My brother worked with Bill on a film that was shot in Mexico about 20 years ago. He said that Bill was the sweetest, nicest guy and was a pleasure to work with. R.I.P.
Never could tell he was so tall, most of his roles were diminutive and a boost for the main character.❤RIP🙏. Arnie loved him, me too (except as an ax wielding "fundamentalist").He's great, Lonnie's great, and all the rest in this show.
Someone’s already said it better. But Bill Paxton was one of those actors where if he was in the movie, it was solid Gold. I mean Apollo 13, Tombstone, Twister, True Lies, he was just a sigh of a good movie. Thank you for the clips.
Bill should have won the Academy Award for Aliens. After watching the movie all my classmates started acting like him and doing his lines. We laughed our asses off!!!!!
The company gave Ripley a hearing and denied existence of such an Allen. As soon as they lost contact with the terraform colony, Lt gormley called the alien a xenomorph. So how did they have an official name for the alien they just denied ever existing? Ripley should have stayed home and passed on that mission
Talk about time in a bottle. To see Bill Paxton with long hair and no wrinkles with Carson asking for info, and to see him later during Twister with Helen Hunt, and watch him pass away too young. A sad turn of events for an interesting man. May God Rest His Spul.
Even tho he played a douchbag in it, one of mine is Weird Science with Kelly LeBrock which had came out the year before this appearance on the Tonight Show.
Bill Paxton was such a great actor! As I see mentioned previously here, he most definitely was underrated and never given the full credit he should have been given.. he pulled off a great performance in Titanic and so many other shows period. He most definitely left this Earth way too soon and is so missed and always will be actors like him just aren't around anymore period.😢

OK, someone needs to send this to his SON James Paxton right now! He needs to see this because Bill Paxton was his Father and R.I.P. Bill Paxton, you'll always be a legend in our hearts! But if nobody will send it to him, maybe I will.
My favorite unknown film of Bill's is One False Move, a suspense thriller written by Billy Bob Thornton & also starring Billy Bob & Michael Beach. It is freakin' awesome!
He was actually sitting on his dad's shoulders, during JFK's speech in front of the Hotel Texas in Ft. Worth. He's visible in some of the photos that morning.
Excellent, underrated actor. His role in Titanic was exceptional 👏. It was a role that most cannot imagine anyone else doing after seeing the movie. RIP Pax🙏
Sounded like a decent guy who wanted to be an actor. Too short a spot on the show. There were times when the last guest is not given enough time. I liked him then and before. Rip
Bill Paxton at 61yrs old in 2017 died of complications of an open heart surgery, perhaps a botched surgery, after which the family sued the doctor and hospital for wrongful death. News reporting excerpt: In February 2022, Paxton's family reached a partial settlement with General Anesthesia Specialists Partnership for $1 million. In August 2022, the case was settled against Cedars-Sinai and Dr. Khoynezhad under undisclosed terms.
Interesting fact about him he mentioned that he grew up in Fort Worth as a boy he was in the crowd the morning Nov 22,1963 seeing JFK hours before he was assassinated in Dallas.

Really? He was such an a$$hole on Weird Science 😜
He sure looked like a dream "cool uncle".
Bill Paxton. An underrated actor, imo. He died much too young!

@@nomadscavenger I thought that “A Simple Plan” was a great movie!! And one of his best performances.
I agree, they are all greats.
Yeah, overall he was good, but his acting in twister wasn't so good.
Was a great actor and had a way of entertaining us.
I fell in love with Bill Paxton in Twister!
What a Southern sweetheart!
Loved him in Tombstone also.
RIP, precious one! 💋
Game over man in memory of bill Paxton

Spot on Hunter, he added big time to every movie he was in
And don't forget Titanic! He was great in it and made the show, I think!😊
"Who's coming with me man?!" From alien 2 aswel
One of the best! RIP
He had the biggest smile in Hollywood, one of my favourites, weird science,a favorite and twister 😮
He has a smile like Dennis Quaid
Bill should have won the Academy Award for Aliens. After watching the movie all my classmates started acting like him and doing his lines. We laughed our asses off!!!!!
Same here, even to this day we still repeat Bills lines from Aliens. Such a shame he’s gone, way to soon.
GAME OVER MAN!
Yup. An icon for that time, fer sure

Aliens is one of my favorite movies ever and Bill Paxton is the reason why.
He was such a jerk in Weird Science. Lol.

@@Camop-iz9kt WOW! 🤩 What are the odds! That’s an really an incredible thing.
The singer Meatloaf was around during that too, I think the police used him or his friends car.

It's over man! Who put Carson in charge?
What a bizarre comment. It's HIS show.
@JazTrance that was a line Paxton said in Aliens. Only its "why dont we put her in charge!"
near dark the best

I never noticed, he looks very close to a fusion of Jim Carrey with Tom Cruise. Even the body language is like Carrey.
Based off his look and date...this must have been around when Near Dark was being filmed! Total icon and gone way too soon.
Was def on some coke here 😆
Who is that woman?
Loni Anderson. She was on, "WKRP in Cincinnati", and later, married Burt Reynolds.
