Snappy Flip-Flap Pop-up Card Tutorial with template (basic difficulty DIY)

Flip-Flap Pop-up Card Tutorial with template (basic difficulty DIY). A fun and easy to make pop-up card using the H-slot technique.

Paper weight: 80lb / 216 gms
Tools needed:
- Glue or double sided sticky tape
- Hobby knife or X-acto knife, or scissors
- Ruler for cutting and scoring
- Scoring pen or paperclip
Step 1: Score the dotted lines and cut out all
the main piece, the cover and the double
layers for the cover.
Step 2: Fold over and glue or tape the
double layer for the pull tab (B)
Step 3 :Fold in the two tiny “C” tabs and
slide the piece trough the right slot I.
Fold out the “C” tabs on the backside and
pull the tab trough the left slot I.
Step 4: Fold over the main flap and position
it (folded in) in the slot on the right side I.
Push it all the way into the outer ecorners.
Tip: use my video as a reference for positioning)
Step 5: Glue or tape tab (A) on glue point A.
Step 6: Gently open and close the card and
help the mechanism so it finds it’s way.
Step 7: Add the double layer for the back
side of the card using the glue point marks.
Optional: Add a double layer for the front
side of the card.

If you find it hard to make this work, you may need to try it with different paper. I use paper between 160 and 200 GSM. Also make sure to work very precise.
