Love to see a small business like that sub joint getting all the business that comes with bike park traffic. MTB brings amazing benefits to communities!
I think that's one of the coolest parts about things like this, mountain biking really does make the whole community a better place and helps support local businesses!
I really like local places near the trails like this. It's like an after ride treat to get to go to some local shop you dont otherwise go to, and not just going through a McDonalds or something.
They also aren’t filled with many, if not any, bad people and are nice people most of the time as they are just looking for some fun.
Hopefully they expand and hire more staff instead of hiking up the prices.
The Porter boys are ripping--I'm very impressed with how well Owen is handling his new bike.
You can tell how proud Seth is of this project and rightfully so.

Took my 11 year old out on Saturday- we did something like 50 laps on High Roller and On the Fly- fun fun fun times!! Even made it through the rock garden on my hardtail :)

Looks amazing. I am hoping and wishing that this park just explodes on youtube and in the real world because we need more bike parks like this in the Southwest. We've not nothing like this anywhere in Southern AZ and it kinda sucks. Sure, we got tech and DH and here and there, and XC/trail for days, but no bike parks and jump lines, much less a free publicly accessible one!
Yeah this is really cool, it's a great case study to show other communities how much of a benefit it is for the residents, tourists, and local businesses!
Wish we had these type of trails well organized and maintained. I could use with my kids and see if they started loving bikes!
Yeah it's pretty cool. I volunteered with our local trail non-profit to help fundraise and work with the land managers to get trails like this where I live in Utah, it's a lot of work but we got it done!
@8:25 Howard (The Sandwich shop guy) is incredibly nice. Had a really great conversation with him at closing on opening day. He is going to be serving ($4) wine and is trying to get some music going. A perfect end to a trail day. I showed him the shoutout in Seth's Berm Park opening day video and He kept wanting to rewatch it.
He is awesome, that was great to meet him. Hope he gets to see this video as well! I love seeing mountain biking support other local businesses!

I’ve watched this project with great interest. I’m really hoping there will be some aggressive XC trails added to park. Jumps are cool and all, but I like keeping my wheels on the ground most of the time, but love some features and obstacles.
Yeah I get that, I'm not sure if there will be or not, although the return trail Bear Country is really fun singletrack! The point of building this park as well is to provide bike park style trails to the Asheville area since most of the riding there is already techy XC singletrack.
The area is full of highly rated XC already! Having another XC trail or two from the flight deck would make for a pretty sweet "one stop shop" kinda thing though :D
To think the amount of life Berm Park has brought to the surrounding community. That italian guys sandwich business is going to boom! can't wait to take a trip out there.
I think that's the best part about it really, I wanna go back!

Sweet, sweet and surprise, surprise:-) Eric's got his first vid from the Berm Park opening up already :-D Didn't expect this, thought the road trip would be finished and then editing would commence, glad you took the time to get it up. Your boys had Alexander in some trouble trying to follow them, they sure are ripping these days. Looking forward to the rest of the vids from this trip, so happy that the turn out was so massive, such an awesome looking place and such great work by Seth.
Haha yeah I didn't expect to get it done on the trip either, it was a late one last night! Stoked to get the next couple vids from the trip out on a more regular schedule! Good times riding with Alexander as well, haven't seen him in a while!

As to Alexander, took a lot to show not riding for over 4 months, figured he'd not be in shape, but was quite surprised he was that "off" though in technique. Hoping it came back to him quickly so he could really enjoy his trip, the fitness, well, we all know that just takes some dedicated hard work and it'll come back.

I’m going to berm park on the 21st, and I’ve re-watch this like four times in the last week
I’ve never hit jumps before, and the biggest drops I’ve done were literally dropping off of curbs
Hopefully I can clear on the fly by the end of the day

thanks for the run down, obviously looks awesome.... so seems like Bear Country goes quite a bit further down the mountain...are the jump runs situated more on the top half? Are there plans to wind them down further?
Not sure on future plans, but yeah the jumps are in the upper zone and Bear Country goes for quite a while, it's really fun!

Yeah it's really nice for quick laps! It's about a 300' vert climb up from the parking lot, then only 80' vert each time you climb back up from the jump trails.
