have all the links to the items in the description.

    Nice build, I’ve been thinking about doing a similar set up in my Dodge Ram with Topo Toppers Badlander.
    What server rack did you buy to mount your drawers or did you mount them to a wooden frame?

      Thanks bro! It’ll look even better on a ram because it has larger bed. I mount them on a wood. The links are in the description

    You might be the best armed overlander I've seen. I thought I carried some firepower but nothing close to yours. Well played sir.

    I don't mind touring my Rig but i would never show firearms and locations to the public. Very nice Rig and video btw.

    I can only mirror what others have said. I don't think I have ever seen such a well thought, detailed, yet compact build out for a topper. One question, how do you like the tailgate ladder. I have struggled with a solution and considered those in the past. Would love to hear how it works when packing it up, unfolding it and how easy it is to use without any handrail. Thanks again for your contribution, Bill PS What brand ladder?

      Thank you so much! Honestly the ladder is awesome. It’s a most have in my opinion. Very sturdy, lightweight and compact. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/dp/B00180UVGO/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_DM23D0GA5GJRKAGX3JFB?linkCode=ml2&tag=noroadnoprobl-20

    how much does a setup like this cost? This is a very well thought out setup and id love to replicate something like this. I'm sure it would take time to gather the things but im curious what to expect for overall cost estimates. thanks

      Thank you!! Honestly I don’t have a total cost. The camper alone is about 8K and I probably spent another 5K for the stuff in there.

    Really nice setup, well done. Wish somehow the top of the camper door and tent swung out instead of just lifting up though, would keep you from having to duck under. A minor thing but my first thought when you opened it.
