Love all your videos, but this one is special. The Obed/Daddy’s Creek is a such a wonderful place and to spend the night in it truly captivates one in its contrast; like the grandeur of the massive cliffs, and the tiny details in the often overlooked nooks and crannies within the boulders that lie in the riverbed! Keep up your awesome work. Also I really like the poetic style of this video!
Amazing! Loved it! Cant wait to do it. I have ran the caney fork! Blew my mind, but this overnighter combo of different water and the topography , you captured it well!
I just bought a kayak . It's a pelican castaway 100. Now I never been on one. I got it for 75 bucks. I'm putting stabilizers on it first cause it's going into winter now and I want to fish. I'm m seeing it up for fishing right now but this summer will been another adventure in life hopefully. I really enjoy all of the videos. I love the all day video of you guys kayaking. It looks so fun. I waited till I'm 53 years old but I think I can do. it
Amazing. This film is giving me an even greater appreciation for a place I alreaady knew was magical. Ive paddled the Gauley and the ocean, and theres no place Id rather paddle than the Obed system. Only done Daddys once but Fang is an image that is burned in my mind.
I love this! Your videos are always entertaining, and hypnotic. Always learn a little on each one. I don't really do whitewater, other than some level 2 on my sit-on, but videos like this makes me want to invest in a sit-in.
Awesome trip, looked like John was having a bad day but was a trooper. Pete do you have a video of your solar panel set up. If so i cant seem to find it. Great video would love to try that stretch someday!
Wow nice trip. When you guys and gals go down the river do you keep a certain order so you know if someone is missing etc. Like the last guy? who is watching out for him etc. Can't wait to see next part. Cheers
First of all, awesome video! I am just curious though, and I am not trying to be rude I promise. You describe a lot of south eastern classic rivers as your first time down (Chattooga, Nolichucky, etc.). I am just curious what rivers you have ran the most? You seem very keen on Wilson's and some local spots, but what else does it for you?
Love creeking the most. Elk river, Russell fork Gorge, Watauga, Cheoah etc...I love it all! Back in the day, I skipped over most of the lesser class runs. Lately, with my son in tow, I am rediscovering the world of class 2, 3 and stuff I had not done before etc...
I agree. I've done plenty of camping in a long touring kayak but never in my whitewater. Would love to see how you pack and what you bring for a WW trip....btw, great vid!
Awesome...and that word doesn't even do it justice.
Thanks a ton Harry!!
This is a great video guys, big water, dramatic voice over, well done, the journey continues, girls from Australia love it, big subscribe 😘😘😘
Right on T23G!! Welcome aboard! Thanks for the kind words!
@@RiverKingsKayak T23G, love it, took a moment to work out what it meant 😠🥴
This is where I live. Best place in the whole world.
Right on Joshua!
Nice filming from the middle of the pack. I like the space you allowed in your narrative. Well written. Beautiful water, looks cold man.

Amazing! Loved it! Cant wait to do it. I have ran the caney fork! Blew my mind, but this overnighter combo of different water and the topography , you captured it well!
Thanks Troy!
Another good video Pete, be careful camping near the cliffs, friend of mine got injured with falling rocks when he did. Stay safe!
Was on my mind...I stayed down by the river though
My favorite type of video that you do! Kayak camping with great commentary! The way you tell your story is so captivating! Excited for the next one!
Thanks TT!
That 50 minutes went by in a flash! Can't wait for Ch. 2!
At 17:15, I really don't understand how Kirk manages to maneuver him back into the eddy while upside down. That was awesome.
He got a t rescue and that back flow pushed them out that way...was weird looking at first in person too...lol! He used the force.
Yup...my favorite type of video from you. Sure, I catch ‘em all, but this...epic!
Thanks Kathy!!
Looks great!
Another Great video and adventure, and as always Thank You for sharing. Looking forward to part II.

Do it woody!!
@@RiverKingsKayak I am. Tax return just showed up this morning. ;)
Looking forward to it!!
This should be interesting. Have never been to the Obed, but close. Is about 54 miles from home,so I would say its in my back yard or west of it :)
It is amazing!!
Excited to see this!

Thanjs Jeff!! I do...search voltaic systems...
Impressive how much gear you can actually put in a little white water boat.
Thats for sure!
Wow nice trip. When you guys and gals go down the river do you keep a certain order so you know if someone is missing etc. Like the last guy? who is watching out for him etc. Can't wait to see next part. Cheers
Thanks KM! Normally, there is a designated sweep or last man that ensures all are present.
HAHA You were close to my home Crossville, Tn.... Obed river and Daddy's creek run thru the county as does clear creek in the north end of the county.
Right on Billy Bob!!
Amazing place !
Thank you!

@@RiverKingsKayak Dude please do a Cheoah video!
Can’t wait
Right on!
My fave is Mt. House biscuits and gravy for breakfast 😋
Oh man! I will give that a try next trip! Thanks!
Do you write the narrative yourself? So well spoken! Inspiring!!
I do AF. Thank you!!
I am ready for some camping out of my short boat.
For sure Shane!
Why put such a long time for premier... I usually forget and end up missing it. Maybe one day would be good cheers
I hear ya KM! Hard to know what's best sometimes... Try setting the reminder on the premiere page. It will give you a 30 min heads up.
Man excellent from the start. You make my trips look mediocre
Thanks RR!
Great campsites. Would like to have seen how you packed everything into that boat.
Thanks Josh! Great idea for a video!
I agree. I've done plenty of camping in a long touring kayak but never in my whitewater. Would love to see how you pack and what you bring for a WW trip....btw, great vid!
What part of Tennessee was this filmed in.
Cumberland Plateau. Obed Canyon
@@RiverKingsKayak Awesome brother. Tennessee is a really beautiful state.
UGQ River King quilt. Real Flex. -Echo
Thanks Brent!
Are we packing gear in the short boats?
For sure!!
So why the flying squirrel and not the new Alpha?
My Alpha is only 75 gallons...the FS is 95. I love the FS for camping as it is easy to pack and paddles well heavy.
26:15 fire blackened rock from the indians
very cool!
