- A really interesting theory on the orange princess i thought i would share with you all! Let me know your take on this theory/cut content!

My theory is that some time in between the Industrial castle and the Wizard castle take off, the orange princess escaped and replaced herself with a clown in order to become the pink knight
thats actually a very good theory
Clever but how would that work when compared to the purple knight aka the blacksmith (he doesnt appear at the forge if in use) maybe its a body double maybe
how would this make sense considering pinks magic

i think not as when you play as the pink knight she still appears
I can’t believe they had the audacity to leave the orange princess’ story at that and not develop her any further
but out of it, we got one of the best pictures ever to grace the internet...
I love castle crashers and I think it's amazing that there are still people making content about this game today

I have seen several theories. My headcanon is that the Orange Princess always had some form of latent magic powers. Why else would the Necromancer and the Evil Wizard take her again after the Prince's defeat. It has already been shown that they don't care for Red, Green or Blue, so why would they care for Orange. Simple, they wanted to experiment on her. The other 3 princesses were decoys, diversions for them to scheme. That's also why they took the crystal, to see if that would do something to Orange and it somehow empowered her but also - possibly due to the evil wizard - temporarily paralyzed her. After she recovered, she decided to use her new powers to prank the knights, only letting the King - her father - in on it.
-Orange princess was killed and turned into a clown
-Pink Knight has magic powers with animals that look like the ones at the ending when you kiss the princess
So I have this theory, what if Pink Knight is the reincarnation of the Orange princess? What if the evil wizard killed the princess so he could still have won upon death, but irony struck as she reincarnated into Pink Knight to defeat him and save the world

Wouldn’t that mean that the orange princess would be kissing her sisters.
Plus I want to ask. For your theory to make sense does it mean that the orange princess soul gets send back in time to be reincarnated or is it like an alternate timeline with similar sequence of events.
Tricksy the clown is the pink knight and i believe the orange princess is the clown. She was obviously caught unprepared with her "sisters" so she couldn't defend herself. The king also didn't seem shocked that his daughter hid her clown face or revealed it to the knight😂.

@@Reckerless it is true you could see her face partially during the adventure but it can be justified that at the end she put on make up to make the clown face to celebrate the kingdoms victory which is why for the first time the princess wears a veil that covers her whole face to hide her surpise. I've heard that the developers intended a sort of fake out death for the orange princess to motivate the knights into the finally conflict using the painters ability to paint a fake corpse like the one in his painting.
i like to think that the orange princess was doing her clown make up at the end of the game just to prank the knights
ok so something to note the intention behind the purple haired princess is that we can’t see her face the entire game. the simple reason to hide her face the whole time was to have the funny reveal that she’s a clown. she was always a clown bcz that what the devs intended from the start of the game. only reason the left the stabbed princess painting in the game is bcz they had already made them and thought hey why not. that’s my take on it is that yes it is in fact just a gag.

however i do feel like when u weren't showing pngs during an explanation the back off barbarian shouldn't have been blurred and should've only got blurred when you put images of the princess up

Yo I know what happen the painters color of his paint brush was purple like the orange princess hair and during his death said it must be something he ate so probably the painter ate the orange princess
My theory on the orange princess is that the industrial prince took her life out of angry on accident when we beat him in the boss fight, and the sound she made when she was thrown on the crystal was her last breath before she passed, and due to that, the evil wizard picked up on this, and was pissed at the prince, so he didn’t let him on the crystal and he wanted to kill but didn’t have time because we were coming towards him, and at the end of the game before we got into the flying castle all instance of her not moving proves it, she already died, and in the boss fight as well she doesn’t even move like what Reckless said

This was a really cool video! I was curious if you could eventually give a spotlight to the modding scene that's been growing for Castle Crashers? I've seen a lot of cool stuff coming from them. From what I know, it used to be impossible to mod it.
atm i dont plan on playing with mods but i imagine i will do in the future, i have seen some of the mods and they are awesome

My theory has always been that she was driven to absolute insanity by the painter and his paintings….we all know what his paintings consist of….. but it would also explain the perfect clown make up and stuff as well. She may have also just let the painter paint on her face because of well….. who knows….. my real question is…. Where did he come from in the frist place?

Great video, I’ve been wondering why the puppet dragon is in the end of the game in the cyclops fight i don’t know if it was ever explained
the skeleton of the dragon is also in the room so i imagine the dragons corpse was brought to the room with the sock for some reason

I have a kinda wild take on this so here we go:
-Wizard orders Painter to kill the Orange Princess for the whole "last laugh" thing
-Painter does so but doesn't realize he didn't actually finish the job
-Under the idea of the princess being dead, they replace her with the clown
-Orange princess (Who isn't actually dead) hides herself in the pile of corpses in the necromancer fight
-Knowing that she would most likely be caught by the guards if she went out, she takes the dead necromancers armor and weapon after the fight
-after the player returns to the castle and gets clowned on (literally), they use some crystal magic to go back in time to stop the princess from being killed (although they don't know she wasn't)
-with how powerful the wizard is, he senses the players strength and powers up his minions equally (this starts insane mode)
-the princess, still disguised as the necromancer also goes back in time and meets the player at the last point she was supposedly seen alive, the industrial castle, thus necromancer is unlocked there (this also explains why you can fight the necromancer as necromancer)
But thats just a theory. A GAME THEORY

i have a theory
what if all this was a prank by the evil wizard but he took it too far and stole the kings crystal, and kidnapped all four princesses to test the four knights strength, and the final one was apart of his prank, but placed himself as a test, before being "killed" he did all of this as a big jester, and he was working with the king and the orange princess, seeing if the knights are willing to do anything for their king.
a lot of people died for that prank 💀💀

My theory is that the orange princess we see was always a stunt double to protect the pink knight from being captured during public appearances, and the pink knight is taking back her role as the orange princess at the end of the game. Wether this be because she has no use for the stunt double anymore or because she’s dead I can’t be sure

Pink knight = orange princess
I love this theory. Maybe the Painter was an old sadistic king trying to recreate his kingdom (its a stretch) with the Necromancer being his chamion knight (still a stretch). Agreeing to help steal the crystal for the wizard in exchange for power to bring the dead back and create new life. Maybe the painter used his magic to change the princess after killing her to fit his kingdom. "Shes always crying, what kingdom has a crying princess? I know ill make her happy. LITERALLY!" maybe after everything, the Orange Princess decides with her new found abilities, the Oink Knight was more auitable.
All just theories tho and the fact that they still got us like this after all these years, truly love this game

I always thought the reason she looked like that is because her face gets messed up i mean she literally gets dragged on her face.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure the main reason on why she changed from a princess to a clown so quickly is simply bc of magic. We see that in the world of castle crashers, you can develop your own and unique type of power. Like how the knights can use electricity, fire, ice, poison, etc. But that's just my guess
My theory is that the clown was supposed to represent a possibility that this clown is an imposter and the joke really is on YOU because they still have the orange princess! They gave you a decoy to make you stop chasing them and it WORKED! thats why the game had nothing after that, I thought it was a cliffhanger, a lead up to a potential sequal in the future.

In my theory before the war started in Castle Crashers I think the orange princess switch before The war started because she could be a ran away princess also she looks like a youngest princess

Theory: The Orange Princess was a clown and was sleeping throughout the final battle and basically she ain't dead and she just forgot her makeup or something (kinda serious) (just my theory) (also I think the Pink Knight isn'tthe Orange Princess).
