This podcast is unbelievable, I’ve been waiting for a podcast like this for ages. No one else will talk about stuff like this and it’s effecting men daily
This podcast has helped me massively!!! Iv been a sesh monster for most of my life 15 years. I thought i could never get away from it! I was at breaking point of ending my journey here. 31 DAYS SOBER 💪🏻 thanks for this man 💚
10th of Jan 2020, I was shipped off to a Rehab called sanctuary lodge, Taner was the manager there, I spent 6 weeks there. They broke me down, rebuilt me, and saved my life. Since then I have got 3 years sober under my belt through Cocaine Anonymous, got a happy partner, 2 kids and a great job. Taner if you see this me and my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Daniel.. Great guest mate. Look forward to listening to this one. Love you all.
I watch these all the time, I’ve suffered for the past 3/4 years with drug and alcohol abuse since my nan passed!!!! I’m watching all of these and inspired to keep going clean. Early stages atm…. But thank you!
I adore Taner, known him since our teens. But recently saw him for unconscious mind therapy and my whole outlook on life has changed. I'm not a drinker, never done drugs, but my mental health has been rock bottom and the way I think negatively and had that feeling that you talk about. It's all very similar. I finally feel like I can start moving forward and visualise amazing things to come. Highly recommended this way of thinking. Good luck to you to Dan moving forward x
I did treatment 3 years ago. Tanner was running the private treatment centre I was in. Very knowledgable fella. Pleasure spending 28 days locked up under his watch! Thanks Dan, thanks Tanner!
Hi mate, met you in marbella for a picture few years ago for a pic you seemed a nice fella I was also this wreckhead never thought you'd be this guy spreading positive vibes alcohol is poison and damaged my life also now I'm on the same journey as you 12 days sober 🤝 I'm watching these everyday as motivation thanks so much 🙏
Incredible listen and as a woman, I relate a LOT to everything discussed on this one. I have realised Taner was a couple of years above me at school, so it is good to see how well he has done for himself and how he has turned his life around.
Addiction - 'I' need to feel 'Good' at all costs and once I feel good, I have an inherent want to feel even better! One is too many, a thousand never enough. Great pod and cast. Well done chaps 👏🏼
An over riding obsessive thought to change the way you feel. That is the absolute best definition of it I've ever heard. Been drinking everyday for 7 years, im desperate to stop. this channel bangs.
32/34 minutes - What a great point! Great podcast this - 16 months in myself and life really does just keep on getting better and better. A bit like you I try not to preach but when you start to see/feel the benefits it is hard not tot try and spread the message.
Great stuff again! Such a positive start to my Monday morning! Feeling charged for the day ahead, much appreciation for you getting this out there and helping myself and so many others! Great work Dan!
Just wanna say thanks for these weekly podcasts really look forward to seeing who the next guests are. Three weeks sober for me now going strong . To be completely honest didn’t really know your story Dan but watched your James English interview this week . You should be extremely proud of what you’ve come through and what your doing to help others now thanks again bro 👊🏻
This is some of the realest shit, loving this podcast. Resonates with me so much and got me to think about my behaviour and how I've been dealing or not dealing with my own shit. I'm taking the plunge to knock the ale on the head. Spent years thinking it's everyone's else's misunderstanding of me so why stop but me + ale and ADHD is a recipe for disaster and its taken me 36 years to be honest with myself. Keep doing what you're doing mate you're helping a lot of fucked up fellas like me.
Such a powerful positive pod cast we need this in schools and work places I think everyone would get so much out of this..I'm 14 year's sober today and what a way to start my gratitude..keep up the podcasts.
As a young guy ..whilst alot of your podcasts content isn't relatable, alot of it is! I really love it though - great show, Dan. Thanks for putting this out there it really makes all the difference.
These podcasts are brilliant, I’ve learnt a lot about myself watching them and started to re-evaluate how I deal with certain situations, wouldn’t say i was an addict but most definitely got an unhealthy relationship/coping mechanism with alcohol. I’ll definitely be watching the next one 👌
'Every 17 year old thinks he knows how to drive until he has his first lesson'. Getting help has such negative connotations, getting lessons or training would make it sound a lot more normal lol. Another naughty episode mate 👍
@@menacetosobrietypodcast Beginning of sobriety is difficult, but I think you are on the right path definitely, and also very brave by doing the podcast, but maybe that is just the right thing for you. Guests have been good and addiction among people is surely similar as kinda same topics and issues are talked here in finland also!
@@menacetosobrietypodcast the only thing I’d say is Dan needs to stop apologising about preaching, at the end of the day it’s a podcast about sobriety if people don’t get that from the name before they click on it fuck knows 😂 this is not in anyway a dig at all, just saying as he’s doing it most of not all the episodes so far! Been a fan of dapper from the old vine days and will continue to be one 👍🏻 love what you lads are doing keep up the good work ❤️💪🏻🇬🇧
Another interesting one mate, love hearing this guys take on things 👍 Just a thought, could you think bout changing the uploads to a Fri night? As we all know that’s the worst time when it’s easy to cave eh..go onnit and just say F-ck it! Fri night uploads keep your mind busy eh 🧠 (Hope your daughters are feeling better mate, thanks again and keep doing what your doing) 🤝

Only criticism I have I have is you’re talking too much over your guest… kinda defeats the point of having one on Other than that congratulations on the podcast, it’s uncanny how much of my own patterns I’ve identified in the stuff spoken about on here
@@menacetosobrietypodcast don’t listen, every episode has been great because of you getting involved, I want to hear you just as much as the guest, it’s interesting because your story and life will be changing as each week goes by as you are getting deeper into sobriety so keep up the good work 🙌🏽
Nah of course dapper is class but he’s right, a podcast host should allow his guest to speak otherwise it somewhat becomes a shouting match a speaking over one another. I’m sure dapper wants this to become bigger and better so little constructive criticism won’t hurt him 💪 but the be end all is the info he’s spreading and the messages he’s portraying are class and helpful!
Ah I’d disagree. It’s just dialect and an form of identity or individualism. Gary vaynerchuck is very successful and from New Jersey gives very respected keynotes and a peaches and courses madly. It’s been brought up as well on his end and he says same. Fuck it. He is who he is. Why change? People either like ya or don’t. Just shout bleep every-time he curses and you’ll not notice. Im Irish so cursing is most definitely a form of communicating in Ireland, the word fuck can be a response to anything! Very versatile word. Ya’d be lost without it in Ireland. 😂
U promoted the culture you are now dissing dapper.and made alot of money from it too I'm struggling to understand this turnaround Goodluck to you ......
What are you struggling to understand mate? I’ll try to help you. My content is a reflection of my life, my life has changed, what would you like me to do exactly, pretend it hasn’t?
Imagine slagging a guy off for getting sober and putting his kids and mrs first. He’s lucky he still has them, some of us couldn’t get clean till it was too late.
