@@ashleyprincewashington2130 Funny you say that - one of my livestream topic ideas is to have an actual rapper teach me to rap. I would be terrible, of course! But I wouldn't mind looking foolish trying to learn if it helps encourage others to try because they might be good!
Ryan, your videos are the best. Concise, well-produced and memorable. I'm going through your older tutorials and tricks, which are tremendously useful. You're my Reason teacher :)
Agree! If I told you that I can watch Ryan’s videos while cooking, doing my workout… and yes! Even with my laptop to follow up the steps in his tutorials 🙌🏻
YESSSSSS!! More videos like this please, of showing how to use these Reason workflows to make SONGS like you just did here, instead of showing them in a vacuum.
I think this is one of the most impressive tutorials of *any* DAW I've ever seen. Seriously. It's a fantastic showcase of Reason presented by an incredibly talented musician, and it leaves you eager to drop a quick comment before firing up the product and having fun. You've really made my Sunday. Cheers!
Jon!! I say this with every bit of sincerity that I can squeeze out of a UA-cam comment's text-only delivery format: That means SO much for me to read and is all I (or Reason Studios) could hope to hear. The work I do in making these videos ends up inspiring myself to make music, and my main goal is to make that inspirational feeling contagious in the video itself. So thanks for sharing that with me. It makes the effort feel worthwhile.
@@RyanHarlin you are very welcome. As soon as I can repair and upgrade my Mac (today) I wanna get beck into production. (It feels like my birthday all over again ) 😂
Ryan’s videos are my favorite: educational, practice oriented, and so full of humor (your rave costume is absolute genious). Think I’ve learned as much of Chord Seq as an 3 hour class. Was missing you here, man! 🙌🏻👏🏻🎉
Whenever I work in Reason, I hear Ryan's voice! I went through different DAW phases throughout the years. But I have to say that because of Ryan's personality and fun engaging videos - Reason is my number 1 favorite for life!
I didn't realize just HOW much I missed Ryan's videos (nod back to Super Neat Beat Cheat Sheets). The shorts are good, live is good, but these are GREAT! Thank you Ryan!
It's funny how i noticed this morning that i'm kinda addicted to these reason videos, thinking: "where is my every second-day-Reason-Video?" The answer was not long in coming, with a neon Ryan waving with a 17 min video out of my YT Thumbnails 😆 @Ryan can't you just cancel everything else in life and just concentrate on our addiction please? 🤩🙏
Excellent pedagogical approach! Also, not typically a fan of the generally slick type of pop track he was creating, but have to admit it was a banger when he was done. Loved all the subtle little techniques and additional skills/tools he touched on as he rounded out the track, all building off of the themes he elaborated on earlier. Wonderful!
Just spent a few hours after work, reauthorizing and updating all my plugins and Reason apps then watched this inspiring video but now I'm tired - lol! It is inspiring though.
Ryan puts more work in his educational videos, than anyone around. Before him there was a bold guy, who produced this tutorials of this quality. Now it is Rayn
This is awesome! Love the updates to the player and those were some great tips. I particularly like that idea you mentioned about having Chord Sequncer one control the chord selection of Chord Sequencer two which might have different voicing. That's a really cool instrumentation idea 👌🏻
Even after using reason since its inception it keeps amazing me how versatile it is, this is a great example of many things, but most of all i love the managebility part you showed here. This concept is awesome and has so much potential. Going to try it out immidiately! Thanks Ryan.
Wow Ryan! This is a great vid. Very cool and very helpful. Thank you so much. You cover so much in such a short time. Humorous and informative! Great combination. Keep it up. We love your videos. Sincerely, Steve & Cheri I love Reason!
So informative. These Reason videos always leaves me feeling like even though I've used Reason for years, I've never really used Reason. So much more to explore
*clap clap clap* brilliant Ryan!! i only started testing CS last week.....time to pony up for it....been awhile since i got a RE. this is worth it.....
Very nice tutorial for creative music maker. This is the way I like to make music with reason. Very very cool. Thanks man. This will help me on my next project.
Great video Ryan, so good at explaining the creative options for routing all the stuff in Reason. CS is already one of my most-used players (great song-starter IME) and this update looks dope. Reason is (in my setup anyway) finally stable and back to the Reason of old I remember over the last 20 years. Just need to get VST3 and M1 out the door now…
Amazing video Ryan. Well done! Love and appreciate the amount of time that must go into making it. And you’ve given me some ideas I have to try later tonight. Thanks for a laugh too!
Hey Ryan, pure gold as always with your videos. Very informative - I always look forward to your content. I have leaned more about chord sequencer in this video than I had on my own - next question is how you found a great ‘song vocal’ on splice so quickly - I spend ages looking for something other than small phrases ;) Thank You
Well Tim, I wish I had great advice on the splice search. It can be tricky. One thing I use that helps me narrow it down is the key signature filters you see me using in the video. Then after that some of my scanning happens visually by just looking on screen for long waveforms that would indicate more material to work with. I've also tried stuff like search terms that include "verse" or "hook".
Give this guy a raise man. He's funny. He drags into the videos and gives you so much knowledge
Can we please get a video that is 10 hours of Ryan raving in a dark room?
That... can be arranged.
But he needs to put that hair in some epic pigtails on the sides this time.
@@arothmanmusic You know I contemplated doing the pig-tails but I ended up going with "chaotic fluff" instead. :D /ryan
Definitely we need him to rap to some hip hop 🤣💯🔥🔥

The quality of this video just elevates even further the product, namely the chord sequencer

🔥🔥🔥🔥 I needed this video today 💯💪🏽
Same 🎹🤞🏽🔥🔥🔥
We need a Reason Chord Sequencer community lol... More chord progressions ... Love this!
Chord sequencer really has been a game changer. Super happy to see an update

Ryan, you went crazy with the wiring. Wow. Didn't know you could do all that. Wouldn't have even imagined it.
As usual, Ryan’s video is not only educational but incredibly inspiring. Bring back the livestream for a new season!
Talks are underway for more livestreams! /ryan

Yeah Ryan is back with amazing tuts 🎊 🎉. More footage of Ryan the dancer 🕺 please
9:50 Wiring bass notes of the sequencer. That is sick... Love it.

Yoh! I missed Ryan’s tutorials. Feels like it’s been some time since the last one.
This is the best way to do incredibly complex chord progressions....I will study tremendously!!!!
