My sister and I would literally fight each other to see who would marry the Goblin King. We watched it on repeat as children. You’re not wrong, nostalgia is a powerful drug, but that’s literally Labyrinth is one of my favs!!
respect the hell out of you for exposing the cringe in your collection 😭 audibly laughed out loud when i saw curious George appear LMAO. anyways big fan of ur content! keep it coming!
Cringe movies in my collection include : 1) He's just not that into you 2) Something Borrowed 3) The Devil wears Prada 4) 17 Again 5) The Age of Adeline
Princess Bride kind of rhyme's with unsubscribe...only kidding dude 😂. We all have our tastes when it comes to movies. Great video. Hope your ex watches it 😅
that was funny as hell when you showed that you have curious george on dvd in your collection. this was a fun watch. there is romantic comedy movies I like that are in my collection. fools rush in, fever pitch, and hitch. I admitted it.
My guy, I do not agree with some of your takes on some of those movies, however, I still respect you and I respect you even more for broadcasting your takes on them. I enjoy most of those movies myself, thank you for sharing!
Here are my thoughts on the films you showed that I've seen 1) The Notebook, I only seen a bit of it & haven't gone back to finish, but what can I say I like chick flicks. It's not about the romance but about the drama of the story. I like human stories. 2) Labyrinth, I gotta say I love this film, I am a fan of David Bowie, I'm 42, so his music as well as artists like him were played frequently in my home by my parents & you tend to at least respect your parents music when you get older. But as I've gotten older I've actually grown to love it more as the adult aspects of the story make it more interesting. For example, Bowie is the stepfather who's with Sarah's actress mother and he's the villain trying to take her away. Things like that I love to see in it's subtlety. 3) The Princess Bride, Surprisingly I wasn't a fan as a kid, like the kid I was disgusted by the love stuff & couldn't get into it. As I got older I was able to look past it. The author actually made it so only the good parts of his book were adapted as there's a lot of filler material. 4) Twilight, speaking as an Anne Rice fan I hated the fact this series got films and Anne never did after the terrible Queen of the Damned adaptation. I watched this film just to give it a try and all I liked was the fight at the end. After trying to watch the sequel I couldn't do it. I have been meaning to watch the Wedding Planner as I do like films like it.
Who hates Princess Bride, 13 Going on 30, Where the Heart Is, and Labyrinth? Also why does it have to be “cringe?” Just cuz romance? Made to detest girl stuff from a young age? You know what’s cringe? Hating on rom coms.
I also own all the Twilight films and they’re cringed as hell but idk I just love the overall vibes it gives especially in terms of comfort/nostalgia The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Kid me loved this movie especially since it included the 3D glasses High School Musical. It’s very Disney’s Grease rip off Spider-Man: Far From Home. Easily the worst Spider-Man film and forced cringe humor dialed up to a 1000
Ok I love The Vow. Js. I love the story, but I guess you have a point about Channing. I need to read the book. I don't understand why Labyrinth is so huge but I didn't watch it growing up so that's probably why. I love Where the Heart is. Probably because my husband and I worked in Walmart for years so it's nostalgic. It is Lifetimey (if that's a word). I like Princess Bride fine but ppl build it up more than what it is imo. I don't hate you for Twilight. At the time it was huge. I feel most watched it at the time even if they lie about it now. Love 13 Going on 30. I've never seen the wedding Planner. LOL I forget about most of these movies now. Thanks for the reminder!
Loved princess bride (watched it maybe 30years ago so...nostalgia...) Samething for labyrinth, but maybe 20years ago. Maybe id rewatch it now and hate it lolll. The rest...my gf would love them, but not my thing at all. Great vud as always.
I have the movie Heartbreakers in my collection because Jennifer Love Hewitt shows a lot of cleavage in it. When I was in my teens, there wasn't high speed Internet or free porn, so I bought cringe worthy movies that had good nudity. Now that I'm past that phase, I got some cringe worthy movies in my collection. Showgirls is another one. Plus I got Batman Forever in there too.
No shame in a straight man liking rom coms, ghosts of girlfriends past and John Tucker must die could be cringe compared to the rest of my collection haha but you know what, f**k em
Dude don’t ever disrespect Jim Henson again :) JK man love ur videos. Keep in kind that it is all puppeteering on the highest level and all that imagination.
I completely agree with Labyrinth and Princess Bride. I feel that way about a bunch of 80s film. They're beloved less because they're great films, but because they spoke to that generation specifically. I missed the 80's by a hair, I don't have that nostalgia, so many films from that era don't resonate with me.
Princess Bride is great. Going to have Inigo Montoya talk to you. Labyrinth I saw as an adult like you. Outside of some good Bowie songs I don’t get it. The rest I haven’t seen, and probably never will. My loss perhaps. You got me thinking has there been a movie titled “Cringe” yet? Challenge for your next video. Movies that have made you cry.
I agree with you on both Labyrinth and Princess Bride just don't get the hype another is the resurgence of The Dark Crystal not a fan. I own Labyrinth (4K) and Dark Crystal (Blu ray) tried to change my opinion after all these years but nope. Saw Princess Bride again recently and for me flat line. As for Twilight saw the first 10 minutes and couldn't go on, but no shame. I like My Best Friends Wedding and Breakfast at Tiffany's which are in my collection as well as quite a few Shirley Temple films, we all have some off kilter films we enjoy 😎
