    I’m in Year 9 and love Georgrapy. I received an assessment back today on ‘to what extent was the BP oil spill a disatster’ it had 12 possible marks and I got 11. However, my teacher reassured me that if I had a couple minutes more, I would have earned that extra mark. This got me wondering on how to maximise my marks within a short period of time so I looked for some videos on how to get top grades in exams and came across this one. It is an excellent video, very clear and followable. I’m sure it really will help me in the future when I properly start my GCSE course. Thanks!

    At my school we are taught to write BLT paragraphs which works well to ensure you develop your points - because ... leads to ... therefore ...

    Thanks mate. Right now I’m on a grade 4 (RIP) and I’m not as smart as I was back then when I could get a grade 5 with no effort. Hopefully I can get an even better grade.

    Hi, thank you for making this video (it's really helpful!). Also, quickly wanted to ask is P.E.E.D (Point, Example,Explain,Develop) the same as P.E.E.L (Point, Example, Explain, Link). Do you think i should stick with (what I am currently using) P.E.E.L or change to P.E.E.D

    this is great but for GCSE there are lots and lots of syllabuses which will be in the exam , whic makes it almost impossible to remember 2-3 points for each bit !!

    • @mrhuntsgeographychannel2289
      @mrhuntsgeographychannel2289  2 роки тому

      Do your learning gradually over months and you will remember most of it. The learning can’t be left until the last week or two. Also, use flash cards, mind maps, pictures, mnemonics and rhymes to help you remember - don’t just read the information. For example, I remember that La Niña means rain in Australia through the phrase ‘Nina cries in Australia’. Hope this helps!

    Is there a place where we can access all of the information in Geography that we need to know for our exams? For example, case studies, information on all of the topics etc.

      Whilst this video, and many other videos I've produced, are suitable for all exam boards, my Geography channel will cover everything needed for the OCR 'B' syllabus. Just a few bits left...

    What exam board is this for? Is it for every exam board? My school uses PDD (Point, Develop, Develop or Point, Detail, Develop) and I find that it's holding me back. Would PEED be better?

      @@nikitagoodison6638 I do OCR B as well. The first exam has the compulsory topics of Changing Climate and Distinctive Landscapes, so concentrate on them. Don’t try to learn everything - learn a few key facts for each bit and focus on the case studies. If you look at my play lists I’ve done a playlist for both Changing Climate and Distinctive Landscapes. Good luck!

      Yours is a good point! I do think there are only 3 things but, the second one, including case specific detail, involves a lot of learning across every part of the syllabus!
