Also, I am not naturally self celebratory either, and I have healed from that as well. I prayed about it and asked God to help me with the root of it, and it definitely stems from “people pleasing” for me as a child into adulthood. Im proud of you for making a shift and starting to celebrate the small and big wins. Both matter and all things should be counted Joy.

For me it stemmed from unworthiness and it feels so good to be free of it. I'm grateful that I have come to a place where now it feels more natural and easeful to look at myself as worthy. I feel like it took a lot more effort and negative emotion to take on someone else's perspective of how I should act instead of following what felt good for me.
