This is the last video of our 2022 summer family road trip. We ended our road trip at a place called Avenue of the Giants in Northern California.
This was such a fun road trip. We started at Creater Lake Oregon, then spent 3 days at the Overland Expo in Bend Oregon then 2 nights at Winchester bay Oregon riding in a Honda UTV in the dunes...then ended it with the Redwood forest in Northern California.
    Next year...Glacier National Park Idaho.

Here are some of the cameras I use to get the high quality buttery smooth video you see on my channel. I love the DJI OSMO action because it has image stabilization (no 3 axis gimbal needed and a front facing screen) And its affordable!!!

insta 360 ONE X2 (360 degree camera) This is how I get those chase views on the bicycles.

GoPro Hero 10 - This has "horizon lock" which is amazing! Combined with image stabilization....this camera basically killed all my 3 axis gimbals lol. Its a game changer for action video. Hyper smooth is no joke. Invest and buy it if you are serious about making videos.

When I was stationed at Lemoore NAS a few of us got together and went out to Sequoia National Park. Wow them some tall trees, very impressive. Beautiful country out there. I've never been that far north in California where you were but sure is neat to see all them trees.

I’d like to visit sequoia national park before fires in California burn them down . Or at least before fires make the area ugly.
My good buddy was stationed at Lemoore in the early 90s. He said the only thing he liked there was the easy access to Yosemite.

Busy this season. I'm happy you're enjoying your family time and giving us content. My strike team is on alert for one close to home. Castaic. I think my wife is getting tired of my old ass being called up. Lol. She convinced herself for some reason I volunteer (she's concerned about my age) but it's a mutual aid thing. We had a 'discussion.' She's just worried.
My nephew's crew spent 16 days in Washburn fire with Federal Fire. He's only 23 but testing with Ventura and Riverside Counties and The city of Anaheim. It's her oldest sisters boy. You have great content battle. Keep it up.

The citizens of California are surely thankful for your service and sacrifice bro.
It sucks getting old for sure. We had a call today of a break in with homeless living inside an abandoned house today. My partner is probably 60ish (former sherif deputy in Florida) he hit his knee on something during our building search and he couldn’t even bend his knee to get back in the patrol car. It didn’t look bad but he might have torn a ligament? If so he is done in this profession at his age.
When I retire I might have 15 years on my own 2 feet if I’m lucky.
I don’t take life for granted anymore. I could have a stroke tomorrow. I want to enjoy my health while I can.
Stay strong bro. Stay safe out there.

So glad to see you passing through, bummed I didn't get to meet ya, lol. You were right in my backyard! Had to laugh when you mentioned seeking shelter in the tree during bad weather. In years past, I used to work nights keeping the roads open during the winter. Those trees fall when when the wind kicks up during storms. Trust me, you don't want to be there when it happens...
    Great video!

Thanks for the tip. Mental note. Never use a hollow standing tree for shelter in a storm. What town do you live in?

Definitely taking my family there next summer. Tried to follow your family Yellowstone trip this June but it flooded out on our arrival, so we explored Grand Tetons instead. Man those kids grow up fast.

That was so sad to hear about Yellowstone. It’s so hard to keep our history during good times let alone during a disaster.
We want to go back to Yellowstone and see the eastern part that we missed. Sadly I think that’s the side that was flooded?
      Thanks for watching!
