Your reason rack behind you is the most realistic rack I have ever seen. Reason has done a really good job on realism. I bet it makes you feel like you are in a real recording studio.
I just bought Reason 12 yesterday after seeing all it has to offer now. I'm a 36 year old going back for his Masters degree, so I got Reason+ 12 for only $99. Reason 3 was my first DAW I bought back in 2007. I learned so much from it. I had only used things like the Korg Triton before that, but that keyboard wasn't mine, so I had to part ways when I left my parent's house after high school. I only switched from Reason to Reaper in 2009 because Reason 3 didn't allow audio recording at that time. I've went through a ton of DAWs since then. Currently using Pro Logic X since 2018. But I'm happy that I've decided to switch back to Reason. And so happy I can now use all my plugins with it, as well all my outboard synths and drum machines. The reason why I also love Reason is the built-in SSL like mixer. I don't like using so many plugins. I value being able to mix on a board. Rather it be analog or a built-in one that resembles an analog one. Which is one of the reason why I used Cakewalk Sonar for years (in the past before switching from PC to Mac).
I’ll try to sum it up: It’s basically grain advanced. The sampler has no pitch recognition, so I need to know in advance what key my sample is in. As much as I like the functionality of this device, this is one important feature missing for a sampler. Imho. I was afraid, when they announced it, that this would be missing. I hope the new combinator is more thought through.

They could add a small 'link slot' check box to each button to update / change parameters to selected slots.
@@bryannamyo that’s not good UI design. One global button that activates global editing is enough, or a modifier key!
@@Notacet What if you wanted to change the parameters for some of the samples? This is where a link box would come in handy. A modifier key could work but would probably change all parameters at once.
I'd be fine with a "copy value" and "paste value" feature.
This video was epic and helpful. The Mimic is so amazing and I can’t wait to tag you in my first video about it.
Not much of a sample user myself. Mimic looks like the sampler for me. Fantastic.
Right!? That's sorta how I felt when I started messing with it too - and why I opened my video with admitting my truth that I don't mess with samples as much as I probably should (and now will with Mimic). Good luck!! /ryan
Can't wait to try it out. I feel like this is gonna end up being a fav
Great video. Is there a way to change the pitch, and time stretch of each slice independently? This would please me 🤣😂🦾💯
Hey wow, the way from silence to what you show is a reason to walk it....:-)
Cool. Can we also expect some sequencer updates to look forward to?
ROFL ! You mean for version 24 or version 38 ?
@@Oper8Music Nah, if Reason 12 doesn't offer what I expect from a modern DAW, I don't see why I would stick with it. We've been waiting long enough!
@@suryadnb I so agree, mate. Though I'm so used to Reason that I can't possibly change all my habits and workflow (and convert 1,500+ songs...) all of a sudden, or just because they're too lazy to give (sell) us features and tools that other DAWs have.
I was just making a bad, sillly joke - as Reason is tending to be, year after year. This brand new sample player is coming only 10 years too late after all, and the browser doesn't seem to be revolutionary either. Well, who knows what they're going to give (sell) us with Reason 13... Maybe MIDI multichannel ? MIDI input routing per channel, like Reaper and others already have since ages ? Or CV/MIDI/other tools natively, without us having to purchase a specific Rack Extension each time ?
Hey ryan. Has anyone actually mentioned before that you are amazing ? Oh. it has happened yet? Never mind. I haven't done it yet. So I do: YOU ARE FANTASTIC. Your videos too. oh. that rhymes ryan :-)
